After much deliberation, I chose to contact the number listed on the card, only to discover that it was her office line. After some time, I was successful in convincing her assistant, Stacey, to provide me with her mobile phone number.
I was powerless to change the fact that it was beyond my reach, and I feel terrible about that. I spent the entirety of my time at work daydreaming about the possibility that she was the one I was meant to be with.
When Stacey answered the call, I asked her for the address for Macy's, and she gave it to me. I picked up the phone and dialled her office number.
As I approached the blue duplex and knocked on the door, I let out a heavy sigh. When I turned around at that point, I noticed Macy standing there in her pyjamas, peering up at me with a horrified look on her face.
That is, "Why are you even here?" is the question. The tone of her voice made it sound like she was whispering, but I'm pretty sure she was intending for it to sound more like yelling.
asking, "May I please come in?" When I responded, I made an effort to lower the volume of my voice. She did this so that she could let me in by pushing the door open further.
The tastefully decorated interior had several seating options, including a loveseat, sofas, and armchairs. The walls were painted a light peach colour, and artwork covered every inch of the wall space that was available.
After offering me what I thought to be orange juice, Macy handed me the glass and said, "Here." After being handed the beverage, I took a seat.
It's a very wonderful part of town. I remarked on something as I took another sip of the beverage.
"Thank you, and could you perhaps elaborate on the reason for your presence here?" Her inquiry was followed by an extended period of silence, after which she asked, "Wait, how did you even find out where I live?"
I contacted your office because you weren't picking up your phone, and they instructed me to come here because you weren't answering it.
a discussion including "I need to have with..." She eventually gave up after trying to carry on, but not before holding her head in her hands.
How are you doing right now? I went up to the location where she was waiting and questioned her about it.
"Yeah, I'm just..." Instantaneously, she was cradled in my arms.
"Macy! Macy, you must be kidding me! I panicked and screamed as I carried her hastily to my vehicle and then hurriedly took her to the nearest hospital emergency room.
When I arrived, they had already placed Meredith on a stretcher and were hurriedly taking her into the medical facility. It shouldn't come as a surprise that her face was as pale as it was because I had a lot going through my mind.
My time in the waiting area, which totaled fifteen minutes, seemed to drag on for an age. I wasted no time in getting to the location where the doctor had just emerged.
A: "How is her health?" Is she okay? Can she survive without receiving blood transfusions? I quickly inquired about it.
Relax, he whispered, "She is not hurt." Someone became sick as a result of ingesting the incorrect item. She possessed the appearance of having been sick all day long and possessed a sleepy demeanour.
"However, it seems as though she is doing well at this time, correct?"
She is, although her strength is beginning to wane at this time. However, once you've taken care of the expenses, you'll be able to bring her home with you.
As soon as she was escorted inside the room, I paid all of the bills and went to join her there. She was awake, yet she continued to remain in the position of lying in bed.
"Kyle..." She mumbled something as she stood up in bed, which prompted me to hurry over to her side of the room.
How are you doing right now?
She gave the tiniest of smiles and then responded, "No, I'm OK." You don't have to act like you're so terrified, so please explain why.
"You came this close to passing away, and you want to know why I'm worried?" I laughed it off.
She claimed that the food poisoning was not the reason why she was in such a critical condition and so near death.
"Whatever. I believe it would be best for me to drive you home. I was willing to help.
"You don't have to," she reassured me with a grin, "it's perfectly alright."
There is no requirement for me to do so. I told her, "I want to," and she stood up.
"Bed rest is what the doctor has ordered for you." She giggled in response to my yelling at her.
"Well, it looks like I'll have to go for a stroll, so..."
Who made you feel like you had to? After that, I took her up and carried her about in my arms for a while.
In utter disbelief, the words "What are you doing?" emerged from her mouth.
"Of course, I'm going to put my arms around you," the speaker said. "I can't wait." I gave myself a sly grin.
When I finally got to her house, I realised that I had forgotten to lock the front door before I left.
"Jesus! As she began to gather her composure, she yelled out, "You left the door of my house open?!
I apologise for worrying about you, taking you to the emergency room, and then leaving the house without locking the front door on the way out. Please forgive me. The muscles in my eyeballs rolled.
She voiced her concern in an ominous manner, saying, "What if there's a robber waiting for me to be alone so that he can rob me or worse?"
"Is that the way in which you want me to understand that you want me to remain?" My mouth twisted into a cheeky grin as my eyebrows rose.
Her face flushed, and she shrieked, "What, no! Alright, so please allow me to complete what I was saying.
Relax and take things easy for a while. I will retrieve for you any food that I am able to find in your refrigerator. When I told her, she was sitting on the couch, and she erupted into laughter.
As I open the refrigerator door, I am greeted by a wide selection of tasty treats and drinks, such as ice cream, orange juice, and soda. Because there is nothing that could be construed as healthy in this environment, it is not surprising that she grew unwell.
I reach over and grab a glass from the table, then pour some orange juice into it. I gave it to her and also gave her some crackers that I had found, but she just kept making strange expressions the entire time I was talking to her.
Why didn't you bring me some ice cream if you intended to cheer me up and make me happy? "I guess you became sick since you don't consume nutritious meals," She moaned about it. There is not a single fresh salad or fruit in the selection. Once I told her that, she had an odd look on her face.
"Whatever."
Do you believe that you are the only person who lives in this house? I queried about it out of curiosity.
She shook her head and responded, "No, I live with my sister," when I inquired as to whether or not she lived by herself.
"Could you please tell me where she is at this moment?" I pondered
"In the place of business." Her voice had a tone of boredom at that point.
"Where is the remote? We ought to watch a movie right now." I did some looking around before asking the inquiry.
"It is becoming late; don't you think you should be leaving?"
"Nope. I will not leave you alone till your sister arrives; I will stay with you until then. "What difference does it make if you pass out once more?" The remote control for the television has eluded me.
"There." She pointed to the counter with her gesture.
As an illustration: "Well, what would you like to watch?"
"Coco!!"
Putting the cocoa on it, I produced a robotic voice that resulted in her having a hearty belly laugh.
After having waited for close to an hour, the door finally opened, and a person who was already known to me walked in.
"Hi Le-" As soon as her eyes fell on me, there was a mixture of shock and rage in her expression, and she immediately stopped speaking.
"What's up, sis?" Macy gives an affirmative nod of the head and continues.
"Who exactly is he?!
"I'd like to introduce myself; my name is Ky."
Don't you see that it's obvious that I'm not talking to you in particular at this moment? After casting a malicious glare in my direction, she turned her focus to Macy.
"Soph, you need to calm down."
"Quit it!" It was their sister who got angry with me and yelled at me.
Wow, that's a lot of power packed into that.
