-FIRST LOVE, THE TRIAL-
Charlie couldn’t believe that he had just been kicked out of his girlfriend’s place as if he was some form of stray dog. This made his heart chatter to a million tiny pieces. Why do people have to be this way? He was there for a good course, he wanted to meet her parents like a normal introduction but they chased him away as if he was nothing.
This is so unfair.
Many friends had warned him about dating a girl like Serah . They warned him that it is impossible to date a girl from a rich family yet he is just an ordinary campus boy with no cash.Anyway, Charlie did not want to listen. He was so in love with Serah and he didn't have the time or the strength to listen to what they had to tell him. He had never even considered breaking up with her.
Serah was his weakness since day one. This was more of love at first sight. The two of them had been crushing on each other since day one and when he got the courage to tell her all about what he was feeling for her, the feeling was mutual.
He remembers that day as if it was yesterday. How would he forget the day, the day that he met an angel in his life. He can't forget that day.
He was in an accounting class when he noticed her. She had dressed modestly and she loved seating at the front of the class.
Serah was so beautiful and just like that, he was drawn to her like a moth to a flame.
Serah on the other hand noticed him and after shying away from each other , it got to a point that they had to talk about what they felt for each other.
From when they talked about what they felt for each other, they have been inseparable. The two of the have always been together ever since. There was no Charlie without Serah and there was no Serah without Charlie.
Serah was from a rich family, he knew that, that could be a problem someday but he didn’t know that it would get to this.
This was horrible.
He expected the resentment from her family now that Charlie was not well off as compared to them but he never knew it could be this much. This is too much for him to handle.
He was kicked out of the house like a nobody. All the thoughts of what happened made him sick. After he left the place, he stood outside the door to wait for Serah to follow him out but that didn’t happen. Serah did not follow him out.
Instead, he was left all alone in the cold. He was angry at Serah’s family and also at Serah because she could not defend him and make him stay. Charlie believed that love will make you risk anything but this very night, Serah did not risk losing her family for his sake. Serah stayed behind , who knows what she was thinking about concerning what happened.
Will she leave him? He didn't know
Charlie walked out of their compound from there, he took a taxi back to his studio apartment. That night, he didn’t hear a word from Serah and this broke his heart. She could at least say sorry on behalf of her parents. What they did to him was bad and no one deserves to feel what he felt.
If he had not love her enough, then this was the day that he would leave her. But , he loved her so much, right now despite everything, all he wished for is her call.
He wanted to hear from her so badly.
**
Serah couldn’t stay in that house. She was sick of it already. She was going to leave, but not for too long because she knew what his dad was capable of. Her mother had always told her that his dad was not the person to mess with and Serah knew where she would not cross the line.
Some battles are better off surrendered.
She wanted to go and see Charlie. She knew that he could be probably be mad at her right now but she was going to fix it. She loved him and she was going to do all it takes to ensure that they are okay again even after what her mother did to him.
She also needed a friend to talk to about this big decision and that should be Charlie. Charlie was her everything and she needed him now more than ever.
Serah took her car keys and walked to the parking. She was relieved that her parents were nowhere in the vicinity. That gave her time to drive out of the compound and head to Charlie’s place. That was her home, she knew that no matter what she was feeling, how she was feeling, driving to see Charlie would make her happy. She would feel complete. He was her home.
Her heart was beating loudly in her chest, threatening to reap our her rib-cage. She was restless with each passing minute. She tried playing her favorite playlist but it was useless. Her thoughts were all over the place and she was helpless, there is nothing that she could do to save herself from his parent’s wishes. This was harder than she ever imagined. Why was she born in that selfish family?
She did not ask for all this, did she? Of course not.
She parked her car by the side of the road. Today, she did not care if they were going to steal it or not. All she cared about was her boyfriend. She had to fix things with him before it was too late. She doesn’t know of a life without him. She has to do this. It is always about Charlie, it will always be about Charlie.
Serah knocked on Charlie’s door and she prayed that he would answer her. She knew that he was mad at her but she crossed her fingers that Charlie will get the door for her.
“Who is it?” Charlie asked before opening the door fully for her.
“It is me Serah,” Serah answered with her fingers still crossed as she nervously tapped on the door handle to ease her tension. She hoped that after telling him this, he would still open the door for her.
“What do you want, haven’t your parents done enough already? Please leave my house,” Charlie told him what he felt was right even if it hurt him. He knew that the best thing to do is to stay away. It may be hard for him to do that right now, but he hoped that in the end, it would be worth the wait.
“I am here because I love you Charlie, please don’t push me away,” Serah desperately begged him.
“Does your mum know that you are here?” Charlie asked her and he patiently waited for her answer.
Serah thought about lying to him but she chose not to. This would be the wrong time to lie to the love of his life.
“No, she is not aware,” Serah squeaked.
“That is what I am talking about Serah, we can never be together. Just go away. I don’t want this kind of life where your parents despise me as if I am nothing,” Charlie said this in pain.
“Please open the door for me, if you don’t, I will stay right here, outside your door. I am not leaving your place till we talk,” Serah made it clear.
Charlie didn’t want to open the door but he had to. Serah was always persistent and not the type to give up easily. She meant everything she said. If she said that she was going to stay there till he decides to open the door, then she was definitely going to do that.
It was not safe out there. Charlie cared for her and even though he knew that this was a mistake, he opened the door.
As soon as the door was opened, Serah ran to Charlie’s arms and pulled him to a tight hug.
“I am sorry about my parents. I am really sorry. I love you so much and I will never leave you no matter what,” Serah said this and tears started streaming down her face when she remembered that she must get married to Logan, the man he hates most in this whole universe.
“Okay, stop crying now,” Charlie hated to see her in tears.
Serah needed closure, something to make her happy at this very difficult moment. That is why after the hug, she captured Charlie’s lips into a kiss.
“Baby, not now, we have to talk about what happened,” Charlie tried to pull her away but Serah was in control.
She ran her hands over his zipper and she could feel his d**k growing harder. She looked into his eyes and in a second, their eyes were locked in a contact. Serah didn’t waste any more time. She leaned in to kiss him and they ended up making love.
After that, she decided to tell him the bitter truth of what her parents had planned for her. Charlie of all people deserves to know the truth, and the truth should come from her.
“Charlie, my mum and dad want me to marry Logan Diaz, our family friend for the sake of our family business. “ She said in a low tone, unsure of how he was going to react.
