Six years later: A new year of school part 1

Dead leaves were scattered and spread by the wind, the delicate flowers interacting with the light yet powerful wind, the tree branches were silently enjoying the ever glow of the animals. The birds chirped at dawn time, they were accustomed to this way of life, as they had spent most of their lives in the surroundings of the academy, the silence was interrupted by the rumbling of carriages, the chattering of children, neighing by horses. A new year had begun. It was the welcoming of new students, teachers and maybe even some new pets, if the students were lucky enough to survive the first year of the academy. Cirano royal academy, had been the only respectable academy to exist, as the school never belittled the commoners, even if they did, it showed the commoners the way to express themselves and to know. What must be said and what must be done, were two completely different things, as this was the first lesson taught to every student, in each year as they had begun school. The years had been divided into ten years, unlike most schools which began in the first year and ended in the sixth year of school, but those schools required extra money, for the purchasing of legal work and not to be closed down or permanently lose the money, smuggled from innocent and unsuspecting parents. It was also a way for the students to be more independent, as after the fifth year, all students were required to live in school and cut off ties from their homes temporarily, to get the basic knowledge and grasp of the world, if they were to live in the real world without using the connections of their parents. The students were wishing their families and saying their first goodbyes. The first years were most certainly the loudest out of every other year, as they were given the freedom to be sent home, but some first years were rather unique from the rest, as they were clearly not looking at their parents or waving them goodbye. “So Draky, you went to school alone?” Lucia was poking Drake’s forehead, as he was masking in the sun’s majestic glow, as he hummed to himself, purposely avoiding Lucia’s question, it sounded stupid coming from her. He wanted to enjoy the freedom of being left alone in the sixth year, which would be next year, secluded from the suffocating stares of the servants of the Hellever palace, it would be better if they gave all the suffocating glances to themselves, since they all hated each other that well. Drake was treated differently, for some other reason. He wasn’t sure of, nor either aware of, as he, Rico and Christa moved to the Hellever palace, after the attempted assassination of King Clover, and it was before Rico’s Coronation as King of Hellever and Rico’s and Christa’s wedding. After he was introduced to the system, it was a word used mostly by Christa. He noticed the difference between his system and others' system. He could clearly see the other systems, and they could see theirs and show them to everyone, but Drake’s system was designed specifically for him to see. It was quite intriguing to watch, as he slowly leveled up over the six years, but the treatment he received from Rico’s mother, Roxanne Timberline, wasn’t welcoming as Rico, even if he wasn’t welcoming him, in the normal way. From Drake’s perspective, Roxanne wasn’t like most of the females he had seen over his years on Glath. He already found out about not belonging in their world, and was slowly remembering his past life, before being taken from his original world. He didn’t question Rico nor Christa, as he was sure, they wouldn’t gain anything materialistic, from taking his from his home. Drake was more focused on Sebastian, Rico’s, and Christa’s three-year-old son. Drake once had a younger brother, who was clearly ashamed to be related to him, but Sebastian was more willing to follow Drake, even if he didn’t want him around, as he was scared when Christa was pregnant, he hid from her and Rico’s vision, over the past seven months, but he showed he needed time, to process the fact, he was going to be an elder brother, and he wasn’t ready to mess up again. Drake avoided the couple, until Christa’s water broke, and she was in labor. He was the one who spotted the flowing liquid from her gown, he screamed out, grabbing the attention of every servant of the palace, immediately rushing to her room, while the royal doctor was tending to Christa in her hour of pain, as she went through labor. Rico had appeared two hours before Sebastian was born, he was in a rush, as his smooth hair was messy, flying in every direction and his normal bored look, was replaced with concern and worry. Drake had never ever seen Rico worried, but that very moment was a special moment, as both males weren’t in their right states of mind. “It’s my fault, I left her alone, in such a state.” It was surprising that Rico was apologizing, but he was desperate, in such an hour, each moment that passed was filled with the sounds of the clock ticking, but males avoided each other’s look, until they jumped in surprise, as a wail was heard from Christa’s room, a maid came out from the room. “Congratulations my king, the queen has given birth to a healthy bouncy baby boy.” The maid had bowed and smiled professionally, bringing Rico, while dragging Drake with him, reaching the bed, as the lights were dimmed, to not startle both mother and child. As they were resting on each other, Christa noticed Rico’s and Drake’s faces and smiled brightly at them. She was really excited. Rico brought his hands forward, slowly taking the baby, but noticing how he was about to be separated from his mother, he started to cry, but Drake’s experience told him to carry the baby from Rico. “Be careful with him, Rico, he is still a bit sensitive about being separated from mom.” He was so busy scolding Rico, that he didn’t notice the baby was giggling, but Jade noticed and told him. {Drake, he is giggling.} He noticed she was right, while she scoffed at him. ‘What am I supposed to do now?’ All he got was silence from her, ‘Jade.’ but all he got from her was laughter, while Christa and Rico were holding each other’s arms and thinking of a name for their little prince. “I think his name should be Sebastian.” They were shocked that, Drake decided to pitch in, but Christa snuggled into Rico’s arms and said “Yes, it’s perfect, his name from his favorite brother.” Ever since Sebastian’s birth, Drake’s schedule had been extra occupied from taking care of Sebastian and secretly training with his system, but he did receive help from Seth and Daniel, as he occasionally joined their training, every time Christa, Sebastian and him would visit Glath, while Rico was busy attending to his duties. “Drake, Daniel is here.” Lucia had woken Drake up from his sleep and pointed to Daniel, who was rolling on the grass and screaming about being free from Seth’s training in the next year. {Another person who is also eager for freedom.} ‘He is quite understandable, as we are both in similar situations.’ “Boys, we are going to be late for class, if you both continue to laze around the garden.” She dragged both males by their hands and increased her speed with frist, to go even faster, and to reach class before the last bell would ring.
