Chapter 14: DrinkingSuddenly, there was a burst of heat around Rebecca Bell's ear, which startled her. She looked back with her hands in a mess and almost smashed the cup.
Luis Johnson was quick-witted. He held the cup and looked at her. "Stay calm."
Rebecca Bell blushed a little. She looked outside and made sure that there was no one around. Then, she couldn't help complaining, "Mr. Johnson, why are you walking so quietly?"
Luis Johnson did not say anything but looked at the cup of oatmeal.
Rebecca Bell was stunned. "Mr. Johnson, haven't you had lunch yet?"
"No." He admitted it casually. Then he picked up the cup and sniffed it. Finding it smelled good, he took a sip of it.
"Mr. Johnson..." Rebecca Bell was so scared that her eyes widened. This cup was hers, hers! She thought, "Mr. Johnson, are you that hungry? Tell me if so, and I'll go downstairs to buy lunch for you! Why do you have to use my cup?"
Luis Johnson licked the foam on his lips by the tip of his tongue, and the white foam entered his mouth. Then, he took another sip and smacked his lips with relish.
Rebecca Bell's face turned red. She hurriedly looked away, and said, "Mr. Johnson, do you still remember what I said this morning? When I hand in a document to you later, please scold me in public. I believe that after your scolding, the colleagues will believe that we have no relationship."
Rebecca Bell had been thinking about that idea for a long time last night. She thought that it was simple. When her colleagues saw that scene, they would give up their unrealistic notions. But the most important thing was that she needed Luis Johnson to cooperate with her.
Finishing her speaking, she looked at Luis Johnson expectantly.
The man seemed to be hungry. He took a few sips and then said indifferently, "Whatever."
The problem had been solved. Rebecca Bell breathed a sigh of relief. At that moment, there was a noise outside. Rebecca Bell knew that other colleagues had come back, so she hurried out of the tea room.
When she was about to return to her office, she bumped into Martina King. Martina King asked coldly, "Where are the documents?"
Rebecca Bell pointed to Martina's room and said, "They've all been put in."
Martina King snorted and was about to go back to the office when she saw Luis Johnson coming out with a cup of oatmeal in front of everyone.
She noticed that Rebecca Bell had just come out of the tea room, and now Luis Johnson came out. Even a fool could imagine what had happened just now between Rebecca Bell and Luis Johnson. Martina King's face instantly darkened.
Luis Johnson walked steadily toward the two people and handed Rebecca Bell the cup of almost drunk oatmeal. He praised her casually, "It tastes good."
Rebecca Bell didn't say anything.
Luis Johnson returned to the general manager's office. As soon as the door was closed, Bess Carter asked, "Rebecca Bell, this cup is yours?"
Hearing this, Rebecca Bell wanted to disappear instantly.
