Decree 18

Nandito ako ngayon sa harap ng convenient store kung saan ako kumakain ng almusal. Instant ramen ang kinakain ko rito at nasanay na ako na ganito lagi ang kinakain ko na walang kanin. Habang kumakain ako, binuksan ni ateng cashier ang tv ng convenient store at nilagay niya ito sa balita. Tumalon ang puso ko ng makita ko si Philip. Nasabi sa balita ang pagdalo ni Philip sa festival of lights kagabi kung saan sinindi niya ang isang malaking lantern na may logo ng royal banner ng Luxembourg. Nando'n rin sa festival of lights sina Princess Victoria at Count Alexander. Inimbitahan ako ni Philip sa festival na 'yan kaso hindi ako pumunta kasi busy ako at hindi na ko pinayagan ni Leia na makapag-leave pa sa trabaho.

Kahit nasa TV si Philip, ang gwapo niya pa rin. Minsan, naiisip ko na napakaswerte kong nilalang na umibig ng isang may dugong bughaw. At hindi ko inasaha na ang taong 'yon ang bubukas sa sarado kong puso. Hands-on at seryoso si Philip sa pagganap niya ng tungkulin bilang Grand Duke. Nagbigay siya ng message kaso hindi ko naintindihan. At doon na natapos ang balita tungkol sa kanya.

Pinagpatuloy ko na ang pagkain sa ramen ko at uminom ng tubig at dumiretso kaagad para magcommute. Buti na lang at wala akong trabaho ngayon dahil may napili ng play ang teatro. Matagal pa ang meet-up namin ni Christina dahil lunch pa ang break niya kaya dumiretso muna akong park. Mabilis naman ang biyahe dahil sa sinakyan kong cub. After ng ilang minuto, nakarating ako kaagad sa park.

Tahimik at napakatiwasay ng paligid. May mga lumilipad na mga paro-paro at humuhuni ang mga ibon. May mga nagja-jogging sa paligid at ang iba naman ay naglalatag ng kanya-kanyang mga set-up para sa morning snacks. Dahil kakakain ko lang, sinubukan kong imessage si Philip.

Napataas ako ng kilay kung ano yung sinend niya sakin. Dinownload ko 'to at binuksan ko ang picture. OMG. Isang malaking nota niya ang sinend sakin na may extra pang love juice! SHOCKINGS! Di ko na kaya. Nanlalambot na ang tuhod ko. Tumingin ako sa paligid ko at business as usual pa rin sila. Kaya pala nilagay niya sa signature niya na delicious guy you drool of tapos ganito isesend.

Totoo naman na umiinit na ng bahagya dito sa park kaya hindi na siya conducive sa pagbabasa kaya lumipat ako sa coffee shop na meeting place namin ni Christina. After ng ilang minuto, may nagmessage sakin. Nang binuksan ko ang notification, si Christina pala. Mapapaaga raw siya ng dating dahil natapos naman na ang meeting nila with the executives. Sinabi ko sa kanya ang location ng coffee shop at good naman siya r'on. Umorder ako ng kape at tinignan ko ang paligid. Maganda ang coffee shop na napasukan ko. Vintage ang tema ng coffee shop. Mula sa style ng design ng ceiling, sa table, sa upuan na ginagamit ko at sa shop na rin mismo. Buti na lang at may free internet ang coffee shop. After ng ilang minuto, dumating na si Christina. Hindi siya nagpapakabog dahil may pa-shades pa siyang nalalaman. Pumasok siya ng nakangiti at patakbong lumapit sakin.

"Oh, my gee. Derrick! I have something to tell youuu!" excited niyang sabi sakin sabay tanggal ng shades at upo sa harapang upuan.

"What's that? Spill it!" sabi ko naman.

"Wait, I need to order food. Uhm, did you already eat?" tanong niya. Akala ko sasabihin na niya. Pabitin naman.

"Not yet. Just this coffee," sabi ko sa kanya.

"Okay. Let's order."

