When they were done. They went to the foyer and their car keys were given to them. Avalon went to his car and took the flowers and the chocolates and went inside to the King and Queen. He gave the chocolates to the couple and the flower, he asked the Queen’s maid of honor to give to the Princess.
And as he handed it, he bowed to the King and the Queen and asked their permission to go.
“Thank you for visiting us and giving us something.”
The Queen smiled and said.
“You know he loves this chocolate?”
“Really? My pleasure. Your Highness, can I visit sometime again?
“Of course. But I guess, it’s not about the venture anymore?”
And he smiled and nodded.
The next day, Avalon talked to Fiona.
“Fiona, yesterday when I saw the Princess, something inside me is saying that.......”
“Do you have a crush on the Princess?”
Avalon smiled and shrugged his shoulder
“What about Cristina?”
“I have to break up with her before I pursue the Princess.”
“We shouldn’t have teased and forced you to court her. We just knew she has a deep crush on you.”
“But, isn’t it Royals only marry their same?”
“That’s what I know, but they say that other Royals choose the commons as well. I am not sure.”
Then Fiona placed her hand on Avalon.
“How much do you like her? It depends on you.”
Avalon knew that he has to pursue the Princess. He thought of sending flowers, but it won’t count if Alexandria won’t know it came from him. He planned on entering their house and talking to the Princess, but she might be startled and the whole castle will run to capture him.
After a week, Avalon called Albert if he can meet the King and the Queen regarding the venture, he wants to further explain how and when they can get their capital and their gains from the investment. So Albert talked to the secretary of the King to schedule an appointment. A few days later.
“Avalon, we have a schedule this Friday with the King and the Queen.”
His eyes popped in excitement.
“Really? What time?”
“Ten in the morning.”
“Great, I will buy the King his chocolates.”
And I ask my secretary to find me the best truffle in town for I have a meet with the King.
“Stella, please buy me the best truffle chocolates in town that I can give to the King. Buy some extras that we can taste it as well.”
“I can taste it before I buy it so I will just buy extras for you and your mom?”
“Yes, please.”
And Stella started to browse for the best truffle in their town. Meanwhile, Avalon searches and tried to know who the Princess is and what she wants, but no one knows and there isn’t enough news about her. Her life is so private. Her parents were good at hiding her.
A day after, Stella gave Avalon some chocolates.
“Here, taste this if it’ll pass and I will ask them to deliver today.”
Avalon took a piece and bit. After savoring the taste he gestures okay in hand and Stella nodded.
“I will order it now.”
“Order it but let them deliver on Friday morning so it’s fresh.”
“Oh okay.”
“Would you like some flowers to go with it?”
Stella raised her eyebrows several times teasing Avalon. But Avalon just smiled and raised his hand and waved.
Friday came and Avalon got excited. He has a plan on how to get Alexandria’s attention. He just hopes it works.
He prepared himself and wore the best shirt and shined shoes he can get. He got the chocolate truffles and called Albert to meet him in the restaurant near the castle.
“Albert, what do you think of my outfit?”
“It looks perfect and debonnaire.”
“Thanks. You think I can have a chance?”
“I believe so.”
“Thank you for giving me the drive to go on. I am not so sure of my plans, but I will try anything and everything.”
“Okay, are you ready?”
“I am a little nervous, I guess.”
“Who wouldn’t. You will be talking to the King and the Queen.”
“I heard the couple is both kind and understanding.”
“Mind you, the father is serious with all his daughter’s suitors.”
Avalon looked at Albert and frowned
“If my daughter would be that beautiful, I would, too.”
“Now we’re talking.”
“You’re making me nervous.
“So you would know how to attack.”
“Can you talk to the King alone later so I can talk to the Queen about something?”
“Sure. Let me just find the right timing later.”
So Avalon and Albert both rode their car and convoyed going to the castle. As they told the guard of their schedule with the King, the guard looked at their schedules and let them in.
The butler welcomed them and asked them to stay in the foyer as he calls the King and the Queen. They were asked then to go to the garden where the couple is staying for tea.
“Good morning, would you like some tea?”
“Good morning, Your Highness.”
Avalon and Albert both bowed to them.
The maidservant gave them both some tea.
“What are we to talk about Avalon and Albert?”
