Chapter 11: The Return Of A Legend

2295 Words
Percy's POV It's already been five years. Five long years with harsh and disciplinable training, I've finally become the strongest warrior in the time realm. Artemis was the only motivation for me to keep moving. I really couldn't have done this without her. I really wanted to see her again. After five years, I've finally got back my original power. I could control time again. Also my other powers had been improved. But the cost I had to pay was more than predicted All those years, I've changed a lot. Not about the way I look or I got stronger, but also my mind. I didn't want to talk to anyone besides my father, Chronos. In my head had only 4 words 'train to go back.' I've become cold and dangerous. Even myself have realised, that I've turned into a killing machine. Even Chronos was slowly afraid of me. He always warned me about to keep your composure and everything has a life, so keep it if I can. But at the end, I just couldn't tolerate anyone. Many rebellion appeared in this world and I was the one to clean it. Most of the time, I couldn't keep the prisoners. I stepped up slowly to the Tower of Times. I failed in here five years ago, but now is not. Father and the council were there waiting for me at the golden door. I stopped in front of my father. "Father" I nodded. "Son" he said back. I then turned to the golden doors. Finally I can have a chance to see Artemis again. I wondered will she even recognise me? "So this is it" I said. "It's time for me" "Son, I want to wish you luck and all" Chronos said. "The last task for you is to pass my warriors. After that, you can return to Earth." I walked in front of the doors and they automatically opened for my. I took out my sword. "Father" I said. "This time I' face Tartarus is the last time. I do really hope you could send your army" It's not like I was scared of Tartarus or something. But after working and staying in Time realm. I've actually seen how strong Chronos'd army was. I could say they were the best warriors in this universe. The only person they would serve and listen to was Chronos. If I had Chronos on my side. Demigods will have a massive addition. Even Zeus's army would be nothing compared to us. As what I was expecting, Chronos just sighed. "You know each elder Primordial has their own realm right?" I just nodded. "That's why if I send my army to attack Tartarus" He told me. "I'll be officially declared war with him. That is what we, primordial all want to avoid." "You scared of him?." I said. "He has nothing but just a tiny prison on Earth" "Don't underestimate Tartarus, Perseus" he reminded me. "Tartarus's main realm is Void, the prison of all kind. He's a dangerous man. If war break out among us, another Big Bang Theory will happen again and it will send this universe to the beginning of everything." I just nodded, telling him I've understood. "Beside there's already 3 armies on Earth" Chronos continued. "My army will make the total four. Do you know how much destruction that will cost?" I kept my silence. He was right. This is the war between the immortals. That's even more destructive than mortal's wars. I didn't want to see a ruined Earth after we won. "Ok" is said. "It's time for me to go now. Goodbye, father" Chronos gave me a smile as I stepped into the Tower and the doors closed behind me... Artemis's POV Five months. It's been five months since the death of Percy. A legend respected by all and the first man stole my heart. I really wanted to finish myself that day, but as the thought of Percy and his wish. I continued to lead the war. Percy's death actually shocked many of us. We didn't want to spread out this new to everyone. Only the seven and important gods know about this. The demigods are fighting because of Percy. If they heard he's dead, they would lose their will to fight. But I knew they would eventually find out. We just couldn't lie to them forever Since Percy's gone, Jason had taken his job to lead everyone with the help of Nico. This war with Zeus was nothing about who's winning anymore, it was about who could stand the longest. "My lady watch out" Thalia screamed for me. I dodged a spear and shot an arrow at a manticore's head. Tartarus has been attacking us recently. Unfortunately, we were ambushed whirl scouting. Just how many more could they come? I've been fighting about 50 monsters now. I'm really tired from running and fighting like that. Fortunately that none of my hunters were killed or captured. We were about few miles away from camp when a cyclops ran into our way. The amour protected it form head to toes that made our arrow bounced harmless on it. It sent an arrow to the whole where it used to breath that the cyclops down instantly. But as I did that I left my guard down as another cyclops ran out from a bush and swept it's massive club across me. Sent me fly like rang doll. "My lady" my hunters screamed but more monsters just came to them, stopping from coming to my add. I was surrounded by monsters. I was struggling to stand up form the directed hit. The cyclops ran to me and I knew, I was out of option. Suddenly, the sky rumbled, a lightning strike or something even lighter than it shot down from the sky. Letting an explosion to occur. Everyone kept their stance, even the monsters. The from the crater and dust, a figure slowly walked out. I thought he was Zeus, but then I came to not. This new comer wore a black cloak, a celestial bronze sword strapped on his back. He radiated out an intense power that even my hands started to shake. Some how, I felt like I've met him before. The way he walked just looked familiar. A monster charged at him as he just turned the monster into dust with a s***h of sword. It happened so fast that I couldn't even see when did he take his sword out. More and more ran to the man and...ok, I don't know this is wrong or something happened to my eyes. The monsters surrounded him just suddenly stopped on the track like statues and the only person moving was the