Umorder na kami ng pagkain. Habang hinihintay na ma-serve yung pagkain, nagkwento ulit si Christina.

"Uhm, you know what Derrick. I'm still miss the old theatre. The time when it's still private. I'm not a playwright like what we do right now – I'm sure you also experienced that – when we were struggling how to create props, the backdrops," napangiti siya sa moment na 'yun sa mga inaaalala niya. Tinuloy niya ulit ang kwento.

"We also experienced the posting of the teasers and giving flyers to the people for promotion. All of what we did back then... It was difficult but we built memories that we never forget,"

"I experienced that too. The making of props and the posting of the teasers in the city... before my boyfriend's father changed everything," sabi ko sa kanya. Napangiti naman siya.

"So, you're proud of your boyfriend then?" ngiting sabi ni Christina.

"Yeah, I am," proud kong sagot sa kanya.

Dumating na ang order naming pagkain ni Christina. Kumain na kami. Pasta ang kinain ko. Tart naman sa kanya at may order rin siyang frappe. Kumain kami hanggang sa naubos na namin ang pagkain. After nito, ako naman ang nagkwento kay Christina.

"Why were you so happy earlier?" tanong ko kay Christina. Bigla siya ulit sumaya na naging makulit na parang kinikilig na teenager.

"Oh my God! I have a boyfriend!"

"Congrats!"

"So, who's that lucky guy?"

Hinalungkat niya pa sa bag niya ang cellphone niya. Binuksan niya ang phone at malamang ay hinalungkat niya pa ang picture ng boylet niya sa gallery niya.

"Here he is!" parang batang sabi niya sabay bigay sakin ng phone niya.

Tinignan ko ang picture ng boylet niya at omg. Ito ang isa sa mga bodyguard ni Philip. Siya yung lalaking nag-escort sakin papunta sa guest room ng palasyo where Philip and I celebrated our 3rd monthsary. Ngayon ko lang napansin na redheaded ang boylet niya. Gwapo rin at bearded din.

"He's handsome and you will be a great couple," sabi ko sa kanya.

"Yeah. And guess what? He is a grand duke's royal guard! Like he's always close with your Philip!" and that confirms it.

"How did you meet?" kunwaring tanong ko pero shookt pa rin ako na boyfriend niya ang isang bodyguard ni Philip.

"Well, we start our escapade at a dating app. I thought he's a bot because he looks very handsome and a famous actor to me but well, it turns he's not," sabay kilig si Christina.

"Then?" tanong ko ulit.

"So, we decided to meet in this coffee shop and omg! He looks very hot and he's very handsome! Then, we started dating like a week. After that, he asked for my permission to level up our relationship and tada! I have a boyfriend!" parang teenager kung magkwento

"What is his name, then?" tanong ko. Magkukwento na nga lang, hindi pa sinabi pangalan ng boylet niya.

"Oh, his name is Guillaume! And I got a text from him. He's asking me for a date! Bye! See you!" kumaripas na ng takbo si Christina.

Masaya na ko para kay Christina at masaya rin ako sa kalagayan ng lovelife ko ngayon. Hindi ko nga inakala na magkakaboyfriend ako eh. Malay ko bang hindi pala ako straight? Dahil tinatamad akong maglakad, nagcommute na lang ako pabalik ng inuupahan ko. Maayos pa rin naman ang pakikitungo ko kina Marina at alam kong masaya sila sa koronasyon ni Philip bilang Grand Duke nila.

Nang makapasok na ko ng kwarto ko, humiga ko saglit at nagpahinga. Tumayo ako at sinimulan ko nang i-reorganize ang kwarto ko kaso biglang tumunog ang phone ko. Sino naman ang magmemessage sakin? Tinignan ko ang sender at si Philip ang nagmessage sakin! Shockings! Dali-dali kong binuksan ang email ko.

Binuksan ko ang video at do'n ko siya nakita. Naka-tux siya at may gitarang hawak habang nakaupo. Nagsimula siyang magsalita.
