I couldn’t wait to see my mate today. I was up and early today. I didn’t even eat breakfast at home wanting to eat here with my mate. As I walk in the school I caught the sweet scent of strawberries and chocolate. It was my mate's sweet, intoxicating scent which I couldn;t get enough of. I follow her scent to her locker. I see her back is to me.

“Angel” I call but she doesn’t turn around. I heighten my senses and realize she’s listening to music. Today she’s wearing red and black multi pocket cargo pants with some chains on the side, I also wearing a short sleeve red shirt showing off part of her tattoo. For shoes she’s wearing knee high black boots with buckles on the side and her hair is loose. I put my hand on her shoulder and she jumps. When she turns around I can see that she’s looking for danger. When she sees it’s me she let's out a breath and takes off her headphones.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t meant to scare you” I told her.

“It’s okay. I was distracted. What’s up?” she asks.

“Nothing much. Did you already have breakfast?” I ask.

“Yes” she replied truthfully and I couldn’t help but feel disappointed.

“But I’m still hungry” she added and I felt my wolf wag his tail in happiness and I'm not going to lie, I was happy too.

“Let’s go to the cafeteria and have breakfast” I said grabbing her hand and gently pulling her to the cafeteria.

“By the way you look beautiful today” I says making her blush. We walk into the cafeteria and everyone stops talking and looks at us. A squeak leaves my mate’s lips and hid behind me. I growl lowly making all the werewolves go back to what they were doing and the humans followed. I pulled Angel to my table where sit with my sister and friends.

“Hey Angel” Trisha smiles.

“Hi Trisha. Hello everyone” my mate smiled at them. For some reason I can’t help but think that some of her smiles are forced except for that one time she gave a full blown smile.

“I’ll be right back with our food” I says. I grabbed two trays and put a egg, sausage and cheese on my mate’s tray and two on mine. I grab some fresh fruit and a Gatorade for the both of us. I pay for our food then head towards our table where I see Tara and her minions. s**t, this can’t be good.

“What’s going on here?” I ask setting a tray in front of my mate. I saw Tara narrow her eyes at the tray in front of my mate before she looked at me and gave me a smile.

“Nothing, I have a few things to do but I’ll see you later babe” Tara says. I’m going to have to have another talk with Tara. She’s not listening to her Alpha. I see my mate reaching in her backpack and take out some money and tries to hand it to me, but I shake my head.

“You’re not paying me back for this” I said and start to eat.

“I’m sure Colin would love for you to join us” Trisha says.

“To the barbeque?” I questioned and everyone at the table nodded.

“Yeah, I was going to ask you if you would like to come” I said, looking at my mate. She looks around feeling a little nervous.

‘Alpha, rogues have been spotted near the school’ Luis, one of my warriors, links me. I link my Betas and Gammas.

‘Rogues have been spotted near the school. Alondra and Jake, you’re with me. Ray and Manny, I want you to get some warriors and make sure no rogues get inside the school, but remember not to let humans see you.’

‘Yes, Alpha’ I got back from them.

“We have something to do, but I’ll see you later”, I rushed out and before I knew what I was doing I kissed my mate on her cheek, making her blush. So much for breakfast. I rushed out of the school and saw Mr. Guy, our engineering teacher.

“Alpha” Mr. Guy bows his head in respect. He’s also a werewolf and part of my pack.

“I’ve been meaning to talk to you, Mr. Guy” I said as we ran into the woods.

“About?” he asks.

“Miss. Sanders” I said, then continued “She’s my mate and your Luna. You will treat her with respect.” I can see him go completely pale.

“I’m sorry Alpha-”

“I don’t care about your apologies. Yesterday, I saw that you were discriminating against her because she’s a female. If I have any complaints about you discriminating against people because of their race, gender, or species, there will be consequences”, I assured him.

“Yes, Alpha” he said, bowing his head in submission and respect. I got my Alpha position when I turned eighteen. I had gotten all my credits and work done a few months after the semester started. I could have stayed home and do pack work, but I decided to stay there until I graduated. I still do my pack work but, while I’m here at school, my dads watches over the pack.

I caught the scent of the rogues. I quickly undress and shift into my black wolf. My wolf also has red tips on its ears and tail. Trisha’s wolf is red with black swirls markings all over her fur. Some of my warriors and I follow the scent of the rogues. It leads to the other side of town.

‘Spread out. I want to make sure they are away from the school and not turning back’ I linked them.

‘Yes, Alpha’, I got back. After almost three hours, we knew that the rogues weren’t coming back. I grabbed my clothes and ran as fast as I could to school. Before I got to school, I shifted and wore my clothes. I walked inside the school.

‘Rogues are gone. Everyone can go back to what they were doing’. I linked my pack members.

‘Yes, Alpha’ they replied through the link. I checked the cafeteria for my mate, knowing it was lunch time, but she wasn’t there. I walked out the cafeteria when I caught a few humans screaming ‘Fight’. I ran towards where the chanting was coming from only to be surprised at what I was seeing.

“You b***h” Tara growled, lunging at my mate and slapping her. My mate turned herself around, kicking Tara off of her. Tara hit the lockers hard. My mate grabbed Tara by her neck and began to punch her until I heard a crunch. I saw Karen run towards my mate and Tara, but my mate kicked Karen right in the chest, sending her flying a couple of feet. Trisha, my Betas, and Gammas are by my side.

“Impressive, she took on three werewolves and one of them is one of the best female warriors we have” Trisha says. It was impressive, but I needed to stop this before Tara, Karen or Ivory did a stupid thing and shifted in school in front of humans.

“What is going on here?” my voice boomed, making everyone stop. Karen and Ivory bowed their heads.

“Colin… baby” Tara coughed, clawing at my mate’s wrist.

“Angel”, I watched my mate shudder. I knew the bond between us was getting stronger.

“Angel, look at me kitten” I said. Her head snapped towards me. Somehow, I could feel the anger inside her. But when I saw the bruise forming on her face, I got angry myself.

“What happened to your face?” I asked, gently touching her face. She gasped at the sparks. Tara took this chance to scratch my mate’s neck, which pissed my mate off more, making my mate punch her in the face again. I was going to have to punish Tara and her minions for putting their hand on their Luna.

“Easy Kitten. Let her go please” I said softly. She held on to Tara’s neck for a few more seconds.

“I don’t like to be threatened and don’t ever put your hands on me” my mate said, then leaned in closer to Tara and said, “I’m not one to be f****d with.” The way she said it, low and I dare to say cold, sent, chills down my spine and by the way others shuddered I knew they felt it too. My mate let go of Tara and turned to me.

“I don’t like to be ordered around either”. That’s when I realized I had used my Alpha voice on her and I knew I had royally f****d up. I watched my mate grab her backpack and walk away from me.

“The show is over” I announced. All humans left, leaving only my pack members.

“Manny, get some guards to take Tara, Ivory, and Karen to the clinic and then to the pack house” I ordered.

“Yes, Alpha” Manny said. I took off running following my mate’s scent only for it to lead me outside. I knew Angel had left school and I knew I needed to apologise for what happened, but first I needed to deal with Tara and her minions.
