Ella’s POV
*** Trigger Warning ****
I was so out of it that I didn’t know what was going on or even what day it was. I had no clue where we were even at. He kept me drugged most of the time. I was only awake enough to eat some food and then he would stab me with another needle and then it was lights out for me. I tried to fight him a couple of times, but I couldn’t do anything. It was all I could do to even eat some food when I had the chance.
This time when I woke up I was in the back seat and my hands were pinned behind my back and I could feel it was silver as it was burning my skin. My feet were also bound together but wasn’t sure with what yet because my socks protected my skin, but I am sure it was silver as well. I laid there, not making a sound. I didn’t want him to know I was awake yet. I didn’t know what he had planned for me, but I am sure that it wasn’t good.
I laid in the back trying to stay as quiet as possible, hoping that he would call someone or maybe talk to himself and give me a hint of what he had planned, but no such luck. The sun was setting as his car came to a stop. He parked somewhere and turned the car off and that’s when I heard another car pull up.
Korbin got out of the car and started talking to someone, but I had no clue who. I don’t know if this person had been with him the whole time or if he met him here. They walked away as soon as they started talking, so I wasn’t able to hear them anymore. I tried to sit up so that I could see who he was talking to, but I had been in this position for too long and was having a hard time moving. My arms were asleep and my legs hurt from not moving them, so I just laid there and waited.
After what felt like forever, I could hear them walking back over to the car. I closed my eyes and tried to slow my breathing, but I was to nervous to actually do that. The door where my feet were was pulled open and someone grabbed my ankles and jerked me out of the car. I let out a scream in shock and when I got a look at the man who pulled me out of the car; it was like looking at Korbin, only older and scarier. My legs were wobbly, and I was holding my breathing.
“Well, what do we have here?” This man said as he held one hand around me, keeping me upright and the other he ran over my cheek.
“Leave me alone,” I spat at him.
“Nice try, princess.” He said back and laughed as he dragged me away.
He took me over to a chair that was out and pushed me down in it. My arm was throbbing from how he dragged me over here. I couldn’t really walk with my legs tied together the way they were.
“What do you want from me?” I asked, looking to Korbin.
“That’s easy Princess. We want your mom and dad and when we’re done with them, we will kill you.” The Korbin look alike answered.
“Why?”
“Because I was thrown away like trash and you got everything that should have been mine. My father had to give up his pack and lose his Alpha rank because of your b***h of a mother and we’re going to take it back, starting with your parents.”
“You don’t know what you're talking about,” I screamed at Korbin. He came over to me and I could see the anger on his face and I could feel it through the mate bond.
They both laughed and walked away. I could hear them walking towards the cars. I still didn’t know what they had planned, but I knew at this point it wasn’t good. I sat there watching the sun go down. Korbin and what I am guessing is his biological father haven’t come back yet. I was confused because my parents told me that he was dead. They told Korbin this, and he didn’t say anything about it.
The sun had completely gone down, and it was getting cold out. I was starving. I don’t even know the last time I ate. I finally heard them walking back. I could smell the food they had with them and it made my mouth water and my stomach rumble loudly. I didn’t have high hopes that they would let me eat.
They both approached me and had a plate of food each and a chair each. They set their chairs up right in front of me and both sat down and started eating without saying a word. I don’t even know where they got the food. I never heard a car leave and I don’t remember smelling anything cooking. I got my answer a few seconds later when a third man walked up and placed a chair next to Korbin’ father. I knew instantly he was a witch. He had to have done something to either warm the food up or to make it appear. I didn’t really know how witches worked.
“Want some food?” Korbin asked as he shoved his mouth full of food, but I didn’t answer him and just stared straight ahead. This must have pissed him off because he spit his mouth full of food all over my face. I shook my head, trying to rid myself of the food. It worked a little and now I was trying to keep the tears away.
I had to pray that they have forgotten to contact my parents because I knew if they didn’t hear from for a certain time frame, they would come looking for me.
