Ember (POV) Once Sam was in my room and the door was closed, Xavier shifted me, so he could get a better look at my face. He stared into my eyes for what felt like forever, but was in reality just a few moments. I felt self-conscious, no one had ever looked at me like that before. I could not take it any longer, so I lowered my head and stared at my hands. Xavier put his finger under my chin and used it to raise my head back up to look at him. "No baby." he said, now looking back into my eyes. "Not with me. You don't ever have to feel shy or nervous with me. I love you." he said as he leaned his head down and kissed me. My heart started to race and my palms got sweaty. The feel of his warm lips on mine made my body start to tingle. I threw my arms around his neck and kissed him deeper
