Diarmuid gaze shifted from Mia and he carefully observed the movement of fog like being. It looked calm and moved gracefully through the field… definitely searching for something or someone… Diarmuid took his eyes back to Mia who had her eyes fixed on the being.
"Umm... what's that?" she gasped taking a few steps backwards as she got a clearer view. It looked like those things that had attacked her in the forest but this time it was much bigger. Did it come searching for her she thought.
"Luna" Diarmuid called completely ignoring her question and the nature spirit emerged from the forest and made her way towards them.
"Young lord, you called" Diarmuid stared at her and then pointed at Mia and it was damn clear what he meant... get this annoying person from my sight.
Luna walked up to Mia and took hold of her hand "You would want to close your eyes please" she stated and Mia did without any hesitation. She felt herself sink into the ground but she made no attempt to open her eyes, her body felt so cool at this moment and soon Mia could smell something familiar.
She was in the inn.
"Oh my God, how do you do that" she stated opening her eyes feeling both terrified and intrigued
"I'm a nature spirit" she announced proudly but honestly that didn't clear up anything at all
"Mia" she sounded more serious now, her eyes completely fixed on the human which made Mia a big nervous. "Why are dark assassins after you?" Luna asked and Mia stared completely dumbfounded. She furrowed her brows trying to understand what Luna meant.
"Dark what now?" … what was she talking about? She thought really confused.
"Dark assassin... that creature you saw just now is a dark assassin” she noted moving closer to Mia
"Come to think of it the Dark assassins have no limitation they can easily pull a human into our world to accomplish their mission but they don't just pick on any random person, you..."
"Wait a minute" Mia had to stop her there cause all she was saying didn't make sense to her at all.
"Mia, is there something you aren't telling me... Don't worry you can trust me" Luna pressed on moving closer to Mia.
"What the hell... look Luna until a while ago I never knew anything about this damn place, so why on earth would that thing be after me for all I know it probably after your master"
"Impossible, they won't dare that and plus if they were actually after young lord they would have sent a stronger one"
The inn door suddenly flew open and Diarmuid stumped in looking very furious "Are you some kind of fugitive?" his cold voice sent shiver down Mia's spine, he pulled her by her hand and flung her to a couch.
"I have no idea what you're talking about" Mia stuttered trying to get up from the couch but some force was preventing her from moving.
"No one has ever been able to break through my barrier no matter how powerful they are but some how a dark assassin did, I noticed my barrier weakened the moment Danna pulled you in here" he leaned towards her staring deadly at her "Who the hell are you?" the tiny lights around him slowly dispersed and Mia began to feel a strange aura emanating from him.
"Look, I honestly have no idea what you're talking about" his presence was beginning to terrify Mia and she had no idea what to do
"Keep playing dumb and I'll throw you out" he sounded really serious and honestly she didn't want that at all.
"Look I really have no idea... I just got on a plane happy that I’d finally gotten my dream job and then I suddenly ended up here... I swear I have no idea what’s going on" she was at the point of breaking down right now, Diarmuid moved away from her and walked towards Luna, he whispered something to her and Mia couldn't hear a thing. She immediately left the inn afterwards leaving the red head alone with Diarmuid, she felt really scared at this point.
"You really have no idea what going on?" he asked walking up to her.
"I swear I don't"
"You better not be lying" he sighed and turned to the inn door "We'll just have to wait till the morning" he added before stepping out of the inn. Mia stood up from the couch finally able to move and rushed to the door... there was no way she was going to continue staying here, she had to find a way back...Danna would be here tomorrow hopefully with a way out so right now all she needed to do was to wait patiently. Just thinking of spending another moment here was really terrifying but she didn't have much of a choice.
“Young master, No traces were left behind by the dark assassin” Luna noted as she emerged in Diarmuid's study, she took a brief pause observing him and tried to choose her words properly. “… It’s not in my place but I really think she doesn’t know what’s going on” Diarmuid was still feeling very much uneasy and just like always went through a book to try to calm himself and think properly, this human was getting his emotions all over the place and he clearly didn't like that. “I know how much you hate being pulled into stuff like this but she’s just a human and she’s under your custody” Luna added waiting for a reply but Diarmuid was quiet and just flipped the pages of his books. He was really trying to understand why dark assassins would be after a mare human but even as he thought of this, he couldn’t help but feel that there was something different about Mia, something he couldn’t quite place. It would be much safer to watch her quietly for now… well until they had a proper understanding of the situation. He took in a deep breath and shut his eyes trying to relax himself. “I guess I’ll figure what to do with her once Danna arrives” he finally spoke shutting the book in his hand and staring out the window.
