On Friday, at the dinner party of the Morris family.
Looking at the Morris family's gate, which had been given a new coat of paint, Lilly was full of mixed feelings.
She had left this place for five years.
Today she was wearing the dress Maisy bought for her along with some light makeup. She had combed her hair and it flowed down her back.
She was both intelligent and sexy, which made her totally different from the Lilly Laura had seen that day.
The banquet had not officially begun, but the guests had already started arriving in an endless stream.
From the looks of it, the Morris family had climbed a little higher on the social ladder in just five years.
Lilly easily passed the security check due to Melissa's invitation card.
Upon entering the banquet hall, she realized that the decor was different. The house now had a different style and was no longer her mother's trademark Chinese style.
Moreover, she could not recognize the servants coming and going.
Lilly couldn't help but c***k a bitter smile. The Morris family had completely changed from the inside out after she left.
Were they so terrified that she would return?
Just as Lilly was absent-mindedly looking around, Laura White's sharp eyes spotted her.
Her bright smile froze on her face.
"Please excuse me for a moment." Laura said to the person beside her.
"How did she get in?" Laura quickly found the housekeeper, pointed at Lilly, and asked.
"Madam, she is the second daughter of the Collins family. She has an invitation." The housekeeper did not know Lilly.
Upon hearing this, Laura White frowned. It seemed that she had really underestimated Lilly's tricks.
However, it would not be so easy for Lilly to return to the Morris family.
A plan quickly flashed through Laura's mind.
On the other side, Lilly's eyes were focused on the huge poster in the middle of the banquet hall.
A cute boy with a smile was printed on it, accompanied by blessings.
Happy birthday, Max!
This was Zak and Laura's child?
Her younger brother?
Lilly was in a bit of a daze. Looking at her younger brother who was about the same age as Maisy, she couldn't hate him.
"Ah!"
"Miss, I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
As Lilly turned around, she collided with a servant carrying a wine tray, spilling several glasses of red wine on her dress.
It caused quite a bit of noise which attracted the attention of the surrounding people.
"I'm fine, I'm fine." Lilly lowered her head and tried to leave the crowd.
She came to the Morris family just to take back her mother's belongings. She did not want to see the people of the Morris family.
But the servant kept blocking her and apologising to her.
"As I said, it doesn't matter. Please get out of my way."
Such a low-level mistake on such an upper-class occasion always made people feel that something was about to go wrong.
Lilly could not help but scold the servant angrily. But just as she finished speaking,
Laura's voice over the microphone echoed throughout the banquet hall, and everyone looked up.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I'm really sorry. We might need to stop the celebrations for a while because there are thieves among us. My red agate necklace has just been stolen."
