Lucie Pov     I woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside the balcony. It only took me a second to flip out, feeling the weight of a hand draped over my hip. I didn’t even need to open my eyes to know it was him. I always knew when he touched me. Even still…the sunlight. I opened my eyes, looking around in surprise. It wasn’t dark in the room, I had a window to the side of the room that was open, but the light wasn’t coming in on this side of the room. But, the balcony. We left that open last night, right? The curtains opened, the glass opened, just the screen shut. But no, it was closed, all of it closed up tightly and the curtains were drawn. I knew all the rooms had darkened curtains for Grayson to walk throughout the packhouse with ease, but I don’t remember closing mine. Maybe J
