CHAPTER 12
“So? Are you ready for this?” Morgan asked as he took Angelo’s hand. They were standing in a large clearing at the top of a mountain. It was a little chilly but not bad, and there was no one around. Day had told them how to get here. He said it was his safe place to shift into his dragon and go for a flight whenever he needed to. Because of its height, the area rarely got anyone visiting. During the day a few hikers or climbers may come up here occasionally, but never at night.
“I’m scared. It’s been so long since I have had my phoenix, or flew. What if I can’t do it? What if I jump off the edge there and plummet to my death? That’s a f*****g long drop.”
