Diana's (Iris') pov

I am behind a tree and shift in my human form again.

The waterfall's sound has already a calming effect on me but after what happened some time ago it feels not enough...

Hunter knows who I am and he is here with me, he has to know everything and so does Landon. They both deserve to know my whole story and understand why I don't want my real identity to be revealed.

I take my sport pair of trousers and my white top from the ground and put them on in hurry. My hands are shaking but I manage to make it quite quickly and when I am done I take a deep breath and get out from behind the tree.

My eyes meet Landon's worried ones and I lower my head embarrassed immediately, he already knows that Hunter is here, he took his scent.

"What happened?" he asks me sweating in agony and before I manage to reply Hunter comes next to me fully dressed with a pair of jeans and a black top.

"Iris?" Landon says again not knowing that he already knows and I sigh ready to cry.

Tell me whatever you want but it is too much, I wasn't planning it and telling my whole story is the most painful thing I have to do...

"There is no need to call her like this Landon. I just found out who she is." Hunter states seeing how nervous I am and Landon blinks his eyes shocked.

At least we have the same reactions...

"Are you okay? Calm down baby, let's sit over there..." Hunter tells me worried and wraps his arm around me protectively leading me to some rocks under a big oak and Landon joins us obviously nervous.

They both help me sit because at this point I am shaking like a leaf and they sit on my right and left side like my protectors.

Well, now that I am thinking about it better they are my protectors...

"Diana... Are you alright?" Landon asks me while caressing my back and I lift my head up and look at him ready to cry.

"Yeah, they were great fighters with experience and their help was necessary. I followed them, you saw me one of those days Landon but I was too young and scared and I was locked in my room all the time until... The third day when I decided to go for a walk at the garden and... I fell on Daniel." I explain and pause taking some deep breaths.

"And you found out that you were mates and he rejected you... The asshole!" Landon says through his teeth and Hunter jumps up surprised.

Her parents somehow knew and at their way back to their pack they took her in a forest and bitted her till death. They thought that she would die but after they left Gideon Black found her accidentally and fortunately managed to save her." He explains and I lift my head and pull back.

I turn and see Hunter shaking and his eyes gradually turn black, not that Landon is calmer... He already knows but he is mad.

"Aiden was right... He believes you are alive and they are lying because they are responsible..." Hunter growls and I nod clearing my throat.

"Yes, he told me... Anyway, after I woke up I told Gideon my story, I don't know how I trusted him that much but I did and he got mad... He just announced me that he was going to adopt me and told me about Iris, his daughter. We took it as a sign I guess and we decided to change her story and hide my identity for safety reasons... You both know what we said so I won't mention it again... Some days later he took me to England with him and the whole pack hugged me immediately. They all know what happened and loved me but my story doesn't stop there..." I say and pause more nervous than before.

"You told me that Daniel did more... That's what you mean?" Land asks me in frustration.

"Yes... Well, he did but without knowing it... My wolf talked to me again after three months, I was thinking she was dead but fortunately she wasn't and I got a bit better... So that period my uncle, the previous Alpha held a welcoming party for me as Iris and there I met... My second mate..."

I look deeply into his eyes and try to take a deep breath. Destiny seems much calmer than me and helps me a lot, she is purring and makes her presence stronger to give me her energy.

It helps, I manage to take some deep, slow breaths and my body's muscles relax, my heartbeat slows down and I don't feel so overwhelmed.

"Better?" Hunter asks worried and I nod timidly.

"Do you want to continue or not? It is fine with us." Land states.

"I can do it now... The worst part is over." I reply determinate and sit more comfortably.

It's about two hours after I came back with Landon and Hunter and I am lying on my bed trying to sleep but I can't so I decided to call and tell him what has happened all these days. "Are you sure you are okay? Do you want us to keep you some company?" Jeremy asks me while we are walking at the garden with Elias and Ellie.

"Yes, I will be fine and you are all tired. Especially Ellie, after two days in the forest she needs to sleep." I say and tap her back while she gives me a big smile.

As I am getting to know her better I like her even more. She is funny, logical, clever, I am sure that she is going to be a great Beta next to Jeremy and they seem very happy. I am excited for them.

I am walking in the corridor that leads to the dining room with Hunter next to me and it is the first time we are both so silent.

He is extremely angry and I am a bit dizzy after last night...

Last night was the worst night I had from the day I came at the palace and it's because of...

He was having s*x with Samantha, the whole palace could listen to them and I woke up because she was screaming his name.

"Good morning!" Derek says trying to break the deadly silence once he sees us and they all turn and lock their eyes on my hand in Hunter's.

A loud growl escapes from someone and we all turn and look at its direction to see...

"I am sorry Daniel, I delayed them!" Jeremy lies and passes by us with Ellie that gives me a discreet, meaningful look.

Fortunately I have the same sit I had and I am away from him and next to me on my left is Derek and on my right is Aiden and Hunter is opposite of me. Parker is at the end of the table and Ellie with Landon quite close to the head of it which means Daniel and this b***h's sits.

"I was informed from my Daniel about what happened to you Iris... I am so sorry, are you alright now?" the witch asks me with fake wary before we start eating and I do my best not to attack her.

"A big package came right now my King and it is for..."

"Me?!" Samantha exclaims excited and stands up.

"Daniel thank you so much baby! There was no need to!" she continues and gets ready to walk to the big, silver package with a black, satin ribbon that two servants are bringing inside.

"Um... I have no idea what do you mean." Daniel says confused making her freeze.

"I am sorry Miss Samantha but it's for Miss Iris. It has her name, a card and a letter for her." The servant quickly explains and I gasp.

Some wows from everyone follow and I feel my heartbeat rising as everyone's eyes fall on me.

"I... It must be a mistake, I expect nothing..." I say nervously.

"Miss Iris, it says it clearly. Iris Black! And they said that it is urgent." He says and Ellie claps her hands and run to the package.

She takes the card and opens it ready to read it without even asking me and I quickly stand up and walk to her with shaking legs.

"Give it to me!" I almost shout and manage to take the card from her hands before she reads his last name.

"Hey!" she protests and tries to take it back but I put it in my pocket and take the letter as well.

"None of us had..." the b***h murmurs but everyone ignores her.

"And who is this man honey?" Victoria asks me excited and I stiffen feeling Daniel's eyes on me.

Fortunately he doesn't say a thing and I turn to take the package a God knows how as it is enormous. I wonder what on earth he has put inside!

"I was not that hungry anyway..." I reply and manage to take the package from the servants that help me to hold it right.

Believe it or not I may not be afraid of him, I know he won't hurt me but I am scared of his reaction. When I see his big eyes so black from anger I lose the ground under my feet and then with his statement I gasp.
