She looked at me and snapped her fingers, then disappeared. Where did she go? Will she come back? As the questions ran through my mind, Bryson took over, and we shifted.
We began to run through the pack but could not find her.
'Maya is here. FIND HER,' I said through the mind link.
'What do you mean?' Brody, her father, said.
'That storm by the school was Maya returning, but she snapped her fingers and disappeared. I can't find her.'
'Liv,' Brody said.
Why didn't I think of Liv? Those two were thick of thieves. I ran to the hospital, and as I arrived, Brody and my dad did too. We all shifted, and the hospital staff gave us shorts when we walked in.
