CHAPTER FIVE

1055 Words
MIA'S POV I was not even looking at things the way they were meant to be at the moment but the only thing on my mind was the way I was going to be able to talk to Chloe about my problems. She was always the one that I would take certain issues to, she would know what it was that I needed to do. “All I need is to know that there is nothing on this earth that would make me fold the way I have always done before. It is tiring but it has to be something that take care of.” I was looking at the pile of work I had to complete before leaving, the thought always hit me but there was nothing I could do about it. It was like there was no one there that would even see me married. I knew if I was not married to the Anderson Heir I would have many chances to do anything I wanted to do. It was not even a challenge in my life and there was nothing or anyone here that would even make me feel worried about anything. I didn't know why it was a must for me to get married to him even if it was a promise. “Grandpa had to make this his freaking dying wish and I always had to be his favourite and make sure that his wishes were fulfilled.” I packed all the work I had done in the past hour. It was not like me to work whilst I was trying to be angry but it was rather effective for me. I didn't know what else I was going to be doing in the office, there was nothing that would hold me there but the thought of going home to Julian. “Even thinking of him makes my skin reek! There is nothing that would make me happier than to think of it as nothing else but a business agreement.” I always had a way to make sure that my problems don't haunt me but it was not always clear to me why it would even make things worse when I think of it too much. I stood up from my desk and headed to the front office where I was going to meet Lily and hand over some work to her to sort and organise. “Lily, look all this works need to be kept in order and I need you to know that someone would call later to pick up some documents and then you would need to grab most of this to deliver to him.” I was expecting someone to come in and take some papers but since the person didn't show I was going to make sure that I gave the file to Lily. “Okay Ma’am, have a blissful evening.” Lily smiled as I handed the files to her . I looked at Lily and a smile formed on my face, I was not sure that it was not from hearing her say it or the way she was always ready to make me smile no matter what position I found myself in. “Have a great evening too Lily, I will see you tomorrow then.” I smiled before I left the office, it was not even clear to me how I would have a worker like Lily and still be worried about the office. There were things she could do that I would even have a hard time thinking of completing them. I went straight to the coffee shop where I was meant to meet up with Chloe and it was going to be the best part of my day and it would mean that i had someone to talk to after everything I had seen in the hands of that brute Julian. I got to the coffee shop and I saw Chloe there already. She looked like an angel, most times I worried that I was living in her shadow and her alluring beauty. “There is always a first time for everything and here I am seeing Chloe Tyler in a coffee shop this early.” I teased her as I went to sit beside her, there was no telling how it was going to be possible for me to see her and not give her a blasting remark. “You always have to come up with the most heartfelt compliments, I am always early.” Chloe looked at me with a smile on her face, she knew how to play her cards with me. “You do know that it is not a compliment, I wonder how you are able to make this kind of things hard to even think of.” I looked at her and the only thing that would come to my mind was how she was always able to evade any harsh words. “I know you love me and that is why nothing you say would ever be able to harm me in any way.” Chloe smiled, her smile made me laugh hard too and it was not even the main topic I had in mind when I saw her call. We spent over 20 minutes talking about things I had seen. I had a lot to say and it was not even going to be the end of it all. I needed to get somethings off my chest and it was not yet done. “The guy sounds like a cyborg but yet it looks like they have more emotions and affection more than him.” Chloe was a bit worried when she heard what he had done to me. “He thinks that having money is all he needs to woo a girl and I was not even looking forward to marrying someone as stupid and dense as him. There had to be something I would do to make sure that he won't insult me. But I think it is better if he doesn't know what I have or what I can do at the moment.” I was not sure but there was something about Julian that ticked me off and it was not even clear what it was that made me so angry whenever I remembered him.