man. He just slowly and slowly killed the frozen monsters. Why does his power look so familiar to me? I've seen this before. The cyclops dropped his club and started to run away, along with many other monsters. But the man just appeared behind them and killed one by one. He was so fast that my eyes couldn't even see that he was moving. "Please, bare my life" a monster insisted him. But the man put his palm on the monsters face as he just had time to make a scream before turning into dust. The mysterious man slowly stood up as he turned to me. I stepped back. Who is he? This man is a murderer. He just killed a prisoner without a second thought. I notched my bow and shot at him. But the arrow just stopped on midair. My hunters shot a volley at him. With a flick of his fingers, the only two people were moving now was me and him. I stepped back as he advanced. Then suddenly, he was right in front of me. He caught my hand as I struggled to kick him off. "Get off me you monster!" I screamed. "Artemis, Artemis" The man said. I slowly stopped. His voice. I know that voice. Maybe it has changed a bit, but I could still recognise it. There's one person who could have that voice. I slowly flicked his hood over and gasped at the view. "Artemis, it's me" It was him, the man that my heart only belongs to. He was there right in front of me. His face, his eyes, his lips, his nose. Everything I've missed and waited. He was there, in front of me. Tears slowly running down my cheeks. I just couldn't believe. If this's a dream, I hope it would be forever. My hand slowly brushed his cheek. Even he had a beard on him, I could still recognise him. Always... "Percy..." I whispered. "Yeah" he said. "It's me. I'm back" I didn't wait for him to say anymore. I just tackled him into a hug. I pulled him so close to me that I was scared, scared that if this was a dream, he would disappear. The warm, it's been so long for me to feel it again. The scent from his hair. It has changed a bit, but the sea scent was still there. The scent that I love so much. "Oh Percy" I sobbed on his shoulder. "Is this really you?" "I'm here" he patted my back. "I've come back" I let go of the embrace. I cared his cheeks and stared deep into his eyes. Those eyes, those sea green eyes that I lost whenever I stared into. I immediately pulled him to my lips. I kissed him so deep and long. To make sure he was real, and to show him how much I missed him. I pulled away and he breathed hard from the kiss. I'm sure his lips were swollen from it. "This is you" I smiled at him. "Yeah," he whispered "it's always me." "Where were you all those time Perce?" I asked him. "Why didn't you come back to me?" "I was saved by my father." He said. "Not Poseidon, my real father. I'm sorry for not coming back sooner. I trained really hard to come back to you. I'm sorry for making you worried, I'm sorry for making you cried. Artemis, I'm sorry" I didn't want to say anything. I pulled him to a hug again. "It's ok" I said. "I just need you to be back. I just need my Seaweed Brain to be back." Percy just laid his head on my shoulder. We've finally come back together. As much as I hated the Fates, I still silently said my thanks to them. For bringing my Percy back. Percy's POV It's already been five months on Earth. I was actually surprised about the time change between the two world. Camp Half Blood opened the biggest celebration I've ever seen. Both Greek and Roman, even the Stars were there to greet my return. Also the secret about my death was finally revealed. I still felt so strange about the changes. I'm really lucky to have Jason and Nico by my side. They were the best man I could get. About Leo, he tackled me into a anaconda's squeeze the first moment he saw me. But later that evening, the Flame Brain again pranked me with my drinks. Despite how angry I was at him and his annoying laughed. I still smiled from it. It's just good to see them again. I was also being tackled again by the hunters. Their weight still not change a bit from the last time. I nearly out of breath from it. That night I couldn't sleep. About everything that happened today. I sat up from my bed and look down to see Artemis, sleeping peacefully with a smile on her face. She looked so cute and beautiful. I bet this was the fist time for the last five months she actually and a good and peaceful sleep like this. I just smiled at her. Tonight is so beautiful. The moon was high, and the clouds were gone that revealed all the stars on the sky. Petter's statues were still there, his eyes glimmering under the moonlight. I sat on my bed, enjoy the breeze flowing through the window form the lake. Listen to the rustle of trees and occasionally, the sound of some night animals. It was just so peaceful that I wish it could be like this forever. I felt a movement on my side as turned to see Artemis smiling at me. "Did I awake you?" I asked. She just shook her head and turned her gaze to the window. "It's so peaceful isn't it?" She said. "Yeah, it is" I told her. "You know" Artemis spoke up. "Even when you're here, even we have come back like before. Somehow, I'm scared. If we return to the battlefield, it feels like something bad will happen. Maybe I'm just a little tired." "Yeah..." I nodded. "I'm tired too" I turned back to the window. We have been through a lot. Artemis and I. It's like nothing could come in between our love now. But I still haven't given her anything. Then this war is ranging on. I just tired from everything. I think we should come to a rest. Just a bit where we both could find something peaceful in this world. "There's a planet near the centre of the Forgotten Galaxy" I told her. "A small version of earth with lakes and forests" I sighed. "Let's move there together" I said. "And..." "And?" Artemis stared at me. I turned to her and took a deep breath. "And let's have our honeymoon there." Artemis looked at me. Her eyes widened. Tears were swelling up from her eyes. She laid her hand on her chest and smiled at me in happiness. "Yes!"
