Liam's POV
I was left speechless. In the last few years, I have heard my brother say much worse, but I knew he never meant it, not really. My brother was dead on the inside, but I still held hope that he could be led from darkness and into the light with the right person. I thought that Serenity might be a good balance for him. When I went searching for my brother’s future bride, I had found her parents and they offered her to us. When they told me of her obedience, I knew that she might be the one for him. That is what Alexander needed in a partner. Now looking at her and seeing her so broken, I knew that she didn't have any obedience and that it was just a tool used for her survival. She was right, this wasn't going to work if she couldn't give my brother what he needed. Is she too broken? I know I must try to help heal her for my brother’s sake. Looking at her like this makes me feel sorry for her. She was such a beautiful woman and I could see her light, but she couldn't. She was too broken and afraid.
I reached down and touched her hand to help reassure her if I could. I didn't know why but I wanted to be there for her, to protect her. As soon as my hand connected with hers, I felt it. It was like a fire through my whole body. I have never felt this sensation before. It was a desire to be next to her, to feel her, to kiss her and to be with her. I looked over to her and stared into her eyes and I was lost. It was like I was seeing her in a different light. I wanted her, I needed her. I reached over and placed my hand around her waist to pull her toward me. She could feel it too. I know she could by her desire to be closer to me. She sat on my lap and I grabbed her arms and sank them around my neck. There were no words, there didn't need to be. I cupped her tear-soaked face and brought it closer to mine as I slowly brought my lips to hers. She kissed me with such intensity and passion. I could taste her tears, but it made it so much more powerful. I needed her and kissed her back while placing my hand around to her back. She flinched as I did, and I pulled myself back.
"I am sorry, I shouldn’t have done that. I don’t want to make you uncomfortable.”
"You’re not making me uncomfortable. For the first time in my life, this feel right."
"It feels right for me too. I need you and I don't know why. I feel like I need to protect you."
"I know, stop talking and kiss me please." I heard the urgency in her voice as she pulled her lips to mine. Her kiss was full of passion and it was unbelievably sexy. I cupped her face once more and invited her tongue into my mouth. It felt so right, and I could care less about my brother in this moment. She was the only one that existed right now. She didn't stop and started to pick up her intensity. I felt her hands to the bottom of shirt, signaling she wanted to take it off. I lifted my arms above my head while she pulled it over and threw it to the ground. She never broke contact with our kiss. It was like she was inviting it in, just like I was. She pulled away for a moment and lifted the dress over her and found my lips again as the dress sunk to the floor. She looked stunning. Her body was mesmerizing. I motioned to the bed or floor now sure of her intentions. She didn't speak but laid herself on the floor. I moved over top of her staring down at her beautiful figure. I didn't want her to think I was taking advantage of her, but I couldn't stop by body from reacting with hers. I knew I should stop but I couldn’t. I pressed my lips to her neck and left soft kisses down toward her breast. She let out a small moan that only made me want her more. She pushed her hips into mine while her hands where making their way to my hair. She began pulling while continuing the assault with her hips. The feeling was unlike anything I have ever experienced. She was in total control and she knew it. Her hands dropped to my waist and as she started unbuttoning my pants, the door flew wide open with a loud bang.
