Eugene looked at the sky and shivered. WHY IS DARK GOD INTERFERING!!? No one has ever heard of Dark God interfering. He frowned as he combed his hair back. Everything is going wrong. He does not know what to do? He is missing something, something that might change everything.
Eugene slumped down in his chair, looking at the lamp, enlightening everything. He looked at the files he has to complete. He opened a file and was about to turn a page, but stopped when he suddenly looked at the flame of the candle. It looked frozen. He got up and looked down at the guards, frozen just like the flame of the candle.
“What the hell is happening?”; Eugene asked to himself.
“I apologise. You humans are just so weak. I had to freeze them otherwise they would have died.”
Eugene heard a voice from behind. He turned around and saw a little girl sitting on the chair in front of his desk. Her long black hair touched the ground while her brown complexion made her crimson red eyes pop out. She smiled at him, showing her teeth. She was wearing a beautiful black and red dress.
She raised her eyebrows at him cutely. She looked adorable. Anyone would want to pick her up and pamper her.
“Archbishop Eugene Floyd Axton, it is nice to meet you.”; the girl said. She gestured him to take a seat. He followed, knowing it might be bad for his health if he does not.
“I am impressed.”; The girl said to him. She smiled at him, looking at him with adorable eyes. He looked at her with questioning eyes as she chuckled.
“Well, not even your Goddesses or Gods could make me visit them, but because of you, a mere human; I had to come down on land.”; She said. Eugene gulped as he looked at her.
“Who are you?”; He finally could gather up courage to question her. She chuckled at him. He was shivering just sitting in front of him, just like a little lamb.
“I am someone, you have challenged. I am your opponent. What is my name? I don’t remember. It has been so long since someone worthy came along to call my name. But I go by many titles, that are very famous. No matter what is your religion, or even if you are atheist, you must have heard of my title. I go by, DESTINY, FATE or KARMA. Whatever floats your boat.”; The girl aka Destiny replied to his question.
Eugene stood up, looking at her with wide eyes. She chuckled at his fear. She liked it; she liked when people feared her, especially when she is in a little girl’s body.
“Sit down, Archbishop.”; She commanded. He followed her order as her introduction went through her head again and again.
“I never challenged you, Goddess.”; Eugene said.
“DON’T CALL ME GODDESS.”; Destiny said in a stern tone, making Eugene gulp in fear.
“I am not as weak as a goddess or God. Call me Destiny, my title is my rank.”; Destiny said. He nodded at her as he repeated himself.
“I never challenged you, Destiny.”
“Oh, you did. You tried to mend Aahana’s destiny, didn’t you?”; Destiny asked. Eugene’s eyes widened.
“Ah, you must be thinking, why would I care about such a relevant soul. True, I don’t.”; Destiny answered his unasked question. He looked at her, confused again.
“But you see, Your Goddess asked me a favour for that soul. I transferred her to a different world. I changed that world’s destiny. It was to be a normal world, having no one with power, but Aahana and Aarav were made anomaly because of that fate. Now, because of you, they have gone missing from the world they were to be in. What do you think happens if people just disappear and go to another world?”; Destiny asked as she picked up a cherry from her fruit basket and ate it.
“I don’t know.”; Eugene answered.
“What do you think that destiny is something you can play with as you like? Even a single bug matters, you just hand picked two people from a world.”; Destiny said. Her childish voice was now replaced by more mature one.
“What do you think, people associated with Aahana and Aarav do when they find out that two people have vanished, into thin air?”; Destiny asked again.
“They will try to find them.”; Eugene answered with hesitation.
“BINGO!!”; Destiny said as she picked another cherry.
“Unfortunately for you, people there are intelligent and more advanced than you guys. They will know where they went and how they went there. Do you know what that means?”; Destiny asked again.
“They will come here.”; Eugene answered with wide eyes.
“BINGO AGAIN!!”; Destiny cheered for him as she picked up another cherry.
“Sadly, for you, people there are greedy as well. If they find new things that they don’t understand, they capture it and try to understand it. Especially if it benefits them. When they will find that people have powers and have hidden wealth like minerals, they won’t just want your power, they will want this world.”; Destiny said as she picked up another cherry. She looked at Eugene, who looked horrified. She smirked at him as she continued.
“It will war between WORLDS. It will be legit WORLDS WAR. And sorry to say, but they have weapons that can erase an entire city within seconds. They will kill you all even before you can attack them.”; Destiny said as she picked up a green apple. She bit into it, pleasantly surprised by the sweetness spreading through her tongue.
“Everyone in this world will die and you will cause it.”; Destiny said as she looked at him with accusing eyes.
“I- I did not mean it.”; Eugene said. He does not want people to die. He just wanted Aahana to come back to her own world, to him.
“I know, child. That is why you are still alive.”; Destiny said. Eugene looked at her with widened eyes.
“You can save not just this world but also the other one.”; Destiny said.
“How?”; Eugene asked in eagerly. Destiny smiled at him as she took another bite of the apple.
“Seeing how eager you are to help save this world. I will give you a gift in return. I will allow Aahana to stay behind, but you have to kill Aarav.”; Destiny said. Eugene fell off his chair, making destiny climb up the table to look at him. She sat at the table, looking down at him. He looked horrified.
“You have three choices, my child. First, you kill Aarav, have Aahana, and save both worlds. Second, you kill them both and save both worlds. And last, you let both worlds die.”; Destiny said as he looked up at her with pleading eyes, asking for another option silently. She shook her head at him.
“You played with Destiny, my child. Playing with me comes with a cost. I like you that is why I am giving you three choices. Don’t push it. Think it over quickly, you have little time left.”; Destiny said before she vanished in thin air.
