Elena’s POV
Mom is determined to upset me, by demanding that I go help her bake our famous cookies here, but she was right. Getting to spend time with the staff in the kitchen was actually really nice. They were so helpful and kind. They already liked Mom, and it only took about ten minutes until they were laughing and teasing me too. Apparently, they had been told a few incorrect things about me. I was truly puzzled when they told me, “I thought you were replacing all of us in the kitchen.”
