Ch-24 (Strong mana core)

“YOU GOT A JOB OUT OF THE BLUE!!”; Aarav shouts at her. Aahana looks around and gives an apologetic expression to everyone who got startled by this. She dragged him away to a corner and gave him a glare to shut up. “Stop shouting.”; She whispered to him. “Fine, but how could you just take a job like this. Don’t you think it is fishy, especially when she gave you a dress as a ‘gift’ to join. Such things never happen in a cooperate world.”; Aarav said. “This is not a cooperate world. And that shop just felt right.”; Aahana said. Aarav gave her a deadpanned look. “It makes sense, right?”; Aahana asked. “No! it does not”; Aarav answered. “Come on, it will be fine. It feels so right.”; Aahana said. Aarav sighed and shook his head. “Fine, I cannot stop you either way. But if something feels wrong, you tell me and get out of there asap.”; Aarav said, making her nod. They nodded and walked away from the alley. Children were laughing and playing. There was vibrant colour scattered in every nook of the market. Adults have smile on their faces while seller had satisfied expression as well. The streets were clean and well kept. Aahana took in such a joyful environment in the market. This contrasted what she was feeling deep inside. She has always been so sure about her life, but for the first time in her life, she does not know what is going on. “Sit on the bench near the fountain. I will bring you something to eat and drink.”; Aarav suggested. He sensed her internal turmoil. He has never seen her struggling so much. All he could do right now was to feed her, because she loves food and it always makes her happy. “Okay”; Aahana jumped in happiness. She sat down on the bench; Aarav kept the dress beside her. He walked away, Nogi following him behind. Aahana chuckled, seeing how Nogi was growling at anyone who tried to come near Aarav. Nogi is like the over protective guardian. She closed her eyes, concentrating on the water falling behind her from the fountain. She took in a deep breath, relaxing herself. She is confused, but she knows she cannot do anything right now. All she can do is go with the flow. She did not realise, as she was falling slowly in the state of unconsciousness. “Miss, if you don’t mind, may I take a seat beside you?”; A husky yet smooth voice made her come out of her state as she opened her eyes and looked at her side. A man, having crimson hair and baby blue eyes, he was even taller than her brother. “Sure.”; Aahana said. She kept the dress on her lap and let the man sit down. “Thank you, Miss…” “Aahana”; She replied. “Thank you, Miss Aahana. I am Ezekiel.”; He introduced himself. Aahana raised her eyebrows; but shook his hand. She knows that everyone here has a surname, yet he did not give her one. She shrugged; she does not care about this at all. “Are you not from here?”; Ezekiel questioned. “Yes.”; Aahana replied shortly, not wanting to explain any further. Ezekiel smiled and nodded. Aahana did not pay anymore attention to him while he was taking a constant peek at her. He has never sensed such dense mana. It is as if her mana has been storing inside her and she has not even used it a little. Her mana core is powerful. Aahana saw Aarav coming towards her, his eyes were narrowed on Ezekiel. She got up and walked towards him, saying nothing to Ezekiel. To be honest, she doesn’t think it is necessary for her to bid goodbye to someone she just met. She is not even his acquaintance. Ezekiel looked as Aahana walked away with her brother. He smirked at them, but soon stopped when he saw a dog staring back at him. He frowned, not understanding, but soon a shiver ran down his spine when he saw the dog’s eyes turn red for a few seconds. “Nogi, come on.”; Aahana called for the dog. Ezekiel saw Nogi give him one another look before running back to Aahana and Aarav. He narrowed his eyes at the dog and then at the girl and the boy. Soon his expression turns into an amused one. “Who are they?”; Ezekiel asked. “The nephew and niece of Archduke Anderson, or so he said.”; Lewis answered. He appeared out of thin air. “Were they the one, Augustus and Rowan wanted to meet?”; He asked. “Yes, Your Majesty.”; Lewis answered. “What do we have on them?”; Ezekiel asked again. “Nothing.”; Lewis answered. Ezekiel frowned and looked at Lewis as if he heard something. He raised his eyebrows at his assistant in question. “We have no information on them, Your Majesty. None.”; Lewis repeated. Ezekiel frowned and looked in the direction where once the siblings were walking through. He has to admit that he was mesmerized by the look of the girl. She looks exotic, cute, gorgeous, and she has innocent, yet sexy eyes. But this is not what he is worried about. He has information about everyone, from their little mischievous deeds. He knows everything that happens inside this empire, but now he does not know. He is suddenly in the dark, there are two people who allegedly belong to powerful family that he does not know about. How is that possible? Did his men miss these siblings? They could not have just came out of nowhere, right? “Then I want to know about both of them.”; Ezekiel ordered. Lewis bowed down a little and accepted the command. Aahana and Aarav sat down inside the carriage. Aarav could not find a job but Aahana did. Aarav would have to apply for an exam before he could open his practice or work in a hospital. Aahana laid her head back and closed her eyes. “Bhaiya (Elder brother)”; Aahana called Aarav, catching his attention. She rarely calls him bhaiya (Elder brother). “What is it?”; Aarav asked in a worried tone. “Will we be ever able to go back?”; Aahana asked. Aarav opened his mouth; but closed again. He does not know what to say. He knows she is in a vulnerable state, and he also knows that he cannot lie to her. “I don’t know.”; Aarav answered. He would have to meet someone from the church to get the answer for this. But he does not know whom to trust. They can be snakes in disguise. He cannot risk anything in this unknown world. They know none, there is no one they can relay in this unknown world in case of emergency. At least in their world, they had many who owed them a lot of favours.
