CHAPTER 8

Sky POV

I woke up very energized, I haven't slept so good in forever. I looked at the clock one the nightstand, 7:15 a.m. I went to the bathroom to take a much needed shower. The warm water was so good, it relaxed my tense body. After drying my self, wearing my clothes and putting my hair in a messy bun, I exited my room and closed the door quietly after me, I started heading towards the stairs.

Well now Skylar how are you going to find the kitchen. This house is HUGE, with all this halls and corridors it's a maze not a house. I was so concentrated in trying to find my way to the kitchen that I didn't hear the opening of a door and me being a lucky girl, I bumped into it, face first. "Ouch! My nose" I could hear someone chuckling. "Oh sorry, I didn't see you there" I could see a hint of amusement in Justin's eyes. Just as he finished his sentence a door at his left opened and relieved a still sleepy Dustin. "Oh hey good morning Skylar! Did you sleep well? And why are you clutching your nose?" He asked with confused eyes. "Good morning to you too, it was the best sleep I had thank you!" I answered giving him a warm smile. "As for my nose, I was too deep in thought trying to find the kitchen that I didn't see the door opening and I bumped into it" so much for having enhanced senses, this is so embarrassing. I could hear Notte's laughter in my head. "Ha ha ha. Keep laughing it's also your fault for not alerting me" I said sarcastically to her with a roll of my eyes but I couldn't help the smile that formed on my lips.

"Well since we too are going to the kitchen you could come with us" Justin told me and then we started walking while talking about random things. I felt good with them, they were funny and nice. When we reached the kitchen there were some people already eating breakfast. Sitting around the kitchen table were Damian, Cody, Trevor with Lisa on his laps, next to him was a pregnant and beautiful girl with long light blonde hair and blue eyes. Next to her was another beautiful girl with shoulders length red hair and amazing chimera eyes, the left one green and the right one brown. It looks like this pack has a lot of model material members. "Good morning guys! How did you sleep Skylar?" As Damian said my name, Cody lifted his head from the bowl of cereals and came running to me, I bent down and hugged him to me then I stood up with him in my arms. "Good morning Skylar!!" He smiled showing his cute dimples. "Good morning little buddy" I said smiling at him then I turned my head to look at the others who were smiling at our interaction. "Good morning everyone and yes thank you it was the best sleep" "I am glad to hear that, come have breakfast with us you are probably hungry" at that my stomach made it appearance growling making it obvious that indeed I was hungry. I could feel heat going to my cheeks making them red as tomatoes while everybody laughed at me. "Come sit next with us and have something to eat before you decide to eat us all" Dustin said smirking at me and I just glared at him playfully.

I sat between the twins and Damian put a plate full with bacon, eggs, some French toast and an orange juice. Ehmmmm the smell was delicious, the taste was even better everything was cooked perfectly, it melted in my mouth. Sitting here eating this delicious food with amazing people chatting and laughing made my eyes water. I have never felt so welcomed, I know I've just met them but I already feel connected to them. Now I understand the saying «Family is not defined by blood but by the love in your hearts »

"So you are the famous Skylar that Cody and Lisa didn't stop talking about. It's nice finally meeting you, my name is Juliet" the one with red hair said with a big smile. "And my name is Emily, Trevor's mate. I am so happy to finally meet the girl that saved my little Lisa, thank you very much" said the pregnant girl with a warm smile. "The pleasure is all mine and you are welcome" "So tell us about yourself, how come a very nice and beautiful girl like your self live alone in the forest?" Juliet asked me with her eyes shining with curiosity, then she continued "To be honest I already saw you coming in my vision but it wasn't very clear all I could feel was heartbreak and pain, but also you were radiating power and the moon was shining upon you making you glow" At that I could feel my eyes open wide and my mouth open in shock. I mean how did she know that, she said vision what did she mean by that? Sensing my confusion and shock, she added "Oh sorry I must have confused you. Well I am an Oracle and sometimes I receive visions from the moon Goddess about the past or the future" Well that explains a lot of things.

An Oracle, I didn't know they existed, well I didn't know a lot of things, my knowledge of our species and the others were very limited. I wasn't permitted to take part of my old pack meetings and I was denied to enter the Alpha's office where all the books were. Maybe I could ask Damian to let me see some werewolf books so I could have an idea of what my tattoo means and my ability. I proceeded to tell them everything about how I was treated, the rejection, running away, shifting, finding the tattoo and the clothes that appeared from nowhere. While telling them my story they looked at me with sadness but also awe and pride. "I am so sorry you had to experience all of that pain. But I can see that it made you strong and it makes me proud of you. Being able to go through a rejection and a shift without your mate there to help is nearly impossible, a lot of rejected wolf kill them self or they grow weaker until they lose their wolf. But you are special and strong" Damian said with a warm smile and pride shining in his eyes and also something else I couldn't read, it made me feel all warm inside and the Vulcano to reappear inside my stomach.

"As for your tattoo and ability I don't know very much, I mean I've read about wolf with gifts but it's seems there haven't been any wolf like that in years. I could show you to our library it's full of books about supernatural and a lot of other subjects maybe you could find something there" "I'd love to, thank you for helping me" "As for now, me and you should start heading out. We have a full day of shopping to do. I know you have that fantastic ability but a girl needs a wardrobe full of clothes and accessories" Juliet said smirking and giving me a wink, then she came and crossed her arm with mine and dragged me with her. "Bye Guys, see you later!" "Bye. Have a nice day".

After saying our good byes we were in a very big garage with beautiful and expensive cars. Juliet took a car key and headed to a wonderful red Lamborghini. We sat in the car and she begun to drive. Maybe I could ask someone to teach me how to drive. "So you said you have never gone to school?" "Nope never, but I have already graduated and I am taking law courses now" The look on her face made me laugh, she looked like a fish opening and closing her mouth without any sound and eyes wide. "Lucky you, I want to graduate early too. I mean I know school gives us the possibility to meet our friends and get to know new people, but all the stress and homeworks and exams are too much to handle. Ooh and not forgetting all the drama and the nasty girls and players and jocks" We talked a bit more about school, well it was more like she talked about school because as you know I've never been to any. Then we talked about random things. I discovered that she was my same age 4 months older. She still didn't found her mate, she has a big sister that lives in her mate's pack, she is very nice and lively, she loves being an Oracle and she has been one since she turned sixteen. She told me that her visions are still incomplete and she still can't decide when to have a vision, so she need to train with them to become a perfect Oracle that can see ones past or future whenever she wants, and for the visions to be more complete like watching a movie without holes.

After driving for a little while we arrived at the mall in the human territory, we went inside every shop buying anything and everything, jeans, sweat pants, tank tops, shirts, dress, sweatshirt, shorts, underwear, sports bra, some accessories, some girls necessities like shampoo, shower gel, make ups, pads... We also bought an iPhone 7. I liked this experience, it was new to me but after 3 hours I was so much tired I just wanted to go back home. I couldn't understand how Juliet had still so much energy and could keep going from shop to shop. After convincing her that everything I needed we already bought it and there wasn't anything else that I wanted, we went to McDonald's to eat something because it was already lunch time. The food was amazing especially the sauces. After finishing we got inside the car and started driving. "Could you stop the car when we reach the forest? I need to go get my laptop that I left in the cave" I asked her looking out the window at the passing scenery. "Yeah, of course. But only if you let me come with you, I would like to see this waterfall. Maybe we all could go there and have some picnic and swim in the lake. When we got there I took my laptop and Juliet took some pictures of the waterfall and the cave to show them to the others. Then we got back to the car and headed home.

Home. I finally found a place I could call home, with people that care for me and I care for.
