Alana sat on the ground in her cave as she packed her life into boxes. She knew it wasn't all coming with her. She knew when she left it would be with the bare minimum and her life. She wished it didn't have to be like that, but she knew her father had decided her life for her and it was time for her to take and decide for herself. Her sister Faith had sent notice to Avaly like she had promised. Alana knew they were always being watched. What no one knew, not even her sister, was there was an emergency exit into the sea side town in her cave. She had used it several times before to escape detection. When the time came she would sneak into the town and leave, but this time, this time would be for good. Alana knew as long as her father was alive she would never be able to return to Ithica. She would never be safe from him. He wasn't a man who didn't get his way. He was most definitely not a forgiving man. She was deep in her thoughts when she heard something near the entracne of her cave. She got up slowly making her way to it. Her mouth dropped open in shock and disgust. There before her was the warrior her father promised her to. She wasn't even sure why he was there defiling her space. He had a smirk on his lips and it made bile rise to the surface. She closed her eyes trying to hide her emotions. She wanted nothing more than for him to leave. She cleared her throat trying not to give bhim the satisfaction of fear. She did not fear him, she loathed him. "Gandon, do what do I owe this visit? My father said i had a week. It has only been a mere two days." She studied him as he touched things in the cave. His face was distorted as he curiously studied her tiems as if they were beneath him. He made her cringe at the thought of having to be with him. He brushed off his hands wiping them like her itens soiled him in some way. "I have come to make sure you were being a good girl my dearest Alana. I like to make sure to keep what is mine in its place." She crossed her arms over her chest trying to keep her face emotionless. Any display from her would only give him power and she knew this. He moved closer to her as if daring her to challenge him. there was a commotion behind him in the pool that led to her cave. She was relieved when she saw Avaly and Vlad enter. She knew they very well may have saved her in that moment. "I am not property Gandon. Further more, I am not even yet mated to you. So if you would kindly leave my home so that I may finish what my father told me to do, I woud very much appreciate it." She could feel the heat from his anger rising and oozing out of his pores and spilling in the air around her. It was thick and suffocating and he was losing what little self control he had. Alana knew if she were to mate him he would never let her forget he owned her. She would be nothing more than a breeder to him and he would do whatever he wanted with her. She stared intently into Gandons eyes as he glared deep into hers as though he wanted to snatch her soul and spit in her face. He was like her father. He liked getting his way. Avaly and Vlad stepped up behind him and his mood quickly changed when he realized they were no longer alone in the cave. It was Vlad who spoke first, his voice sounding out a bit louder than he originally intended. His words commanding respect and power flowing from him making Gandon submissive. It was something Alana had never seen him do for anyone other than her father. "I think the Princess said for you to leave. I am not sure if you need help finding the exit but I would be happy to escort you if you need directions." Gandon grew angrier than quickly turned on his heels. He could feel that Vlad was higher ranked than him in Ithica. He commanded respect with out forcing it. He ruled differently in the shifter world and Alana knew that he would never have the same power as Vlad. She was relieved as she watched him start to walk away. He turned for a breif moment talking over his shoulder at Alana. " I shall own you in a few days anyways, Princess." then he disappeared into the waters leading out of the cave. Alana let out the breath she held in his presence trying to keep herself calm. Avaly rushed to her side as Vlad took watch making sure he was gone. Alana reached out grabbing Avaly into her arms letting out her tears. Avaly pulled back wiping her tears away. "Come on we leave tonight. We have someone in the town waiting to take you to the gates. Vlad will stay here and I will escort you through to Earth. I will head to Liam and Scarlett and you will go elsewhere. We are hoping it will throw them off enough to get you to your destination. Lets go." They grabbed Alanas bag and made their way to the emergency exit. "Having these charm necklaces definietly came in handy just now. I would hate to know what that bastard had planned before we came. He looked ready to explode. Trust no one who calls you anything but Emmery. It is your new name until you are met with the warriors to take you to your new home. You will learn of your new identity when you reach there." They both stopped before opening the door that led to the town. Avaly turned to her and grabbed her into a hug. "you need to change the color of your hair as soon as possible. Youre red locks are a little bit of a gove away my friend. Lets go now. We don't have much time. I feel like that jerk will be back soon." Then they both covered their heads with their cloaks and made their way into the town. They mad etheir way through the hustle and bustle of the Ocean cave dwellers. The market place was alive and people were negotiating as both women pushed their way through the crowd. Alana and Avaly kept their heads down as vendors called to them to buy their goods. they both stopped at the end of the market standing and waiting for their escort to the gates. They both knew time was not on their side. Alana was in danger here the longer they stayed. She felt like an animal trying to avoid a hunter. Essentially that was what she was. A hunted animal on borrowed time. Gandon and her father were the hunters and she was their prey. Avaly grabbed her hand suddenly. Startled, Alana followed her gaze. There in the other end of the market was one of her fathers warriors. "What do we do?" Alana was growing nervous as he slowly made her way throughthe market strolling leisurely through. "Stay calm and do not make eye contact. Just follow my lead. If you panic we will be caught. Just breathe deeply and follow my lead." They turned their backs from the warrior keeping their heads down making no eye contact. A man approached them calmly. He was next to them and his voice startled them as he spoke. "Emmery, please follow me." Alana was filled with relief. She was closer to her escape. Her heart was threatening to pound out of her chest. It felt like she couldn't swallow as the lump grew bigger with each passing moment. The women briskly followed him out of the market place and out of town into the forests surrounding it. He spoke no more words as they rushed to a clearing and he swiftly trasnformed into a beautiful dragon. He was a fire dragon. his scales black like coals and shifted into charqoal with intricate red fire designs. He was a magnificent beast. "Wow, you are amazing." She let it slip out before she realized she was saying it out loud. He bowed his head as though to thank her. Avaly pulled her climbing on his back and Alana snapped out of her thoughts and followed her as they started lifting from the ground. She could feel the wind blowing through her hair as her cloak fell revealing her fire red locks. She was holding on as they made their way through Ithica towards the gates that would lead her to Earth. She was being lef to her freedom and her safety. She was grateful to be free of the prison she found herself in. She felt an ache in her chest the further away from her life she got. Leaving her sister and all her friends was hurting but she knew she had no choice. It was the only way she would be free. After about an hour they were touching down on the ground. Both women covered their heads once more as they slid off the magnificent fire dragon. They waited s he shifted back to his human form and quickly covered himself with clothes. "The guards are changing now so if we are to go we must leave right this instant. There is no time to waste. Go!" He pushed them towards the gates as he shifted to his dragon once more perching himself ontop of the look out. She realized then he was the guard that was supposed to be watching the gates. She waved as the women grabbed each others hands and stepped through making their way to Earth. This was her last hope and time was ticking. She was now creating a differrent destiny for herself. One of her chosing, not her fathers.
