My Rebirth as an alien Queen

Episode 47-stuck between two hard options.

“They are literally all over the place” Claire breathlessly told me and I heaved a heavy sigh.

“How long does it take to contact the ship?” I turned to Hero who had been trying to contact the Ghafil headquarters located on earth for emergency evacuation.

“They said it’s gonna take 20mins” Hero sounded as frustrated as I am.

“And where the f**k is Barb?” I gritted harshly moving to the end of the hallway to peak down to the end of the stairs and into the sitting room. And there was Barb whooping everyone’s a*s and protecting my family, her hand had formed into a long sharp short sword.

“Barb, you can’t go around killing everybody” I reprimanded glad Nicholas had charged her up for me; I wouldn’t have to worry about her running down anytime soon.

“They hurt your brother” I frowned turning to Charlie whose cheek was terribly swollen, his left right had a shade of dark red making it obvious he had taken a blow or two on that.

“They didn’t just come for me, they’ll do anything it takes to get and that involves all of you in danger if possible…I don’t think it’s safe for you to be here as well” I saw panic took over my parents face and I sighed, suddenly my body started to tense and I felt an immeasurable amount of anger, all of a sudden.

“We are in danger, I can feel it” Hero groaned hands slowly clenching as a glow started from his heart.

“Hero?” I called out to him with a quizzical look on my face as I had no idea what was happening.

“Don’t worry, I’m fine, everything would be fine, just give me some seconds” That was all I heard before I found myself back on the bed with him still trapping me under him and him smiling at me.

“You aren’t planning on hurting humans are you?” I questioned Hero after suddenly concluding in my head our earlier conversation meant he might have to hurt humans if he had to, but he looked weak and pale.

“Hero-

“Listen Claire, I’m so exhausted right now for rewinding time a little. We have to get out of here, I have a feeling the humans are slowly surrounding the house and will soon storm in, they had already stormed in when and hurt your brother before I rewind the time, so we are leaving now" Hero sputtered in a hurry as he moved to put on the clothes he had abandoned the first time. I quickly put on some pants as well and headed outside to see Barb situated in front of our room as an order from Hero I guess.

“Barb, search the perimeters and anything from a mile away, also I want you to get a message to the headquarters to come get me and the queen right now, make sure you indicate the urgency and the emergency. We need to get out of here” Hero instructed but staggered as he tried to walk out. The time manipulation must have really taken a toll on him.

“Claire, go tell your brother that someone is gonna barge into the house to look for you, tell him not to stop them” I nodded immediately and headed down to the visitors room to meet Charlie and Tanya getting down to it, Tanya was moaning on top of her voice and I kept wondering why anyone wasn’t hearing from upstairs.

“Claire what the f**k!” Charlie sounded pissed at my presence quickly getting off Tanya and making sure they were safely secured by the warm covers.

“I’m so sorry but the house is about to be stormed by some men that’ll come looking for me, if they tried searching the house let them…we are leaving now…I love you so much Charlie” I hastily relayed hurrying back to Hero who was still looking kinda pale. Barb had all our stuffs in a duffle bag and I’m guessing Hero had her to clean up everything that could lead those people to us.

“The CCTV at the opposite street to yours picked three camo trucks and three black SUVs heading here…my sensors is also picking up an unknown signal from the atmosphere” Barb relayed and Hero let out a sigh of relief.

I hurried down to Claire’s room, she was just getting up from bed, I guess this is where she head towards the stairs and saw what was about to happen.

“I might need to use the secret passageway in your room Claire, they are here for us, cover the deck when we are gone and make sure you haven’t seen me” I said rushing down to deck that lead down to the basement, the dust was choking and I could feel lungs hot, but I didn’t have time to dwell on the pain, I grab Hero’s hand and lead him through to the garage where we managed to leave through the back door.

“This way” Barb led us down an alleyway of the building behind our house and soon a light shine down from up and I exhaled extremely glad our ride had arrived, an elevator appeared down on the floor and we quickly hurried in, in a terribly fast motion the elevator float up and before we know it we were in the ship. The group of Ghafils around to welcome us bowed their head in a proper Ghafil style as courtesy.

“Take us to the hidden camp and give me the full reports and development on the evacuation plans” Hero ordered in Ghafilan to the head of the ship crew who was the one that immediately raised his head while others still had their bows.

“Yes my liege” He replied with a slight nod.

“Great” Hero was able to perfectly mask his exhaustion and tiredness in a perfect way that astounded me but I didn’t say a word I just followed him as he managed to make a normal work while heading to a classy room in the ship, designed to look like a hotel suite. Hero groaned after he slowly sat on the bed.

“How do you feel?” I questioned guessing he was in serious pain for doing something that exhausted his power that much.

“Terrible, I feel drained…exhausted” He breathed roughly.

“If that consumed so much energy why did you do it?” I asked moving to sit next to him, then he lowered his head to my shoulders.

“Your family could get into trouble and things might get very complicated, I’m sure they are all still shocked about what’s going on, it was just too unexpected. I still had a tiny hope that since you were caught there the first time, they might not head there to look for you again so I thought we were safe, at least for the night. Turns out I was wrong; I shouldn’t have returned you back there, it was my entire fault” I didn’t like Hero blaming himself for something that I actually started.

“No it wasn’t…you only did what you thought was right. It was my fault…I shouldn’t have came back-

“No, I shouldn’t have lied to you, this whole thing wouldn’t have happened if I didn’t act so selfish and lied to you” Hero exhaled heavily and I held his hand wanting to soothe him in every way I could.

“Your majesty-

“Come in” Hero immediately granted permission to the ship chief to step into our room since it appears he had important matters to deal with.

“Report” Hero urged on and the chief nodded.

“As of last year over 2million Ghafils had chosen to stay here on earth and the population had increased to 2.5 over the months following afterwards…but due to the sudden emergency evacuation notice, only 1.5 million had been successfully transported to the secret base camp ready to evacuate-

“So you’re telling me a million of our people are still here with no intentions to evacuate or what?” Hero frowned.

“No, the evacuation notice came as a shock to everyone and it’s taking time to wrap things up-

“How long is it going to take?” Hero interrupted the chief again.

“Two days at least-

“Make it one…we don’t have much time” Hero insisted.

“My liege, thousands of our people already set their lives here and live peacefully here…asking them to just leave-

“Why don’t you send this warning to all of them…they all have one day to get to the secret camp and set to leave earth, if not they will be abandoned and they will no longer be under our responsibility to protect and carter for them…whatever they face afterwards will be solely on them, the royal family have done all it could-

“My liege, they all want to be protected from human’s inhumane treatment towards them but they need more time-

“We don’t have that much time to spare…I would not be risking the life of the other 1.5 million to save a million more…we might end up losing all of them sacrifices have to be made…it’s something you all still haven’t understand. I cannot jeopardize the lives of other Rhafils to save more-

“Hero” I called calmly and his eyes darted up to meet mine.

“We could delay a bit more-

“It’s only a matter of time before we are spotted Claire, if that happens we might have to fight off humans” Hero declared and it dawned on me why he was willing to abandon a million of his people on earth…he didn’t want to have to face the humans, because of me…even I’m in a tight situation.
