BREAKING THE BARRIER I

Marcus tried running for help but was pulled back, “Stay right there or I will break your neck,” Clarris yelled out.

“What do you want? Get out of my head.”

“I want your eyes Marcus and the hate you have for that Nemo,” She hissed.

Marcus swallowed hard “I do not know what you are talking about?”

“I see it in your eyes Marcus, you hate that thing sucking the life out of your father. What guarantee do you have that it will not kill you all after it is done with your father?”

Marcus laughed, “From the stories I have heard I thought you were the smartest woman on earth but I'm disappointed. Whether the Nemo is alive or not, we are all still doomed.”

Clarris was quiet, she wasn't expecting Marcus to be this smart.

“Nevertheless, your life for the Nemo's, I want to see it with your eyes. Go in the dungeon now,” she ordered.

“You are really stupid, the Nemo will sense you,” Marcus reminded her.

“It won't, as long as you keep your mouth shut, tell anyone and I will squeeze the life out of you,” Clarris stated while physically squeezing on the squirrel but spiritually strangling Marcus. Marcus gasped for air as she kept squeezing the life out of him.

"O..Kay, o..Kay,.,....” Marcus forced the words out.

“I did not hear you clearly?” Clarris replied.

“I…..will….go into the dungeon,” Marcus replied with difficulty.

“Good boy, if you follow my instructions you will be greatly rewarded.” she added

Marcus pulled himself together and walked back to the dungeon. As soon as he entered his family stared at him. “You look like you went to masturbate,” Lotus teased, which forced his mother to render hard slaps at the back of his head. 

“Mother! Ouchi! Look at his eyes?? They are all red!" Lotus noted.

“ Mother you should have hit him harder," Nephius emphasized

“Where did you go son?" Rachel asked Marcus.

“Just stepped out for some air?"

In the Dark tower, Clarris was finally able to lay her eyes on the Nemo. She was struck numb. Not only was it big for a two day old but it was beautiful. It looked like a Pixiu, ‘half lion half dragon’ but it was too white and had emeralds on its forehead. Not even ancient Nemo's had such. But there was no time to figure out what it was. She needed to act fast before the Nemo sensed her presence. 

She began chanting “Monsa! Monsa! Monsa! What I once took, I restore back. Monsa! Monsa! Monsa! What I once took I restore back” she restored back Marcus's birthright mutant Powers ‘Water Whilrder’. Just like Rachel, Marcus was a water whilrder and could bend water, the exact entity which the books stated was the Nemo's weakness. All she needed was to make the Nemo weak enough for the barrier to collapse. 

King Jerald and the others were too busy feeding the Nemo that they did not realize what was happening to Marcus.

He began feeling nauseous and all of a sudden water began coming out of his mouth. He tried holding it back but like an avalanche river, water came out flooding the entire Dungeon.

By the time his family realized it they were submerged in water. Marcus kept flooding the room and had no idea how to stop.

Rachel and Nephius quickly rushed for King Jerald and helped him swim up to the stairs leading out of the dungeon. Daniel and Lotus also managed to swim up followed by Miguel. But Barrick remained under and grabbed onto the Nemo that was gasping for air. From its body movement, Barrick could tell that it couldn't swim and that the water was burning it. It let out an ultraSonic sound that swept through the entire Seven kingdoms forcing everyone to shield their ears. It became pale and closed its eyes which sent Barrick panicking. Unknown to everyone the Barrier outside collapsed.

He kept trying to pull it up but the nemo was too heavy for him. He kept trying and trying but to no avail. His other brothers except for Marcus dived back in after noticing that he did not swim up. Rachel and king Jerald held each other in fear. Rachel looked up and noticed that the water was coming from Marcus. “Marcus stop! You are Killing your brothers!” she shouted out.

Deep under the flooded dungeon, the brothers spotted Barrick pulling on the Nemo, they swam and joined him in pulling it too but it was too heavy for them all. They tried again but still nothing. Barrick could no longer hold his breath. Slowly his hands let go and life began living him. Nephius noticed and signalled the other brothers to leave the Nemo. He grabbed on Barrick and swam up.

Rachel helped them up. Lotus, Daniel and Miguel also emerged. “Where is Omen?” King Jerald asked in a frantic voice.

“He was too heavy for us Father, we are so sorry,” a heavily breathing Daniel replied.

 King Jerald dropped tears, he looked at his wound and it had disappeared. He could feel that he was no longer weak. His energy had returned and that could only mean that the Nemo was gone….. His only last hope to save his sons gone...

They all sat on the dungeon stairs and tried to recover and process what had just happened. Barrick regained consciousness and cried. His mother could only hold him. “Where did all this water come from?” Lotus asked.

“I'm sorry guys, I didn't mean to…” Marcus said in a weak voice. He was so tired, he had used all his energy in flooding the entire dungeon.

They all looked at him in shock “What the heck??? How. .. when did you have powers?” Miguel asked

“No no that's not the right question,” Lotus cut in “Are you stupid??? Why do you want to kill us?”