I hung my head and tried to hide my tears from them while they sat there laughing at me and eating their food. I heard someone get up from their chair, but I didn’t bother looking up. Which was a mistake because whoever it was came up behind me and grabbed my hair and ripped my head back and forced me to look up at the sky.
“You better pray to the moon goddess that she is on your side because we are not,” Korbins father said in my ear and then shoved me on the ground. I hit the ground and the rocks instantly dug into my ribs. I rolled onto my stomach to try to give myself some relief from the rocks.
“Tell us about your dad’s secret group of wolves that hunts down people?” The man who was a witch asked me.
“I don’t know what you're talking about?” I told them. I mean, I knew exactly what he was talking about, but I wasn’t about to tell him that.
“This is your one warning. Answer the question.” Korbins dad said.
“I really don’t know what you're talking about,” I told them again, trying to sound convincing. It didn’t matter what they did because I wouldn’t tell them. I couldn’t tell them. It was a supposed to be a secret and I wouldn’t ruin that for my dad. It was something he worked hard for and I wouldn’t ruin it for him.
A hard kick to my ribs had me sucking in a breath and holding it. It hurt so bad, but I couldn’t hold my breath any longer. I let it out in one quick release and sucked in small gulps of air while they just laughed.
“f*****g tell us,” Korbins dad screamed at me but I didn’t answer and the witch kicked me again and this time I felt my ribs crack. My vision became fuzzy and I couldn’t breathe now, it hurt too much.
All three of them stood around me, watching me struggle to breathe. Korbin was behind me and he pressed his boot down on my hand, pinning it between his boot and the rocks. He slowly applied more and more pressure. I couldn’t even feel any pain because the pain in my ribs was too much.
“We know your dad is on the council and we know he leads a group of men. Now tell us who those men are,” Korbin said, but I refused to answer. He lifted his boot off my hand but it was short-lived as he stomped down on my hand and I could feel it break. He didn’t stop there though as he continued to stomp on it. I started screaming after the third time, which made my ribs hurt even more.
All three were laughing again, but Korbin finally stopped. I just laid there and cried. Everything hurt so much and I just wanted it to stop, but I wouldn’t tell them what they wanted to know.
“Don’t worry princess, we’ve got all night if you're not ready to talk,” Korbins father said as he walked away with his witch friend.
Korbin brought his boot to my face and forced me to roll over onto my back. As much as I wanted to scream at the pressure on my hand now and the movement from my ribs but I was going to try as hard as I could to not give them that satisfaction.
“I highly suggest that you start speaking because you thought that was bad. You don’t want to know what else we have planned.”
“Never, just kill me because I won’t,” I told him, but it was a struggle.
“Suit yourself.”
“Why are you doing this? You’re my mate. I don’t understand how you can go against the bond like this.”
“Simple, Elias, over there is a witch, and he has given me a potion that blocks the bond for me. This way I am not clouded by the bond and it was so easy to hate you from the beginning, but the bond got in the way of that, but not anymore.”
“Why would you go against the moon goddess like this?”
“Because she has made so many mistakes. Some of her children are evil and we must take them out. Like your mother.”
“My mother was not evil. It was your father. He filled your head with lies. Nothing he has told you is true. You heard her side of the story. My dad had to rescue her. Do you think that he would just make that up?”
I could see the anger take over on his face and if I thought he was mad before, it was nothing compared to what I see and feel now. He continued to just stand over the top of me, breathing heavily. I closed my eyes, waiting for whatever was to come next, but it didn’t seem to come. When I opened my eyes again, he was still standing over me and still looking like the angry asshole that he was.
“Do it already, just kill me!” I screamed at him.
“Not happening.”
“Why too scared of feeling the pain when I die?”
He didn’t say anything, but what I had been waiting for finally came. He brought his boot up and smashed it into my face. I was able to move my head to the side so that it only came down on the side of my face and not the front, but it was lights out for me.
