Chapter Four-What is the need?

1445 Words
Violet I spent a few hours with the guys, but now I needed a breather. They are so damn sexy, confident, charming and funny. I couldn’t handle any more, so I used the excuse of needing to shower to leave. I am a little nervous about showering with the guys just down the hall, but there is a lock on the bathroom door, it will be fine. I will make it a quick one. I find the biggest towels I have to take to ensure I am well covered from my journey from the bathroom to the bedroom. I don’t need to accidentally flash someone. It would just be my luck. I rush to the bathroom and lock the door behind me. I switch the shower on and strip down, stepping into it. I rest against the wall, allow the warm water to run over me, and relax my tense body. I close my eyes and enjoy the moment to myself. I never thought my first day here would turn out how it did. I still don’t know how I feel about it all, and I have no idea what to expect with Tyson because Arlo and Parker refused to tell me anything about him. I don’t know what to do if he is like the other two. After I feel more relaxed, I get around to washing myself and my hair and step out. I wrap a towel tightly around my body, ensuring it is secure before leaving the bathroom. I step out into the hallway and head back to my room, but I don’t reach the door before I hear footsteps in the hall. Oh s**t! I glance up and realise it isn’t Arlo or Parker. It must be Tyson. I stop in my tracks the moment my eyes fall on him. “Oh, come on! No!” The words come out before I can stop them. I couldn’t help it because he was just as handsome as the others. Tall, muscular with short blonde hair and pretty blue eyes. He is dressed in jeans and a baggy white tee. “Um, sorry.” He says, confused. I can’t do this, not again. I sigh, shake my head and dart for the bedroom door, but he blocks my path. “Excuse me, please.” I stammer out. He rests his hand on the doorframe and smirks, “Nope. Not until you tell me why you seem mad at me.” Why do I keep making an i***t of myself? “Sorry, I am not mad at you. I am your new roommate, Violet.” I say sweetly with a smile. “Hello, Violet, it is nice to meet you. I am Tyson. But I still don’t get why you seem annoyed at me since we have never met?” he asks with a raised brow. “I would rather not get into it. Ask your friends. I am not mad or annoyed at you, I promise. Now, can I please get into the room because I am getting cold?” He stares at me, letting his eyes run over me and his tongue darts from his mouth and along his lips, “Okay. I will go ask them.” I nod, and he steps aside to let me come forward and finally open the door. “See you soon, gorgeous.” he winks and disappears into the bathroom. I rush inside, close the door and rest against it. I can only imagine what the guys will tell him. I swear they better not decide to gang up and tease the hell out of me. The sooner Alison comes home, the better. I am sure she has no bother keeping them in check. I forgot about the three of them. I need them out of my mind. I quickly dry off and change into sweatpants and an oversized tee. I put my hair in two braids and sit on the bed. I don’t plan on going out anywhere, so there is no need for proper clothes or make-up. I am not moving from this room until Alison arrives home. I have enough in here to keep me entertained. I reach for my book next to the bed and pop my earphones in to listen to some music while I do. I love getting lost in a book, escaping from reality. I found where I finished off last time and got straight back into it. I go into a world of my own, everything else pushed away. I don’t know how long I get lost, but the feel of the bed dipping down pulls me from my book. I glance over the top and see Arlo sitting on my bed, Parker and Tyson standing by the door. How long have they been here? Why are they all in my room? I look between them nervously, “Um, hi.” I stammer out. Arlo flashes his charming smile at me, “Hello, sweetness.” “We wanted to come in and check on you. Also, Tyson wanted to come to say a proper hello since you were too freaked out earlier to talk to him.” “I was not freaked out!” I protest. “Yes, you were, but don’t worry, the guys filled me in.” I didn’t like the smug look on Tyson’s face. I can only imagine what they told him. Tyson came over and sat on my bed, too. “Oh, I am sure they did. I am curious: why did three of you need to come and not just Tyson if he wanted to come to say hello?” “What can I say, I missed your pretty eyes,” Parker smirks and comes to sit on the spot next to me. I stop from rolling my eyes at his words. Always such a charmer. I am sure many women would feel a little uneasy right now, and maybe I should be, too, but I don’t for some reason. I am not sure what to think about that. “No, seriously, why are you all in here?” “We were talking and decided tonight, we drink and order pizza. Our way of saying welcome. What are your thoughts on that?” Arlo smiles. A smile which sends a shiver straight through me and straight between my thighs. “Um, don’t you all have better things to do?” I don’t like all of this attention on me. “Nope! It is happening. What do you want to drink?” Parker asks. I could try to fight them on it, but it is three against one, and I have no chance. I may as well give in and tell them what I want. I shrug, “Hmm, I drink anything, really.” I am not fussed about what I drink. I can handle any alcohol; my tolerance is good. Tyson places his hand on his heart, “Ahh, a woman after my own heart.” He smirks. A giggle escapes my lips, and I shake my head. Tyson laughs and winks at me. I feel the heat rise on my cheek, just like before when the other guys did something flirty towards me. “Great! Well, we are going to head out and get what we need. Alison should be home soon. If she is back before us, can you ladies order food, please? I will leave money for it.” Arlo smiles. “I can get the food,” I reply. I am sure I can afford some food for everyone. I am not quite skint yet. “Nonsense. We will get it. We won’t be long.” Parker says. Parker and Tyson leave the room, but Arlo doesn’t move. He stays put, and his eyes fall directly on me. I find myself staring back at him, getting lost in those dark Bambi eyes. Why does he need to be so damn beautiful? He licks his lips, and I mirror his action. “W-w-why are you staring at me like that?” I whisper. He doesn’t answer, not at first, and his eyes don’t break away, not even for a second. I swallow hard and whimper at the intensity in his eyes. I watch a sexy little smile rise on his lips, and he finally gets to his feet. “See you soon, gorgeous.” he winks and disappears out of the bedroom. I sit there and stare at the door. My gut is telling me I may be in a lot of trouble while staying here, and Arlo will possibly be the worst and first culprit for it.
