Drake's groan iof dsappointment carried a deep message to Irin. She couldn't hidr her tensed look because she knew deep within her it could mean anything. "You really are as naive as Isabelle." He walked over to the switch and turned the lights back on. He headed over to the candles and blew them out one after the other. She watched with deep hurt as her hardwork got wiped as if she'd done nothing. "If you've been observant enough, you would have noticed that Isabelle keeps trying to link me to a female teacher in school. But, how would you know? You never cared about me from the start nor do you pay attention to what's going on in her school. You have gotten so self absorbed, Irin." He blew out the last candle and went over to the mattress. The entire rose petals were pushed off. Gina hadn't felt so ridiculed and insulted in her entire life. Her daughter wishes to replace her? Why was that? "Why would Isabelle think that way? She's just a young girl. She doesn't know anything." "Children nowadays are really smart. I tried to warn you, I tried proving to her that you were a great mum and you were only upset due to our fight. You didn't help me at all. You pushed things too far. Too far, I… I almost turned myself in. I couldn't live with the guilt anymore. " Gina saw that as so random. He wanted to turn himself in? When? How? "I understand Isabelle is immature and hurt by the past but she is just a young girl. Unfortunately, I traumatized her by our conflicts… " "You changed that girl's heart completely. At times, I do not recognize who she is when she speaks with you. " "We can make things right… " "The only way we can make things right is through a divorce… " Her body shivered. A divorce? This was her fear. Since when did things escalate that bad? "... and of course," he continued. "Bernard won't be separated from me anymore" "No Drake! This isn't right. " She had her hands grab his face with a bitter look. "I still love you. I was only upset by what you did. I never realized you would hold a gun ever… " He grabbed her hands and slowly dropped them. "Let me move on please. I am tired of you. You are a leach" She watched him rearrange the bed as it was, as he said these words. Tears escaped her cheeks. "Leave and shut the door behind you. That would make my night a lot better. I guess I my mood has successfully ruined again and I would need to head for therapy for the third time this week" Gina stepped out and shut the door behind her. She leaned on his door, and held the knob feeling reluctant to let it go. His words rang repeatedly in her ears. She was a leah, she depressed him, he couldn't bear her anymore. She headed back to her room and laid on bed deep in thought, still in the night gown. He was right. She had been the problem. She has always been the problem. Her phone vibrated and she picked up the call. It was her mum. "Gina, your dad is very sick. I know you do not care about him but come and see him now" Gina shook her head in reluctance. "I do not wish to see his face… " "Please. You could do this for the poor old man" "What could be wrong eith him mother? I thought he said himself he wouldn't show his face ever again after we'd shut me out." "The situation is more serious than you think. The doctors keep saying he might not make it." Gina hadn't realized she would feel worry for her dad at all. Her feet went cold and her went restless. What could be the problem now. She picked up her bag hurried and rushed out. "I will be there mother! Tell dad I am coming!" She alerted her mum, before searching for her car keys to open her car. They were nowhere to be found. She'd ended up fidgeting with her bag. Little had she known that encounter would cause a drastic twist in her life.
