Chapter 10: A New World.

Percy's POV I woke up inside a really bright room. The painting was white with gold letters and and numbers attached on the edges of the walls. The room gave out a really strange and fresh atmosphere. Where the hell am I? I wondered. I felt like floating, yet again like standing. The gravity in this place changed a lot. "Argg" I groaned and slowly sat up from where I was. Looking around, the first thing came into me was a man. He was 2 meters tall, but I assumed he could be taller. His skin was white and pale, with the golden toga made him look like a walking sun, even brighter than Apollo. He wore a golden crown on his head with decorations of numbers, up to 12. Also there was a golden age hourglass attached on his belt. Next to him was two guards wearing white armour with golden decorations. They looked a lot like fountain guards I've watched in the Lord of the Rings. The man looked down at me, his face was calm, yet serious. "You two can go now" he ordered the guards. The two armoured guys nodded, then walked out. Closing the golden doors behind us. What left was one two of us. I was scared looking at his face. Just imagine you get detention by the principle. Yeah, that's the same situation I was in. I swallowed looking at him. Some how, I felt a connection to this man, like really strong. But I couldn't figure it out. The man walked closer to me, his face was still held the same expression. I gulped down. He raised his hands, I thought he was about to hit me, but he suddenly pulled me into an embrace. My eyes wide opened in shock. "It's been along time Perseus" I heard him sobbing. "It's been so long." I slowly and gently let go of his embrace. He swept his eyes and looked down at me. His face just changed from a serious and responsible man, down to a lovely and kind guy. "Uh do I know you?" I asked with a frown. It's not like I wanted to be rude, but I couldn't remember anything about him. Not to mention ever met. To my surprise, the man just chuckled at me. "My apologies for not introducing myself" he said. "I'm Chronos" I gripped my fist into a ball. "Don't mess with me Kronos" I snarled. "I've already defeated you!" "No no no" the man laughed. "Many people might have mistaken my name with him. Kronos is just a creation of Gaia, he was blessed by me so that he had my power. But I'm the Keeper of Times, the man that gods and Titans call Primordial." "Wait so where am I?" I frowned. "I thought I was-" "Dead, technically is that" he cut me off. He walked closer to me and laid his hand on my shoulder. "You wouldn't be here if you didn't have my blood, son" Ok another error just appeared here. I've never seen him before, how could I be his son. Then came my blood has already replaced by Poseidon, that's impossible for me to have his blood. "What do you mean?" I raised my voice. "Do you know why Tartarus didn't want to kill you?" Chronos said. I just shook my head. But he actually killed me anyway. Then again, he actually asked me to join him. "Because you're my son Perseus." He said. "There's a big secret about you, a really big one. That's why when you were born, I had to keep you away, to keep you safe." "Safe?" I stood up from my bed. "After everything I've faced, you call that's safe?" "You have to understand Percy" Chronos pleaded. "You're really powerful that I can't even believe myself. You're not a god, not mortal or demigod, and not even Titan. You're us, a primordial." "Primordial?" I stepped back in shock. "A primordial? Then why no one ever noticed that?" "Because I've hidden it." He said. "Kronos, Gaia and even Gods. You think an ordinary God or demigod can defeat them?" He held my shoulders. "Because you're not them Percy. You're stronger and more powerful than them. That's why I had to keep you safe, from the world that even bigger that Earth." "Then tell me" I poked his chest. "You say you're my father. Then why did you abandon me? Why did you leave me in that world without even come to help me. You say you're my father, but you can't even do a job of a real father for me." "I've been watching you ever since I left you Perseus." He exclaimed. "When you were on the street, I had protected you from every evil kinds. But Tartarus was faster than me that he brought you to Goodge High School. I lost the connection with you after that. Then I felt you running away. I tried to follow you, watching every step of yours. When your body about to explode on Olympus after the fight with Kronos, I was the one to bring you back. Then came you nearly died from the poison of love flowers, I had to insist your mother to save you. I really tried my best!" I dropped on the bed in shock. Now I've a father. Who's abandoned me, yet saved me countless time. I hoped it was just a dream, a crazy one. But at the end, it was still reality. I'm a primordial. How could that be even possible? Then my father, should I accept him. What would Artemis tell me in a situation like this? Then can I ever come back to her? There were to many questions that I wanted an answer. Just to many of them. Chronos slowly sat beside me and put an arm around my shoulder. "It hurt me when I saw you and couldn't come to you son" he said. "I really wanted to talk to you" I just sat there and kept my mouth shut. "You talked about you insisted my mother to save me" I muttered. "Who's my mother." Chronos face suddenly changed. He looked at the ground, his face darkened like there was a big secret behind that. "You shouldn't talk about your mother" he told me. "It's really dangerous for you, especially now" "Why?" I asked. "If she's my mother, then I can have the right to ask who she is. Is it that I'm a fail creation of her. That she wants to abandon me too" Chronos suddenly stood up as he growled at me. "Don't talk to your mother like that Perseus. She loves you as much as I do!" He then caught himself and realised it. He laid his hand on my shoulder and spoke in a softer voice. "You