Chapter 2 - Meeting at the airport

1330 Words
Ephraim stared at his father as he stood up in silence, and he breathed out and stared away at the living room wall clock's time. "Goodbye, father," Ephraim spoke, ignoring his stepmom and stepsister, and he left their mansion. Mr. Anthony sighed, wondering when Ephraim would change, as Ephraim kept getting worse because he was annoyed. Ephraim had learned to hide his hurt emotions, and it was difficult for anyone to read his mood. Mr. Anthony shook his head while his wife chapped, "Ephraim is so spoiled. So he couldn't even tell us bye. If he doesn't want to marry, why not have the famous Mr. Ben Douglas' daughter marry Maxuel instead?" Mr. Anthony stared at his wife in silence as their maid approached and cleared the dining table, while Linda smiled faintly and stood up. "Dad, Mom, I'm leaving the house as I have a tutor to meet ahead of my final exams." "Alright, Linda, you give us a call when you get there," Mrs. Anna smiled sweetly to Linda, who replied, "Okay, Mom. Bye, Dad." Mr. Anthony shook his head as he obviously knew everything with Anna was all about competition and always comparing Maxuel to Ephraim. "Maxuel is still young and not yet up to the age to get married, so no need involving him in this." Mr. Anthony stood up and left the living room, as he walked out to head to his office too, and he called his driver, who drove out his Jeep and took him to the office. "We shall see about that," Anna murmured, and she walked away slowly and went back into her room. ***** Arriving at the airport, Ephraim held his small traveling box and walked to clear all his travel documents. He could see the eyes of some pretty young ladies admiring him, but he didn't stare at them twice nor smile at them as he booked first class. Taking his seat finally inside the aircraft as they were about to take off, a lady rushed in, and she was to sit next to him. But instead of her telling him "excuse me" so she could pass, she rather stepped on him and passed as she faced her sexy butt to his face, while swaying her hips seductively to sit next to him. Ephraim was shocked as she actually stained his sparkling black shoe, and he stared at her angrily. "Excuse me, madam! Couldn't you at least see where you're going too?" "Are you talking to me?" Emma asked, even as she clearly heard him, and she sat and stared at the handsome man sitting right next to her in shock, as she had never seen a handsome yellow man like him before. Emma was a 22-year-old business class lady, and she hated the talk of marriage and hadn't taken it seriously. Her father was rich and very influential, and now he was discussing it secretly with her mother, Mrs. Sandra, to give her out for marriage. Emma was angered, and so she gathered her box of clothes to fly away, as she wouldn't marry any man that she didn't like or love. And an arranged marriage irritated her, and she knew her parents. She couldn't protest, as whatever her father said was final. "Hello, Can't you speak or at least apologize?" Ephraim questioned her, keeping his cool because the lady scented so nice and feminine, and she also just admired him even though he saw her eyes darkened. "Sorry for what? I just passed now, and you accused me of stepping on you. Please leave me alone and mind your flight journey!" Emma warned in her sweet seductive voice, and Ephraim gulped all he wanted to say to her and stared away. Ephraim was a man of few words, and he knew questioning the pretty if she has some home training was a waste, as obviously, one who could afford a first-class flight wasn't poor. Ephraim relaxed his back to his seat and fastened his belt as he decided to sleep off until they arrived at his destination. "The plane is about to take off, please fasten your seat belt and ensure all are in place..." Emma removed her hair bond to loosen her black hair to drop to her chest and to cover up her big boobs, and she relaxed back to her seat and stole glances at Ephraim. Emma hadn't seen a handsome man like Ephraim before, and she admired his fine sculpted jawline and cheekbone and his full lips, and even as Ephraim wasn't staring at her, as his mind was on his new business partners he was going to see, he could still feel her intense gaze on him. "Are you in need of anything? What will you like me to serve you both?" The flight attendant asked, and Emma didn't even respond as she was lost wondering how a man like Ephraim would look super attractive like a model or telecaster. "I'm fine. Not in need of anything," Ephraim said, and the flight attendant stared at Emma, who was still lost staring at Ephraim and thinking sadly... "Excuse me, madam, What will you like to be served?" "Nothing, I am fine," Emma chapped and she immediately stared away as Ephraim stared at her and met her gaze. Emma sighed and relaxed her back to her seat as the plane finally took off. Emma was traveling to France to go meet her aunt and to hide away from her new husband, as she wasn't ready to marry him yet. It saddened her that her mother was a puppet, and whatever her father said was final. Emma had four older brothers, and they didn't really care nor had her time, as they were in competition for her father's wealth. She was the only daughter and the last born too, and she gritted her teeth, feeling her anger super boiling. "Is it by force to marry? Nonsense and marriage!" Emma cussed, relaxing her back the more, while Ephraim stared at her in silence. Ephraim wanted to reply, [Obviously, it isn't], But he remembered his father had just spoken to him about marrying a lady he hasn't even met nor seen before. Ephraim sighed and decided to mind his business, as from his observation, the lady sitting right next to him was stubborn and not only stubborn, but also rude and proud, as she possessed the air and aura of a spoiled lady. Ephraim stared away at the flat screen displaying, as he didn't want to think about a stranger. A female, for that matter, as he hated women in general. Ephraim thought about his late mom, Mrs. Benita Dowins. How his invention had shocked her to death, and he sighed and stared away. Ephraim wasn't happy remembering his past. His mother had always encouraged him, but then she was usually unhappy, and he didn't know why, as he was younger then, but he was her only child for five years that she was married to his father. Ephraim hated women, as he remembered his stepmom usually visited his late mom in their home, smiling with his late mom and playing with him, but then after his mother was gone, His stepmom started visiting their mansion more often and acting like she cared. Anna Matteo, like she was before, was conniving and pretending to like him, but once his father wasn't around, She pushed him away and punished him and didn't support his dreams to become one of the best investors. He had wanted to dump his dreams and projects after losing his mother on that hurtful day, but his father kept encouraging him not to, that his mother would be happy in heaven if he continued with his goal and became well-known, but if he quit, his mother would be sad. Ephraim hated women, as he hadn't also taken their relationship seriously. He didn't want to let anyone into his ugly past and so he abstained.
