Chapter 8The next few days passed with such swiftness that Joshua could hardly believe it. Blair had already been a guest for a week and things were working out really well. Joshua enjoyed Blair’s company in the evenings—although Blair had a tendency to scurry away far too early—and, now that Blair was mobile, he was preparing breakfasts and dinners. And he’s a great cook. Not needing to bother himself with cooking after work was something Joshua was more than happy about. The meal he’d just eaten was delicious. He could cook, of course, he didn’t live on takeout by any means, but there was a depth of flavor to Blair’s cooking that Joshua envied. He started to rise but Blair waved him down. “I made a dessert. Ella said you have a sweet tooth, and that you rarely indulge it. So I thought
