7. I WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE A LIVING HELL! “Me? That is impossible. No, it should be Polly! Come on, say the right thing. You can't mess up with such information” Serah blurted our in frustration. There had to be a mistake. Polly should be the one getting married to Logan and not her. As a matter of fact, she could not stand Logan because he pretended not to notice that Polly loves him yet everyone could see Polly’s affection for him as clear as the daylight. Why couldn’t he be a gentleman for f**k sake? Come to think of it, this was something that he should have worked on a long time ago. Rethinking about it now, maybe it was better that Logan was not getting married to Polly. He could have mistreated her emotionally considering Polly was openly in love with him. For the first time, she was proud of her mother for doing this. At least, she had, for once, looked at the needs of one of her daughters and that was Polly. She doubted if her sister could have been able to handle a heartbreak by Logan. “It should be me,” Polly jested and they all turned to look at her. Just like Serah, she knew that Naomi had said the whole thing wrong because she was angry at Logan. Mary watched her two daughters, shook her head lightly, not even half sorry for her decision. She knew her daughters well enough to know that Serah was the cleaver one and coupled with Logan, they could actually make the company thrive more than it was. As for Polly, she knew that, the girl was way too in love with Logan to pull through making the company strive. She’d probably blindly follow Logan’s decisions and probably just let all their wealth get pulled towards the Diaz’s family and that is the last thing that she wanted. “Daughters, what Naomi said is true. Serah will be married to Logan, not Polly, “Joseph made it clear to her daughters despite feeling heavy in the heart. He knew that he broke her daughter’s heart by doing this but he would never dare to go against his wife’s decisions. Sometimes it felt like he was married to the devil’s incarnation. Doing the right thing could be tough. Deep down he knew this entire thing was a big mistake. However, he hoped that someday, Polly will look back and thank him for what he did today. “Why dad, why? You all know that I’m the one in love with him but you decided to do this to me. Why? Is it because I am the ugly one?” Polly asked as she tried to fight back the ocean of tears that were on her eyes. “You know it is not like that, Polly,” Joseph tried to explain that to Polly but she didn’t listen to him. Polly ran off to her room to cry or maybe to kill herself. “It is your damn fault you selfish people. You claim that you are doing this for us but its pretty clear that this is for you. You really have no shame at all!” Serah screamed at her parents and Diaz’s family before she rushed to find her sister. Serah was angry at her parents for what they have done. She was not possibly going to accept that marriage. I mean, one part of her was happy that Polly was not going to have to suffer in a marriage that would obviously be one sided but the other part was still raging over her parent’s decisions. “Polly!” Serah called her sister as she rushed after her. “What? Are you here to laugh at me?” Polly chuckled in anger, throwing her head back lightly. “No, of course not. I’m here for you, I know how you are feeling and I am here for you. " Serah explained herself, wondering why the hell her sister would turn all this around. “Since when Serah? Since when do you actually care about me? You hate me so much. We have never lived like true sisters. Have you forgotten that you slapped me earlier on today? Have you? I know you are happy that this happened to me, stop all this acting,” Polly said after wiping the tears on her eyes away. She was tired of Serah acting like she cares yet deep down she knew that her sister hated her so much. “I don’t hate you Polly. For Christ sake you are my birth sister, you are my only sister. My ride or die,” her voice then softened, “I love you so much.” Serah told her sister the truth but she of course, she didn’t believe her. She was far down the drain of anger, to think twice about what she was saying. “If you love me, then go back to that stupid dining room and tell them that you don’t want to get married to him,” Polly dared her sister. She could not let this one chance to get the man she loved just go by. Logan was hers and he will always be hers. Serah knew nothing about loving Logan like she did. “if that is the only way to prove that I love you, then fine. Besides, never in a million years would I want to wake up to Logan’s face,” Serah agreed and she marched back to the dining room. Even thought of having to wake up to Logan’s face made bile rise in the back of her throat. Sometimes he wondered what her sister actually saw in that guy. The moment she graced the dining room, she was greeted by glances, the heated murmurs drawing to a stop. Without wasting a second, she blurted out what was in her mind,” Look, I don’t give two shits about what you think you were doing when you choose to pair me up with Logan for marriage but it’s not happening. Logan and I will never ever get married. At least not on my watch,” “Unfortunately my darling daughter, this is not your decision to make. You will do it and there is no negotiations,” Joseph, her dad was firm and she knew that there was nothing else she can do. Once her dad said that something was final then that was it. If she went against it, then he would disown her and make her life a living hell. That happened to their sister Betty and up to now, they have never ever talked about her. They don’t even know where she is at the moment. After Serah knowing that she didn’t have any choice, she ran back to her sister to justify everything that happened back in the dining room. “I believe that you have decided to go against them, right?” Polly asked her as soon as she walked to where she had been sitting. “ I tried, okay? But you know when dad takes mum’s side, then it is final. Do you remember what happened to Betty?” Serah asked her sister in a hushed tone. “f**k you! You are a selfish b***h. Leave me alone and I don’t want you to be here!” Polly told her sister through gritted teeth and Serah didn’t have any other choice but to let her be. They might talk later when she calms down. Maybe she will reason with her. Serah felt bile tasting at the back of the throat. She was angry, angry that she had to be born in such a selfish family like this. She was angry that things had to turn out this way. What the heck will she do? All this was a lot. She was just their youngest daughter. Why did she have to go through this? All this thoughts made her tears form at the slit ends of her eyes. She hated to lose control and right now she is in that position. She doesn’t know what to do. However, there is one thing that she could do and that is to face her parents. She walked briskly to the dining room and shouted for them to hear. She didn’t want to look at their faces when she sad this and that is why she looked away. “I hate you all? Why do you have to be this heartless? What did we ever do wrong as your daughters?” Serah shouted in frustration but no one said anything after she said that. On the contrary, she heard someone tapping her shoulder from behind. She was startled and that is when she turned only to be in clear view of Logan. “f**k you, I know that this is all your plan. f**k you! If you think that I’m going to love you then you are out of your mind. This marriage will be the worst decision ever. I will hurt you and make your life a living hell. You should have known better. If I were you, I would never agree to this,” Serah made it so clear to Logan.
