PROLOGUE
My name is Skylar James and I am a werewolf, shocking right? Of course human doesn't know about our existence nor that of the vampires. Werewolf and vampires are the last supernatural being alive on earth before there were also mermaids, fairies, witches and dragons but they were eliminated one after the other by the hunters. Hunters are a group of human with strength equal to that of supernatural beings, at first they were created to keep order between humans and supernatural and protect them from rogues but they started to want more power and they didn't want other powerful spices living with them. Anyway turning back to introducing my self, I am the third and last daughter of the beta family, my dad is the beta of the Dark Moon pack and the second in command while the Alpha is the first, I have a big brother ,Christopher, who is next in line for the beta position, he is 18 years old and an older sister, Cindy, who is 17 years. As for me I will be 16 years old tomorrow, 16 is the age where werewolf finally shift and can find their mate. A mate is like a soulmate someone fated to be your other half, someone who will love you unconditionally and cherich you and protect you. I have been waiting my whole life to find my mate and save me from this hell, why hell you may ask, well let me tell that I have been hated, abused, bullied and noone from this pack has ever cared for me since my birth just because I was born with a dangerous and powerful aura. Even my own parents and siblings torture me, they want me weak by beating me and not giving me food so I would never challenge them, but I never had the thought of challenging anyone or hurting them. The only one that care for me and love me is my wolf Notte, she is amazing and I love her with all my heart without her I don't think I would have survived all this years of abuse. I have been able to hear and communicate with her since forever and that is unusual because normally you start communicating with your wolf when you shift for the first time. Nobody of my pack know about my wolf and I want it to stay like that because they don't deserve to know, they always look at me with hate and disgust but also with fear and it seems I could see their fear even if they try to hide it, even the almighty alpha, cough sarcasm cough, has a bit of fear in his eyes but I don't know why I never hurted anyone and even if I wanted I couldn't because I was too weak. And this is how my life has been for the past 16 years, you would ask why I didn't run away, I tried I really did but because of my weak state they could easily catch me and I was punished severally for attempting to run away and I still have the scars to prove that.