should rest. Then we will talk about that later. I'll show you around when you get better." With that, he walked way, leaving me behind staring at his back until he closed the doors in front of me. I laid back on my bed, trying to pull back everything I've heard. Why my life is so complicated? Why can't I have a normal life, or maybe just like before. A ordinary God that is loved by the goddess of the Hunt and have a happy ending. Then my mind suddenly turned back to Arty. If I were here, then it's obvious I'm still be alive. Artemis would be crying her eyes out if I don't come back soon. I have to keep my promise though. As the thought of that, I jumped of the bed and slowly walked to the doors. I wandered around the corridor, without knowing where to go. This place sure is big. As I walked to the window, I took a look of the outside. I was in a castle I think. In front of me was a city placed on floating islands in the mid air, connected my golden bridges. The city sure was astonishing. The houses had different kind of designs but still kept the same white colour and golden decorations. At the end of the city, the furthest floating island. A giant, golden hourglass building was placed. That was the most impressive thing about this place. Like a guards tower or something that none citizen ever dared to come to that island. I continued following the corridor until I heard a familiar voice coming from behind a golden doors. I stepped closer and heard what was happening inside. "My lord" someone said. "Do you think it's safe to bring him here?" "That's the only way Crassus." Chronos said. "Beside this is my realm, no one dare to come here" "But-" "Say no more" Chronos cut him off. "I believe my defence. The only way to enter here is by through the Tower of Times. My time guardians are one the best warriors in this universe. No one can attack us." I heard someone coming that I started sprinting away. Chronos said about the way to enter here, if that's the way to go in, it must be the way to get out. The Tower of Times? Should be that massive hourglass. I was now standing in front of it. The golden doors shining under the sun. If I step into this place, I can see Artemis again. As the thought of that, my feet slowly moving forward. The doors suddenly opened in front of me. I put my hand in my pocket, and Te familiar weight appeared. I brought out the pen and uncapped it. Riptide flung into light. This is the best sword and gift in this world. This sword has been with me from the beginning now. I've lost many things, but I never lose it. I stepped into the tower. Room was like a cylinder, high up to the sky, with no stairs or anything to climb up. The marble circle floor was the only level I was standing, looking up to the light above. How can I be able to get there. I tapped my feet on the floor, suddenly the gravity changed as I flew straight up in the air. I dropped on the ground again, still shocking from the jump. A smirk appeared on my. I tapped my feet harder this time and as I was excited expected, I flew up again. I jumped straight to the wall and kicked it, to make a boost for another jump as I made it across the room. I jumped in a zigzag way, that slowly, I was higher and higher from the floor. But when I jumped about 10 times, the wholes started to appear on the wall. Then from there, the guards came out with their massive swords and shields. The most unfair thing was that they had wings. They flew at me and I block the first on attack on mid air. Then jumped on another guy shoulder to fly up. More and more kept coming like bees coming out from there net. I kept fighting was above me. A sword slashed out and cut my cheek, I swept the blood aside and kept jumping. Another guy dropped down in my as I raised my sword to block him. But another guard flew up and with one s***h of his sword, my arm was taken away from my body. I screamed out in pain. I started to drop down from the air. But the guards kept following me, their determination was to take my life. No, I've to see Artemis. I can't let them have my life that easy. As the thought, I continued jumping up. They kept slashing at me and I just kept blocking them with the arm left. The wound on my side was like hell. Ichor was pouring out from it as they dropped on the floor like rain. I head started to feel dizzy from the lost of blood, but I kept jumping. Then more and more and more came. They filled up the air above as the only thing I could see was the little lights coming through their armours from the top. They were blocking the way. "You can't stop me from coming back!" I roared at them as I kicked a guard away. "I've to see Artemis again!" I managed to use every energy I had left. I shot out a fire ball to the formation. The opened a whole for me, but they started to fill it again. I made the last jump, as strong as I could. I passed through the whole, I could see the light above. I can go back to Artemis again. Back to her arms again. Only a little bit more. A little more. My finger was only a bit more away from the light when a surge of pain came through my stomach. I looked down, as a white metallic blade was there. I groaned, trying to rise about more, to be in the light when another sword threw at me as it came through my bicep. I was dropping, I could feel let. I managed to raise my fingers a bit. She was there, through that light. She was there waiting for me to go back. Then more and more swords threw at me as they piercing through me body until the last on threw was through my heart. I dropped down from the air. The light above me. I could see it. So bright yet again I couldn't touch it. Is this the feeling of dying for real? Why can't I feel the pain like the other time? My vision started blacking. Artemis appeared at the light. Her smile and the way she looks at me. I just love it so much, but j think I can't have anymore chance to see it again. Because this the end. That's the end. Goodbye guys.
