Ch-40 (DARK)

1030 Words
“What the f**k is she doing?”; The Goddess threw a lamp in anger. Dark just stayed seated, smiling as he looked down at Eugene having a mental breakdown. She looked at him with questioning eyes. “Why are you so quiet? Don’t you see Destiny is messing with our world?”; Goddess questioned him. He looked at her and smiled a little. His non-caring persona was triggering to her. “Can you do something about it?”; Dark questioned. Goddess suddenly became all quiet. She knows that none of them is powerful enough to tackle with Destiny. She is not just the destiny of the world; she also decides the destiny of gods and goddesses. She sighed and sat down in exhaustion. She has never gone through so much emotions in such a short time. She cannot even descend to the world or communicate because Destiny is down there. “Don’t you care? This is our world.”; Goddess looked at Dark with hopeful eyes. Dark sighed and nodded. He does care, but he also knows his limitations. “I cannot act against Destiny; I don’t have the strength to do so.”; Dark said. Goddess sighed and covered her face with her hands. She sure dislikes some people in her world, but she does not hate. She created them all. And now all of them are in danger. She feels like she failed at her role. She gave magical power and blessings to her children, and this is what they did. They are now on a verge of WORLDS WAR. Her hands are tied because of Destiny. Her taking direct action will challenge Destiny outright, and she knows she will die. “I will challenge her.”; Goddess said. Dark looked at her with raised eyebrows. He knows she is stupid, but this is even beyond his expectations. “And die, so, you don’t have to see your world die. You are just picking an easy option of dying before so, you don’t have to suffer.”; Dark pointed out. Goddess gritted her teeth at him. “I AM NOT PICKING AN EASY CHOICE. WE DON’T HAVE A CHOICE. EITHER THE WORLD DIE OR I CHALLENGE HER. I WILL NOT LET MY WORLD JUST DIE LIKE THIS!!”; Goddess huffed. She spoke so much in a single breath that it took her breath away. “We don’t have power to match her, but we have… no sorry, I have brain to match her.”; Dark said, making Goddess narrow her eyes at him. “You are saying I am stupid.”; Goddess said as he raised his hands and shook his head. “No, I am not. You are stupid, it is a fact. You forgot Destiny is not allowed to use her power unless she is attacked first. So, she cannot harm us in any way unless we attack her first. So, everything goes according to the humans down. Seeing that Destiny had to come down to manipulate Eugene, means that she was not in control anymore. That means that she does not even know where this all will go.”; Dark said. “You mean to say, that she lied about world’s war.”; Goddess questioned. “No, I don’t think so. I got information about that world and they are truly very advanced. They may probably find a way.”; Dark said. “SEE!!”; Goddess shouted as she slumped down in her chair. “How about we focus on one problem first? Keeping the balance of our world. Who knows how long will it take for them to reach here? They still haven’t understood how dimensions work, let alone travelling through it.”; Dark said. Goddess nodded; she does not want Aarav to die she thinks that if he died, something bad is going to happen. “We cannot let Aarav die.”; She said as Dark pressed his lips into thin lips. “People will die. You cannot interfere, but seeing that my champion will be scared again, if he dies; I will help. Also, I don’t think he is someone who can just die without a fight.”; Dark said as he yawned. He does not know why is he friends with her? If only he would have not been her friend, he could have chosen someone less stupid to work with. She lost her cool just seeing Destiny. Sure, they were taught in school to never ever challenge Destiny, but they were never taught to fear her. They learned about her capabilities, but they did not learn to fear them. Goddess frowned and looked down at Eugene, who had gotten up and was walking out of his room. Seems like he has decided. He just hopes whatever it is, it is good. Dark looked down and smirked. He knows this is going to be fun. “Aren’t you enjoying this too much?”; Goddess said. “You should too, you know. How long it has been since something fun has happened? We have been alive for millions of years. Everything got so boring. Now finally, something has caught my attention. It is like we are watching a drama or a novel unfold in front of us.”; Dark commented as he smiled. Out of nowhere, popcorn was in his hands. He reclined his seat as a large screen got set up in front of him. He smiled and started eating popcorns, waiting for the drama to take place. Goddess took a deep breath to calm herself down before going out of the room. Dark gave her a fleeting attention before looking back at the screen. “BYEE!!” Goddess heard Dark as she closed the gate. She closed her eyes before shaking her head in disappointment before going away. She walked away, hearing Dark cheering for something. Something is amiss and she knows it, but what?
