The truth part 1
Franbel was the eldest son of the loving William couple, who died in a car accident at the age of five. He had everything that anyone could possibly have. He had the brain and wealth, he was smart, but only book smart and was dumb when it comes to making life decisions that didn’t deal with the course he took in high school or his university. Six years later, the family lawyer, Mr John, came to announce the will of the late William couple and started announcing the share of property among the family members. A man wearing green pants with black linings around the edge of his pants and a green jacket worn over a black shirt with a green vest, his blonde hair was slicked back, his green eyes looked sharp as he sat down and stared at the people in front of him. "According to the will of the late Mr and Mrs. Fabian William, Franbel would inherit the property after becoming twenty-three years old, which our city viewed as being of the legal age to inherit anything." "But why, Mr John?" "I am a lawyer, not a law enforcer. Mrs. William," He responded, not wanting to speak anymore. "But what about Mandela?" The grandma spoke up. "He is barely nineteen years old, legal, yes, but not for everything. It's the way of Lock City." He shut her down. "Franbel can't inherit the property," Mandela abruptly interrupted, with Jessica by his side. "I agree," She said. Mr. John wanted nothing more to leave, as he might end up witnessing, a family drama. It seemed fun until they dragged you into matters by being a witness. Franbel looked up in surprise, as he wondered what was going on. Waiting, Franbel was already sitting next to her grandma and listening to the will. “Grandma, that isn’t Franbel, it is an impostor pretending to be him to claim mom and dad's property,” Mandela said, confusing the grandma and Franbel, both having no clue what was going on. “No, that is a lie, you are being fooled. Why would you think that I am not your brother, the brother that raised you and gave you the father’s love you always wanted? Since mom died a year after giving birth to you, please listen to me. I am not an impostor,” Franbel argued, Mr. John took this time to flee. Mandela was trembling when he was saying those words. He wanted to tell him, but Jessica gave him a nod, whispering in his ears “Don’t worry, I am here. Remember that this is for his own good, it will be over before you know it.” He got his courage back and stood up proud like he normally would. “Grandma, this is your grandson, my brother. He lost his memories during the accident that happened with his parents, my son and daughter-in-law. He and his dad went missing. He was adopted by a nice couple who lived near the forest and nurtured him to full strength. He grew up with the name Rico for those eighteen years,” He said, while tears ran down his eyes to his cheeks, as Rico walked in and quickly broke into tears, after he made eye contact with Mrs. William. “Grandma….. i..s that you?” Rico asked her. "Grandma, I missed you so much. I am so sorry ….fo…r…not being ab…le to be by your side all these….years I promise to make it up to you,” He continued. Mrs. William was crying at what Rico said she didn’t know who to believe now. They both sounded and looked the same to her, which was making it hard for her to think straight and make a reasonable decision, so she decided to go with a solution that would resolve everything. He finally decided to say that they should have a DNA test to prove who the original is and who the impostor was. The grandma called the family doctor, Mrs Smith, to conduct it to prevent a change in the results. “This might take three days. Until then, please wait for the results," She spoke calmly, before taking her leave. In the meantime, Rico was assigned a room, but he refused, quickly leaving, but was stopped by Franbel. ”In the next three days you had better start packing Rico. This is my home, not yours, and it will never be yours." “In the next day we shall see what the doctor has to say. After all, you are nothing but a fool who thinks he has won but has failed in the worst way possible. I am so happy I am not as gullible as you. If not, I would have been killed by my family a long time ago. When I mean my family, I mean yours," Rico retorted, quickly shutting him up. He sat down on the couch, ruffling his jet-black hair, squinting his left eye which was red, reminding Franbel of the eyes of his late mother. He didn't notice, it changed to an emerald color, differing from his other eye. Rather, he was focused on punching him, but he was too easy for Rico to read, as he caught the arm that he struck at him before twisting it, making Franbel groan in pain. Rico stood up and used his knee to hit him in the lower abdomen, making him cough out of blood. He didn't have time to remember as he punched him in the face, releasing his hold on him as he fell down to the ground. "I wasn’t even trying, yet you are already bleeding. How are you supposed to beat me if you are this weak? Then your family is going to kill you. Remember my words, they don’t care about you. The people who care for you are dead, and you know I mean your parents. Even your friends are your brother’s friends. Well, I have warned you it is time for me to leave. I will be back to check on those DNA results. Don’t be shocked by what you see, I shall be leaving. Take care of that." He walked away, not caring about Franbel, whose blood stained the ground.
