CHAPTER 10

HANNAH'S POV

Hardly had I slept when Lily woke me up. I woke up feeling happy since she was my best friend but then my mood had to change when I saw her standing next to Maddie.

Before she could offer an explanation, the girls poured water on my bed. I looked at Lily hoping that she was going to help me out but she didn't. Instead, she walked away with Maddie and this left my heart throbbing. How dare she do this to me? I thought that we made a pact a few hours earlier.

How could she afford to do this? Does this mean that she was in Maddie's team all along. I couldn't handle the betrayal. How come all my friends do this to me? Am I not a good person?

Tears streamed down my cheeks despite my efforts in fighting it back.

I had trusted her, I liked her but still that was not enough. She ended up betraying me.

No, I was never going to allow her to walk all over me like that.

My beddings was wet and therefore I could not sleep. I was freezing also because the water was too cold.

I carefully got out of bed and changed to warm clothing. After that, I went outside to sit by the garden till morning. I didn't have any other choice.

I was seated at the seat thinking about how my life is f****d up when I heard her voice. I quickly ignored her.

"Come on Hannah, you know that I am not behind what happened. That is Maddie's fault," She said, joining me on the space next to where I was seated but I walked away and sat on the other side. I didn't want anything to do with her.

"Come on, you know that I would never hurt you,"She said and I knew for a fact that I had heard enough of her pretence.

"Go away. I don't want to talk to you. The friendship that we had died when you decided to team up with my enemies," I told her because I had already made a decision. I was ending my friendship with Lily. I better be by myself than with a person who cannot be trusted.

"Come on, you can't do this," Lily went on her knees and I was perplexed. Not only is she a betrayer but also she is a great actress. For real, you can believe her lies if you are not smart enough to know that she is lying.

LILY'S POV

As I woke up with Maddie, my heart was heavy. I hated what they had done to her. I couldn't wait to go and apologise to her. I know that she is my best friend and she will surely believe that Maddie was behind all this. We all know for sure what Maddie is really capable of.

As soon as I was out of Maddie's radar, I went to look for Hannah. She was not in her bed obviously because it was wet. Where could she be? I looked around for her. I was looking for the woman I love. I want to be with her this time.

I saw her at the garden we both love chilling at and I went straight ahead to apologize. The look on her face when she saw me and listened to me showed me that she wanted nothing to do with me and this killed me.

No, I can't handle this type or rejection. Not from her. I love her, she is the only person I care about in the whole damn galaxy.

"Leave me alone," She insisted and I couldn't take it. I decided to risk it all and tell her what I feel for her.

"I love you, I love you Hannah, I can't leave you alone because of the love that I feel for you. Please understand. Maddie forced me to hurt you. I would never do that because I love you. I love you, I love you baby," I started crying after confessing my feelings to her.

"What! What did you just say?" She implored.
