GIA:
Should I leave Beta Hector or not?
My heartbeat was wildly against my ribcage as I controlled to turn it down. But no matter what I do, I just don't want to…
'You run away!’ my wolf demanded, but the stubborn part of me did not want to listen. I mean, why would I waste this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of being with the beta alone? Where could he now see me face to face? ‘Our mate already warned you and you’re not listening to him!’
'Why would I?’ I retorted. 'This is my only chance to be with Beta Hector and tell him how I feel. There is no way I would chicken out.’
'Gia. There is something wrong with the beta. You have to stay out of his way!’ my wolf ordered.
'No. The beta is kind!’
'Delusional. I won't be helping you if something happens to you. You need to learn your lesson the hard way.’
And my wolf was out of reach. She was always like that. When something was out of her control, she would disappear and would only appear when everything was back to normal.
“Are you scared of me after what the alpha said earlier? Do not worry. You are safe when you are with me, okay?” Beta Hector asked, chuckling as we made our way to someone's room. No. I was already quite familiar with it. I was quite well accustomed to the room where I already had an idea where we were headed—the room where he usually brought his women. “Don’t listen to him. He was only joking.”
It was not a joke to me.
Did this mean that I would become one of his women?
‘The beta would likely forget you after this while our mate? Alpha Alexander will never forget us.’
'Shut up. I'm not asking you.’
“Why would I get scared of you, Beta Hector?” I asked, forcing a laugh. “I've seen you before.” observed you and loved you from afar. “I also don’t believe that you’re a bad man.”
“Good. I thought you're scared of me.”
“Why would I? I felt…important actually. You sacrificed your time for me even if you don't know me.”
“We can know each other after.” We stopped at the forbidden door and entered. “I hope…you will not get scared of me.”
My throat went dry as I struggled to comprehend what was happening right now. I mean…was this really real? Was the beta of the pack some heat taking me on a date?
“Why would I get scared of you?”
He smiled wryly. “You're a beautiful woman, you know that? How come I haven't noticed you? What pack are you from?”
My heart thumped wildly. “Pack? Does being in a pack matter now? Isn't it more important that we know each other? Face to face” I asked.
He smiled and grabbed my hand. “You're a smart woman. I like it.” Using his fingertips, he brushed my cheeks.
A shiver ran down my spine.
If my wolf didn't run away, she would be baring her fangs at me. I mean why did she not like the beta? He was one of the kindest people I know.
“I like you too…I mean I like it too,” I corrected myself, not liking to scare him off. His eyes darted to my breast. It was not that big. In fact, they were small, but I was still proud of them.
“You like me too?” He asked.
I shook my head a couple of times. “I did not say that. I said, I like being smart too.”
His hands moved. From my arms down to my hips.
My throat went dry.
What was happening was no longer part of the plan. I was about to confess, not entering the room with him. The least I wanted was to give myself to the beta. But how did it happen like that?
‘I told you, but you won’t listen to me!’ my wolf responded.
‘Okay. I’m sorry. I did not listen to you.’
The beta’s hands rested on my lips while he had a goofy expression on his face.
A shiver ran down my spine.
“I…I think there’s a big misunderstanding here, Beta Hector,” I said and grabbed his hand away from me. “This is not what I like.”
“This is not what you like?” he asked, chuckling. “How come this is not what you like when you perfectly said earlier you’re treating yourself as your gift to me?”
I gulped.
“T-That’s only a joke, Beta Hector. I…I came here to talk to you and spend the rest of the night talking.”
“Talk? Are you serious right now? You want me to talk to you while I leave my guests at the Grand Hall? All you wanted is to talk?” He scoffed. “Do you think I would buy that bullshit?” he inquired, raising his voice.
The hairs on my hands raise. Suddenly, it looked like he was no longer the beta I liked but someone whom I did not know.
The image of the prince I was picturing of him was suddenly gone and was replaced by something I did not know.
“You're scaring me, Beta Hector,” I said. I was about to go out of the room, but he suddenly blocked it.
My heart thumped wildly against my ribcage.
“What are you doing, Beta.”
He sniffed the air and looked at me intently. “I suddenly remembered who you are.”
My heart skipped a beat. “N-no, you don't.”
“You were the omega of the pack.” He snorted. “And you have the audacity to fool your beta making me believe you were from another pack?”
“I…I never said I was from the other pack, Beta Hector.”
He smiled evilly. “I was right. You were the omega of the pack. You dare to fool me? Why? Because you hope that you will make someone fall for you?”
I backed away when he advanced towards me. “That was never my intention, beta Hector.” Well, it was my Mom’s intention but never mine. I won’t be using anyone to my advantage.
“Liar. Omega’s like you are like that. How about it? You give yourself to me and I will give you land away from this pack and leave there?”
“Are you trying to give me a life or are you only trying to drive me away after you forced yourself on me?” The man whom I adored so much was suddenly gone in my head and was replaced by a monster. Actually, there were rumors about the beta taking advantage of the women, but I never believed them. I won’t believe them because I was drowning in my own fantasies and never believed any of it. Until now…
“I get what I want,” he murmured.
I yelped when I fell on the bed. And using that opportunity, Beta Hector jumped on top of me.
“Now, let’s see what you’ve got in here.”
Fear that I had not experienced before wrapped around my body. And no matter what I do, I just cannot remove it.
“B-Beta…please don’t do this.”
“Do what?” he asked, and sniffed my body. “Hmm. You are an omega but you smelled so good. It makes me want even more of you.”
Tears simmered my eyes as I struggled to get him off from me. But he was too strong.
“Please don't do this, Beta Hector. I am not worth it.”
I should have listened to Alpha Alexander. He knew this was about to happen and I did not listen to him.
“You are worth it. You're beautiful and hot. Who would have thought the pack is housing a beauty like you?”
I felt sick all over. His skin against mine was like needles being pricked on me.
“Let me go, please?” I begged.
He shook his head. “Not until I get to taste you first,” he said and dunked his lips into mine.
‘Alpha Alexander!’
