Chapter Two -You scared her off, already?

1434 Words
Arlo I am sure Violet has purposely been avoiding me. She has been hiding in Alison’s room for the last two hours. I think I make her nervous. I seem to have that effect on a lot of women. I have fun with it. I wanted to go through, but I decided not to because she was already feeling awkward around me when there was no need. She was clearly attracted to me with the way she was giggling and blushing. The attraction is mutual. She is gorgeous, too, with her beautiful curvy body, wavy natural red hair and pretty hazel/green eyes. I don’t know much about her. All I know is she and Alison have been friends for a long time, and recently, Violet broke up with her fiancé for being a lying, cheating bastard. I haven’t met her before today, which is surprising considering how close she and Alison are. I consider standing up to go and check in on Violet, but before I can, the front door opens and in walks Parker. He wasn’t supposed to be back until later. “Bro, thought you weren’t due back until later?” I ask. “I managed to get off early. What are you doing home?” “I just never went to work. I called in sick.” I chuckle. I haven’t had a sick day in ages, so today I took one. Parker shakes his head and laughs at me before falling next to me on the sofa. Parker and I have been friends for a long time, twelve years to be exact. We were twelve when we met. He is my best friend, and we have a strong bond due to both having shitty childhoods. “You are so damn lazy at times.” He teases. “I am not lazy. I work hard. I deserve a day off.” I reply and slap the back of his head. He whines like a b***h and rubs it. I smirk and laugh. “Asshole.” “Yet, you still love me.” I wink. Parker shakes his head, laughing. “When is Alison’s friend coming? It is not today at some point?” I nod, “She is already here. She is hiding in Alison’s room.” “What did you do to her? You scared her off. What did you do or say, bro?” “I didn’t do anything. She wants me, that isn’t my fault.” I try my best not to seem too smug. He tuts at me, “You hit on her, didn’t you? You scared her with your pretty eyes and smile.” “What can I say? Women can’t resist my big dark doe eyes.” I say, not even trying to hide my smugness this time around. Parker shakes his head at me, “You are so damn arrogant. Maybe I should go introduce myself.” “I would advise you to leave her. I am not sure how she will handle another guy showing up at her room. You may make her want to run away.” I reply with a loud laugh. Parker shrugs and jumps to his feet, “We will find out, won’t we?” I shake my head, “It is a bad idea.” “When have I ever been one to follow the rules? Come on, bro, you know me better than that.” He chuckles and heads straight for Alison’s room. I decided to follow. I stand in the hallway as he knocks on the bedroom door. “Who is it?” Violet calls out. “Parker, one of your other roommates,” He says sweetly. Oh, so that is how he is going to play it? Sweetly? “Um, okay, give me a second.” Violet sounds nervous, but after a second, she opens the door. I watch Parker flash his dazzling smile at her. “Hell no! Not another one,” She whines. Parker stands there confused, “Uh?” “Why do you all have to be so damn handsome! Why didn’t Alison warn me,” she exclaims. A loud laugh falls from my lips. I can see Parker trying to hold his back. Violet steps out of the room, and her eyes fall on me. She glances between Parker and me. “No! I can’t deal with this right now.” she huffs, heading back into the bedroom and closing the door; only then did Parker let out his laugh, too. He turns to me, “Well, isn’t she something else?” “Yes, she is. I warned you not to go because she wouldn’t be ready for it.” “Why didn’t you tell me how damn gorgeous she was?” he asks. Parker and I have the same taste in women. We have been with the same woman more than once, separately and together. We have had a few threesomes over the years. It doesn’t bother us, and it has never bothered the women we have been with, either. We haven’t like been in a serious relationship or anything with the same woman, only sexually. “I know, right?” I smirk. “I can hear you.” Violet’s voice yells from the bedroom. “Good! We weren’t trying to hide the fact that we were talking about you. Do you not think it is time you come out of the room, sweetness?” I reply. “Nope! I am fine right here, thank you very much, until Alison returns.” “I promise we don’t bite. You will need to get used to it if you are staying here, kitten.” Parker adds in. She groans, “Stop with the nicknames.” “Or what? What are you going to do from in there?” I challenge. Maybe we can coax her out. We wait for a response, and a moment later, the door flings open, and she steps out. Violet crosses her arms over her chest and stares between us. “Stop with the nicknames. I don’t know either of you.” She protests. Parker and I make eye contact, both smirking, “You could get to know us.” Violet’s eyes dropped to the ground, and the heat rose on her face and neck, “No, thank you.” Her words are barely audible. “We are going to be roommates; life will be easier if we all get to know each other and get along,” Parker says sweetly. Violet sights and lifts her head, staring between us, “I guess. Please tell me the other doesn’t look like, well, you two?” she pouts. “You can judge for yourself, gorgeous, when Tyson comes back later.” I chuckle. “Why does life hate me,” she mumbles. “Who says it hates you? Maybe it is rewarding you.” Parker winks. “Rewarding me? Please explain that one to me. How can torturing me with guys like you two be rewarding me?” I watched regret take over her face the second after she asked. “Maybe it has decided to put some temptation in your path so you can have a little fun.” He chuckles. Parker is a very upfront and honest guy. He says what he thinks, not caring of any judgment to follow it. “There are two of you! No, three of you! What do you take me for?” she gasps, her hands all over the place. Parker crosses his arms over his chest, smirking, “We don’t mind sharing. It wouldn’t be the first time.” He says every word with confidence! Violet stands there with her mouth hanging open, wondering what she has gotten herself into. She goes to speak but can’t seem to find the words. “Nope. I can’t deal with this today.” she moans and disappears into the bedroom, closing the door again. I shake my head and slap Parker on the arm, “You had to scare her off?” He chuckles and shrugs, “She will get over it. Do you want a beer? I am sure she will come out when she is ready.” I nod, “A beer sounds good.” I am sure she will get used to us, eventually. Parker and I can be a lot, but all in the name of fun. Tyson is a little more reserved than us, but he has his moments, too. We are all harmless, really. She will learn to love us in the same way Alison did.
