Chapter 25

Mercury pov

I was sitting there with Isaiah listening to the little boy named Flex. He was explaining what he saw in the woods. He told us about Ace and a woman beating the luna. I was confused. I felt like I heard this story before. My son looked at me as well. He was growling. But he didn't growl like this before either. Something had changed. My lycan Shadow growled. He didn't like the feeling he was having. Things are different right now. I stood up and looked at little Flex.

"Hey little guy. Did your parents have to stand at attention when Alpha Ace came over to your house?" he nodded his head.

"Yes sir, they sure did. And if they didn't they would get into trouble. Luna said we didn't have to do that. But when she wasn't around he was a different person. He was a mean alpha; he would hurt daddy, sometimes making him bow down to him. Then he would kick daddy in the head." I sighed, shaking my own head. I midlinked my son.

"I think the moon goddess is playing tricks we been here before and you told him to go home and we would be there in a few minutes.when we get there, his sister will open the door and their parents will be there standing at attention. My son looked at me confused. I could tell he was thinking. Then it just dawned on him.

"Dad, I think you are right. I'm starting to remember a few things. But maybe Selena is trying to right a few wrongs. Maybe we should just go with it. And see where it takes us" I wasn't sure if we should do that. I wanted Cheyenne back with me. A part of me knew we should had been together all along but what happens if I was wrong. Maybe we are not mates and I might find my true mate some place else. I do not want to have my hopes up. When I see Cheyenne again. I might not even feel the mate pull. I know we have been through so much s**t. I still remember the day that her parents traded her to me because they couldn't afford to pay me back. She was feisty. She faulted me tooth and nail and when she came to one of my collections they ended up stabbing her because she had gotten in the way. I had to bite her to help her live. I knew we were mates but when she shifted into her wolf it proved that we were truly mates. She trained every single day. Got stronger and learned how to fight a whole lot better. I remember when Goldie called her a w***e testing her to see how strong she was. she punched Goldie right in the face. And when Hawk came to claim that he was Cheyenne's real father. And now she has a sister. I wonder where she is right now. I will need to contact her. And tell her everything that has happened. The girls, and about Bryce? The memories started flooding back into my mind. My wolf and lycan howling like crazy. They too are remembering everything that has happened in the past and in the future. I was angry. How dare the moon goddess try to erase my memories. I couldn't handle this anymore. I asked little Flex to head home. We will visit him later on. Once out of the house. I started to yell.

"MOON GODDESS I KNOW YOU ARE WATCHING AND LiSTENING. GET DOWN HERE NOW!!" not more than ten minutes went by when a huge ball of bright light came through. We have to look away and cover our eyes. That's how bright it was. I guess I made her angry but right now I didn't care. I wanted answers. She came out of that ball of light like hell on wheels. She got in my face. And I had to step away just a little.

"First young man, DO NOT EVER DEMAND ANYTHING FROM ME EVER AGAIN. IS THAT CLEAR?" I was stunned. The power that came out of her was very strong. It made me want to bow at her feet. But I didn't. I only bowed my head out of respect for her.

"why would you want to try and erase everything that just happened. We were so close to getting her back. But now no one remembers a damn thing now. Not even my other kids. They're not even here yet? Did the phone call even happen between Ace and Bryce yet?"

Moon goddess pov

I was just coming back from the higher ups. They agreed to give me another chance to right what I did wrong. I was sitting in my chair watching things when I heard Mercury Black one of my troubled children, demanding that I come see him. Does he know who the hell he is talking to. I will show his ass. I came down with a huge bright light making them cover their eyes and look away. I told him. first young man DO NoT ever demand anything from me ever again." he bowed his head to me. He asked me a few questions and I knew I had to tell him the truth. He won't expect anything else but that. I knew he hated lies. I made him like that. So me being me I took a deep breath and told him to sit his ass down and listen to me without saying a word or I will get up and leave. And he will never see me or Cheyenne again" he didn't like that. But he did sit down.

"Mercury, I made a huge mistake. I thought I was doing the right thing by putting you and Holly together and Cheyenne and Ace. But neither of you was truly happy. You had kids to try and make things better but it only got worse. I sat up there watching, wondering how I could make things better. I could not stop what Ace and Holly were going to do. No matter how hard I try. They would always come back to this. The higher ups gave me a chance to right what I did wrong. And this is what I'm trying to do. So give me a damn break here. You won't see Cheyenne right now until she is ready. They beat her down so hard that they killed her lycan and wolf. She fears that when you find out you will no longer want her. Yes you and her are mates but I'm just not going to let you have her she has to get stronger and better. As she bonds with her new lycan and wolf. To make their bond stronger. And it grows every day."

"When will I get to see her? When will the children get to see her? I know I need to get in touch with her sister. So I know she is going to want to see her. How am I to stand by knowing that Cheyenne is truly my mate and not see her every day?" I knew this was going to be hard on him even in death he still loved her. And even when he was with Holly he still loved Cheyenne. That is his soul mate. They were truly in love with each other. Even if they were not mates they would have chosen each other and rejected their mates.

"My dear troubled child. Don't worry okay. You will see her again. Eric's father is building an arena for a warrior challenge. She will be there. But I warn you. If you rush at her. She will run and then you will never see her again. They really did a number on her. So just be careful. And one more thing Mercury. Holly and Ace and their rogue pack will be there as well. They will just look different." I kissed his forehead and told him to be good. Even though I know he won't. And I was gone. I knew he would find a way to see her again. I just might help but not help out. They have to figure this out all on their own.
