Several people stood up from their tables to look at the woman, who stared at everyone with a wild look in her eyes. Deon had turned around in his seat to see what was going on at the front door. Lizzie stared over his shoulder at the woman.
The server walked up to her and asked, “Are you okay, Ma’am? What’s going on?”
Just then, an enormous canine jumped up against the glass door, causing everyone to gasp and yelp in surprise. It peered inside, then ran away.
