06: New Luna, New Space

For the last few days, it was hard on Lizzy. She felt as if he world came crashing. She missed going out to school and also snickering to the roadside that leads out of the pack area.
She has been warned countless not to go near the boarder but she never paid heed to the warnings. Her and her friend Saga whom she always wondered why she was named so would silently teleport out of the school and go hang out at the boarder but return before someone notice they are missing.
Even though she and Saga has been exchanging letters for the days she had not been to school, she still misses them that it made her heart aches. “Luna, the food has been served and your father, The old Alpha said you must be present for the diner because there is someone he wants you to meet.” Her personal maid informed.
She lifted her head and nodded. She has been eating in her room alone or sometimes her mother joins her but today, she guess everyone has to see how of a mess she has became.
She changed into an almost free jeans with a shirt before looking at her face in the mirror trying to force out a smile. She would not have their guest thinking if she was wronged or something. Her family always holds a good impression of their guests.
Walking slowly to the dining room, she thought about how her life has changed in a matter of few days. Her face has changed to something and her weight was dropping drastically.
“Hey sis. What are you thinking about?” A heavy, hoarse voice said bumping into her and she jumped in fear. “It is me Lizzy, It is me Nathan.” He announced hugging her.
She looked terrified and ugly with her under eyes bags but he couldn’t say that to her because it will make her feel sad and he hates saying her crying or being sad.
They walked hand in hand to the dining room and all eyes fell on them. They became the center of attraction there. “Have a seat.” Their father motioned, taking a sip of his wine.
Apart from being an Alpha, their father had a vineyard that he loves dearly. It was on to him by his father and did everything to protect it from the evil eyes of other packs. They had been attacked countless times but the opposition packs never had a chance to bring them down.
“Thank you.” She mumbled before taking her usual seat which was close to Nathan. They always say close to each other as long as they are together. “Here, have this.” Their mother said passing her a bowl of Mac and cheese.
She nodded her head as a sign of thank you before she dug into her food, her heaven and also her peace. She would do anything to never miss it.
She wondered which guests they were having because the dining room was almost empty with no guest except them and the kitchen maids.
But instead of asking, she kept mute and continued digging into her food. She has strength to ask about people she doesn’t even know about or maybe have never seen.
“Lizzy, my dear. How does it feels to start learning about how to be a proper Luna?” Their father questioned.
She lifted her hazelnut eyes to meet his. She sighed inwardly before thinking of an answer to give him, maybe it will even change his mind. “ I am still trying pull it off but it is not easy. I miss my friends and also my teachers.” She wasn’t able to continue talking because they were interrupted by the guard.
“The Luna from kings packs has arrived for the diner and will be able in.” He announced bowing.
“Kings pack? Who the hell are they?” She muttered under her breath. “Did you say anything Lizzy?” Nathan asked when he saw her lips were moving slowly.
“Nothing Nat, I’m fine.” She replied, faking a smile. But deep down, she wants to know whether the Luna from the so called kings packs is her brother’s mate.
The thought alone made her cringed, okay she loves being with Nathan and would be angry if he was to leave the house to his new home. She will be anything more than sad hand she hates being said always.
The Luna from the kings pack walked in majestically, until like Lizzy she was wearing a simple dress. Lizzy couldn’t help but admit how beautiful and adorable the lady looked and If she was the Alpha’s daughter or a lesbian then she would have do her.
“Thank you for inviting me and my beta to the diner, we really honored and we appreciate it.” She said adding a bow at the end in a ladylike manner before taking her seat.
“You are welcome Luna.” Nathan replied earning a burning glare from his father.
It made him chuckled, his father was acting like a child deprived from his candy. “ this is my mother,the ex Luna. My father, the ex Alpha and also my baby sister, Lizzy.” He introduced pointing at each one of them.
“Nice to meet you, I am Aliyah, the last descendants of the kings pack. And this is my beta, Favor.” Favor flashed them a smile before they decided it was best for them to eat first before they get to business.
It only took Lizzy three minutes to finish her food and also wants to leave the dining room but it will sound not polite and her father will be so mad at her for doing such a thing.
He will rant and rant about her not giving the proper respect the guest deserves. He had done it once when his friend, the Alpha of the silver pack came to visit and she was then finding their conversation boring so she snuggled out of the room without everyone noticing.
She got an earful for doing that, and since then she has never tried something like that again. She loves her peace of mind more.
