Chapter 10 - Present - Maria
As Ria had said before, it was so calm as if everything was perfectly normal, yet she couldn't imagine half of the things that would happen soon in her life...
From afar, the man saw her immediately, not caring that there were other people there with them.
He wanted to see her again, apologize for what he did in the past, look into her eyes without worrying about that burden he carried in his chest.
... So without thinking, he ran to her, ignoring Coleman's wolves...
He called out to her, but as he could already imagine, she chose to ignore him before his hand touched her arm, stopping her.
... The Vampire's face becoming even paler if that was possible...
Like her, he also held his breath before she slowly lifted her head to him... Allowing her eyes to meet his at that moment when the world seemed to have stopped while she couldn't deny that she truly knew those mismatching eyes...

Yet shocked by what he had just said, no one seemed to think it would be a good idea to help me get rid of him while I continued to try to make him let go while holding the little boy who slept in my arms.
Releasing the hand of the older pup beside me, I finally managed to do that, taking a step back too; however, with a sad look in his eyes, he tried to get closer to me again...
GROOOOOOWL!
Getting confused about where that noise came from for a second, I soon saw the owner of that snarl back to my side, holding my coat while threatening the man who was clearly much older than him.
... Looking at him again, it was easy to see how my actions hurt him, but that wasn't my fault, and anything that could exist between us had ended years ago...
Taking a few more steps back, I could hear him speak again, asking me to hear him out, that he just wanted to talk to me, that I should give him a second chance.
But clearly, his requests weren't accepted by me while I pretended it wasn't happening to me. It was too bad to be true, and maybe if I weren't with the pups there, I would have run away from there already to the closest place to hide from him.
"... Ria?" Coming to my side in the midst of that strange mood that was in there, Jordan seemed lost about what he could tell me as I felt more and more blood drain from my already pale skin. "... Are you fine?"
His question was simple but enough to help me escape.
"No, I'm not. Can we leave now?" I replied, handing his youngest son to him before running back to the car, locking the door immediately after entering with a sigh, opening it only again when Jo knocked on the window.
... And that was long enough to see what was going on outside...
Now I could understand why I had managed to get in the van without him holding me again, Coleman's Alpha was stopping him for me, or at least, I assumed that...
Once more, our eyes met before the door was closed, and as my attention was drawn again to those eyes of different colors, the left blue, and the right green, I was able to hear his appeal desperate for the last time...
"MATE! PLEASE... Don't leave, Mate..."
It sounded like a hopeless howl, but it completely made sense... After all, he was a Werewolf.
