Chapter Three-They are only guys not Gods!

1229 Words
Violet I decided it was probably time for me to leave the bedroom. I don’t know what is wrong with me today. I am acting crazy. They are only guys, not Gods. I think what made it worse was when they decided to inform me they like to share women. What is that? Who tells someone they just met that? I need to have a word with my best friend later and lecture her for not preparing me for when I came here. I take a deep breath and leave the bedroom. I stop in the hallway, feeling a little nervous. I need to get a grip of myself. I slowly walk towards the living room, and the two guys are sitting on the sofa with a beer. “Um, hi,” I whisper. All eyes were soon on me, “Hello again. Would you like a beer?” Arlo asks. I nod, “Sure.” Parker pats the spot on the sofa between them, “Come sit, and I will grab you one.” I stand and consider where to sit. I glance between the sofa and the chair; them watching me. I make my choice and sit between them. I need to get used to having them around. Arlo smirks at me, “Good choice.” I smile awkwardly at him and focus in front of me. I don’t want to look at either of them, or I will get lost in those pretty eyes. Parker stands from the sofa and disappears to the kitchen to get my beer. “It is nice for you to finally come and join us. I promise we are harmless.” Arlo laughs. I slowly turn to face him, “I am sorry for being weird. I am not usually like that.” Don’t get lost in his eyes! “No, it is okay. We should have been better behaved.” He smiles. I raise my brow at him, “Something tells me you or Parker don’t know how to behave.” I get that feeling from them. Arlo falls silent for a second, “Yeah, you are right.” I laugh and shake my head. I knew it. I honestly hope Tyson isn’t as handsome and mischievous as the other guys. I can barely handle being around two of them, never mind three. I don’t know how Alison can put up with them, but I guess they probably act differently towards her since they know they don’t have a chance since she doesn’t like men. “I thought so.” A smug look covers his face, and he takes a drink of his beer. I swallow hard and cross my legs because I don’t like the feeling growing between them by just looking at him. Parker came back through with three beers in his hand. He hands one to Arlo, sits another on the table and turns to me. “Here you are, beautiful.” He is smirking the entire time. I blush and thank him with a smile, taking it from him. He takes the seat on the other side of me. I became even more nervous. I take a long swig of my beer. I don’t know what to say and sit in silence. “So, how long do you plan to stay with us?” Parker asks. “Um, hopefully not too long. I just need to sort some things out. I hope you all don’t mind me being here?” I sigh and glance between them. “No, not at all. Stay as long as you need, sweetness. There is plenty of room if you get tired of sleeping in the room with Alison.” Arlo chuckles. “Yes, plenty of room for sure. We all have double beds in our rooms.” Parker adds in. No! Why are they doing this to me? “I am sure I will be fine in Alison’s room, thank you,” I whisper. They laugh, take a drink of their beer and focus back on me. I can feel their eyes burn into me. I can’t wait until Alison comes home. “Are you always so nervous?” Parker asks. “No, not really,” I answer honestly. Then again, it was my first time in a situation like this: two gorgeous men putting all their attention on me. I am not used to it because I have never really been one to grab anyone’s attention, and I was with my ex for a while, so I didn’t concentrate on other men, only him. “So, we make you nervous? I don’t understand why. I am sure you get plenty of attention.” Arlo smiles. I shake my head, “No, not really.” “I don’t believe you,” Parker says. “It is the truth. Plus, I was with the same guy for over four years, so I didn’t pay attention to what was happening around me.” I shrug. “Yeah, Alison mentioned what happened. I am sorry he did what he did to you.” Arlo says, seeming genuine in what he is saying. “It is okay. I will move on from it eventually.” It may take a while because I loved him like crazy and still do since it has only been a couple of days. I still don’t understand what happened, to be honest. We were good together until he decided to leave for a damn teenager! What is up with that? “The man is clearly an idiot.” Parker pipes in firmly. I nod, “Yes, he was.” Arlo rests his hand on my knee, “You deserve better than someone like him, Violet.” “Thank you. Though, I think I will stay single now for some time because I refuse to put myself through something like that again.” “Yeah, being single is always better. You can do as you please when you please, and it can be a lot of fun.” Parker smirks. Oh, I can imagine how the two of them enjoy the single life. I wouldn’t be surprised if they have a new girl nearly every night. “And if you get lonely, you know where to find us.” Arlo’s voice is low, and he nudges me playfully. I snicker and shake my head, “Not happening.” “Sure thing, kitten.” I can hear in Parker’s voice he doesn’t believe me. It is true because I would not get involved with either of them because it could become complicated. I roll my eyes and take another drink of my beer. “I promise you will have a lot of fun staying here with Alison and us guys. I don’t mean it sexually before you think it is what I mean.” Arlo laughs. “I am sure I will.” I smile. Alison has always been fun to be around. She is confident and wild but works damn hard for everything she has. As for the guys, I don’t doubt there will be many dull moments with them around. I seem to ease around the guys, and the three of us end up chatting and laughing. Hopefully, my moments of craziness are done with unless Tyson ends up having the same effect on me as Parker and Arlo.
