Chapter 14

Aura Senka

When I walked into my home. I sat on the bed and I knew Cheyenne was in the bathroom. But I needed to tell her what my brother Chord had told me. When I got word that he wanted to talk to me. I knew it must be important. When he told me that Mercury was looking for Cheyenne. I knew I had to tell her. Was she ready for this information about Mercury. This was my chance to try and talk to her about seeing him. So I sat on the bed and waited for her to come out. When she did, She stood there looking at me then came over and asked what was wrong. Iwrong. I looked like I needed to tell her something. So. I took a deep breath and beginbegan to tell her what my brother had said to me. So when i got back to my home, i knew she was in the bathroom,. i was a little nervous to tell her but i knew she needed to know. When she walked out of the bathroom she knew I needed and wanted to talk to her. I patted the side of the bed so she could come over and sit beside me, this was going to be a long road for her. her eyes were still swollen. but atleast she could open them now, the burises around her neck looked a ugly yellow. but the rest of her was still pretty bad.

“I have news for you. My brother Chord called for me Cheyenne, he has the gift of second sight, he knows what will happen if we do not stop it, I went to see my brother and he told me that Mercury and his childern are worried about you, He is making plans to look for you. He doesn’t know what happened to you yet. But when he does. you know he will stop at nothing to find you and help you through this.” Cheyenne shook her head. I don’t want to see him right now Aura. I do not want to scare my kids or him. look how i look right now. look at my face. Do you think they will be able to look at me the same? I have to try and mind link him tell him to stay away. i need to heal and find who I am again. I havent even heard my lycan or Wolf. Just please Aura please stay here while i try and mind link Mercury.” I nodded at her and held her hands, because i knew this was going to hurt her head when she tries to mind link him. i dont know what she will say to him. I do not have the power to know this. So I held her hands. as her eyes glazed over.

her eyes glazed over as she held Aura hands. her head already started hurting but she knew she needed to try and mindlink him.

‘Mercury. if you can hear this. Please do not look for me. Please let me heal I do not need any pity from you or the children. i need to find myself again. i need to figure out who I am again. please i am asking you please do not look for me until i am ready." She shut the link off and closed her eyes,. she sighed as Aura waved her hand over her head making her head

I sat there making sure her head felt better, She looked over at me. with a worried look on her face. she softly sighed.

“Aura. I need to leave this place, He will come looking for me and he will find me. I do not need that right now. I don't even feel my lycan and wolf anymore.” Aura knew she had to tell her. she had to make sure she knew everything. this was going to be really hard.

“Cheyenne. When they beat you the way they did. your lycan and wolf died honey. but the moon goddess had given you another wolf any lycan. they are within you now. soon they will be healing you faster then you are.” The look on her face i will never forget. tears started pouring down her face.

“Then I have nothing now. i have nothing of Mercurys. He is the one that turned me. First because of the stabbing, thats how i got my wolf, i went with him on a collection one night, I stepped infront of a man that was trying to stab him, He saved me Aura. the second time was during a war. he bit me and thats how I got my lycan. now i have nothing of him now.”

‘But Cheyenne. you have a wolf and a lycan,. and they might be just as strong. just trust in them and you will find out.”

“You don’t understand. If i do not leave this please. He will find me here. hes a very smart man. he has trackers to track me down.” I shook my head at her. He will only allow to find you if we let him Cheyenne. Just stay here okay until you get better stay with my clan. Beside you will miss out on the arena. Warriors of other clans come and fight other warriors to see who is the strongest. I am also a warrior, maybe you can join us this year?” she shook her head

"I will only stay until I get better then I will leave and try to find some place to go. I am sure once this is over Mercury will forget all about me,” I couldn’t believe what she was saying. Mercury is not going to forget about her. they are mates. And I told Aunt Selena I would help her put them back together. I have been trying to give her hints, but she is just not taking the hints,

‘Are you up for another walk. the more you walk the more you will feel better. plus we will start training, so when you shift at the full moon it will not hurt as bad.”

“How do you know of the full moon?”

“We have known about this for many many years Cheyenne, we know that the humans run home during a full moon lock their doors and pull down the windows. so they will be safe. We alway climb the trees. so we are not found. we watch as every pack ran by running and hunting before you run back home, we also hear the screams of others when they first shift. The furst shift” Cheyenne looked at me with her mouth hanging open.

‘Wow, so the elves have been around for many years. I wish I would had know." When she sat beside me. I told her what he had said. She surprised me. I thought she would have rushed out of here to go look for him. But to my surprise, she didn't. She had said she did not want to see her family, not the way she looks right now. It might worry and scare them. I sorta understood but I was still worried about her. Should I have told her more? No, because then she would try and run from here. Instead she sat in the bed and mind linked Mercury. I am not sure what she had said but I had to calm her down. Her head was hurting so I had to fix that problem then I told her about my mate. She said the mate bond is so strong that I could not resist the bond. Soon I will want to go to him. And be with him. I know she was telling the truth because I was feeling the pull of the bond. And it took everything I had not to go. I needed to be here with Cheyenne. I knew I had to treasure her. She will be fine here. She didn't have to leave.

"Listen, every year we have the warrior challenge. Every clan of elves come here and each warrior will challenge another warrior. Just to see how strong each clan is. Sometimes we go to war because they want this part of the land. We don't always win the challenges. But we do kick ass. I am one of them. I am also a protector. Maybe this year you could fight someone to get your mind off of things." I knew she was thinking about it. I also knew that her lycan and wolf had died during her beatings. For can I tell her this so she could mourn them. But I do know that another wolf and lycan is forming inside of her. So I decided to tell her. She needed to know this. I held her hands looking at her. I told her everything. The look on her face I will never forget. She broke down in tears. She had told me that Mercury had bit her to save her from a stabbing. That's how she got her wolf. The second time it was a war. That's how she got her lycan Now she has nothing of him in her. She cried for a while. I held her until she could not cry anymore.

"Cheyenne. I am so sorry. But the moo goddess has given you a gift. She has given you a new lycan and wolf. They are there within you. So you should be healing from the bruising faster now." shaking her head tears started coming from her eyes again

"But they will not be Mercury's. I won't be able to tell anymore if we are mates or not. You see I must go."

"You do not have to leave Cheyenne, Everything will be okay. I promise.She sighed as she laid her head down on my shoulder. I am not used to this kind of affection. My parents and I touch our heads together. And place out hands on their hearts. So they know I love them. This was new to me. But I did not mind it at all.

"Cheyenne. Join me and the arena where the warriors fight. You will see you will have a good time. Get your anger out. Join our clan until you are ready to be found by Mercury." I did not want to tell her she will be getting her lycan and wolf back. The same. But their names will be different. She will be confused at first. But she must get stronger. And more healthy she has adventures to do. And this adventure is with Mercury and her kids. Cheyenne lifted her head off my shoulder, looked into my eyes and softly smiled.

'I think I will. When is this warrior fighting thing?"

"in a month. This will give you time to get stronger and you must shift Cheyenne. In three days we will get you to do this. You will see everything will be fine," Cheyenne nods. Cleaned off her face smiling.

Come on. I feel we could take another walk if you like?"

"Alright, let's get going then. The more you walk. The better you will feel.
