Morgan’s POV
I left towards the lake to meet with Harper for Lake. I took deep breaths as I got closer and closer. I didn’t have much to live for so if Harper Glass did kill me it wouldn’t be the worst thing. I still did trust Lake when she said Harper wouldn’t attack me.
I decided to take a different path than the open trail that led right to the lake. There was a wall of trees and vines between me and the lake.
My heart raced as I smelt the most delicious smell. I felt a pull and my wolf became alert. I meant to lean back against a tree but I missed it, falling back causing me to groan.
“f**k, go see who that is,” Alpha Brayla whispered.
Someone jumped out in front of me before I could act. I looked at him and knew.
