Aarav and Aahana were ready to get out of this church. Deep down she wanted to explore it, yet she did not because of how big the property is.
“You guys can come with us.”; Aahana said.
“Yeah, you can guide us and it will be faster.”; Aarav added.
He did not want them in the car with them, but Aahana had him convinced. She wanted to have a shower and just sleep for now. It will be better that they take these people with them. Just as she opened the door, she saw Nogi sleeping in her seat.
“NOGI!!”; She shouted, startling the dog awake. He waved his tail and jumped on her. He looked fine and healthy.
Aarav came to them and petted Nogi but he could not help but wonder from where did he came from. They went to office without him and disappeared before they could even arrive at home. So, how the hell was Nogi here?
“Let’s go, we can feed him when we arrive at their mansion.”; Aahana answered.
I fed Nogi with a time schedule, right now it was not the time. They still have an hour before they have to feed him. Aarav nodded as he opened the door for the men. He taught them how to open the door from outside and inside. He also asked them to fasten the seat belt for safety. Aarav sat in the front seat with Nogi on his lap who, like a good boy, did not create any chaos.
“Let’s go.”; Aahana looked at the fuel metre and was thankful that it was full. She started the car, getting a gasp from the three men and the people from outside. As it was hot, she switched on the Ac and left the perimeter of the church.
“Tell me where should we go.”; Aahana said. Archduke created an illusion so, the car appeared as carriage for everyone as they proceeded. Samuel, Michael and their father Anderson could not get enough of the ‘car’. It was cool even though it is hot outside. Anderson looked at Aahana with pride, knowing that she can drive such a big and complex vehicle.
It surprised Aahana to see that they arrived in half an hour; the distance was about eighty kilometres. She stopped in front of the gate where Archduke’s knight stopped the car. Anderson let go of the illusion and was about to get down when Aahana let the window down, which surprised him.
“It is me, let us in”; Anderson said, getting over his surprise.
It surprised knights to see such a vehicle but got over it fast. Aahana drove inside it took around ten minutes just to arrive at the front door. Aarav stared at the ‘mansion’. This is not a mansion; this is a castle!! Damn they sure are rich. Aahana gave a side glance at Aarav, asking if he is seeing what she is seeing. Understanding her gaze, he nodded at her unspoken question.
……………………………………
“Milady, Archduke is back home.”
The lady with pink hair looked at the maid with a questioning gaze. The maid was panting as she ran all the way to her.
“So?”
“Milady, he came in a weird vehicle.”; She answered, making the lady raise her eyebrows.
She got up and walked out of her room; she looked outside as she saw the vehicle driving to the forest in the back. She narrowed her eyes, deciding to follow it. She descended the stairs and went out from the mansion to the forest. Her maids and knights were following her for her protection.
Walking into the forest, she could hear the vehicle. She walked towards it. The car was going in a super slow motion because there were no roads. Aahana had to be extra careful as to not get her tire punctured here.
The car stopped in deep inside the forest which came inside Archduke’s property. It was a suitable spot to hide the car. The lady narrowed her eyes as she got near the car. She was about to get in front when the back doors opened. She saw her husband and her sons getting out of the vehicle.
Anderson was the first one to notice his wife.
“Eleanor, what are you doing here?”; He questioned.
She was about to say something, but her attention went to the car again as the two doors in front opened up. Her eyes slowly widened as she saw Aahana getting out of the vehicle. Aahana locked the door as Aarav came and stood beside her, handing Nogi to her, who did not want to walk.
Aahana looked at the lady, who was staring at her pretty hard. Her eyes widened as she the pink hair.
‘Damn, she has the same colour as the boy,’
Aahana could not get the colour out of her mind.
“Mom, they are our guest.”; Samuel spoke to his mom.
Aahana’s and Aarav’s eyes widened as they looked at each other.
‘She is their mom!! She looks so young.’
“I am Aarav and this my sister Aahana.”; Aarav introduced them to the lady, whose poker face broke into a small smile.
“I am Eleanor Ada Griffith, the Archduchess.”; She introduced herself. She was controlling herself to not to hug her daughter hard. Her daughter might different name now but she is still her daughter.
“You are gorgeous, Aahana.”; Eleanor complimented.
Aahana’s cheeks reddened, and her eyes widened in surprise. She has never been complimented in her life. She gave a shy smile to Eleanor; she felt honoured to be complimented by such beautiful woman.
“You are pretty too.”; She replied in a small voice, making Aarav chuckle while the three men were cooing inside their mind at her adorable behaviour. Eleanor chuckled at her shy behaviour.
“Thank you, sweetie, let’s go home.”; She said as she came close to Aahana and grabbed her hand. Aahana’s eyes widened but said nothing and let the lady guide her. She looked at Aarav, who was right beside her. Aarav gave her a reassuring smile, but deep down he does not like such behaviour.
Their behaviour is over friendly, or one may also say it as if they were waiting for them; well, more like Aahana. He does not trust this family, there is clearly something that they are hiding from them. He will find it out and if they are trying to harm Aahana, he will kill them without hesitation.
Eleanor brought them inside, making Aahana look around. Eleanor looked at her hopeful eyes but was disappointed when she saw no recognition. Aahana was star struck seeing how big and magnificent is the mansion. Aarav took was taken aback seeing the inside of the mansion.
“Prepare rooms for Sir Aarav and Miss Aahana.”; Eleanor ordered to the maid who nodded and went away.
Aahana’s attention was taken away when Nogi gave a bark. Everyone looked at the cute dog, who was looking at Aahana with his cute eyes.
“Ah, do you something for a dog. He is starving.”; Aahana asked politely. She does not know if this is impolite here or not.
“Of course.”; Eleanor said as she gestured the butler to bring some food for the dog.
“Have a seat, please. Your rooms will be prepared soon.”; Eleanor said as maids poured some tea and snacks.
Aahana sat beside Aarav and let Nogi down, as the butler brought water and food for him. She gave a small smile to them while Aarav sat looking at them. He looked gentle yet on guard.
“You know how our Goddess sends people from other world. They came here because of that, as it is our duty to make people from other dimension as comfortable as possible.”; Anderson said. Eleanor nodded with a smile. She does not want to show her surprise because she knows that Sir Aarav will catch her.
“Yes, you did great, honey.”; Eleanor said. It stunned Anderson. She has not called him with such love for years.
“Have some snacks.”; Eleanor said as Aahana nodded and picked up a macaroon.
“It must be sad, leaving your family behind.”; Eleanor said, making Aarav raise his eyebrows.
“Yes, it is. We had a life back in our dimension. To be suddenly sucked up in another dimension, is something we would have never imagined.”; Aarav answered as Aahana nodded.
Aahana looked down at the macaroon with a sad smile, making everyone look at the siblings with sad expressions. They both don’t trust anyone in this house and there is no way they will tell them anything about them. Aarav held her hand as she looked at her brother who gave her a small smile, which she returned.
He squeezed her hand, assuring her they will have each other no matter what. They will be together just like they have always been. She returned the squeeze, agreeing to everything. She will never be separated from her brother.
