Fateful Marriage

Its been hell thanks to payton ever since I got here. It's not easy being a kid in a school full of moody teenagers and a lunatic sister set out to make your life a living hell. She and my former nightmare neighbor took any opportunity they had when they saw me to say mean words and payton always got physical, always shoving and pushing me around.

After the fact that I wasn't biological siblings came to be , payton who always thought that I was an illegitimate child who almost broke up their family took it worse. After leaving their house, my grandfather stopped sending them money, they couldn't get access to the trust fund my father left me and after finding out how they treated me, grandpa banned them from visiting me nor entering his household.

My uncle was lazy and depended on my grandfather most of the time and his crazy wife always spending money on clothes so without an extra income they downgraded. My uncle had to beg for a job at grandpa's company just to survive. I found out that they received over 10 million monthly for my living expenses and to think I was forbidden to eat occasionally plus the yelling at me for being useless was pretty funny.

My grandfather gave him a job as a normal employee and no special treatment so he got a job he was qualified for and that was starting out as an intern although he finally became a director a year ago. They had to sell their holiday homes just to pay off their debts since they couldn't excess their children's inheritance.

I was still a little chubby and Tommy always ganged up on me with his friends for it. I couldn't transfer to another school since we were at the top primary school thanks to the trust fund and I was in love with their science department. I had Mackenzie and Sarah as friends there to help me through it all but that changed since I skipped grade when psycho tommy kicked in when he noticed that he couldn't break me and started getting worse.

I always got a feeling that he wanted to kill me because all his pranks were life threatening. We never had proof that it was him but everyone in school knew it was. For a kid to always clean up all his mess , that got me afraid of how he'll be when he was an adult.

I am currently in sophomore year at the 13 years old. I was plus size and still had baby fat not to mention the fact that I was top student never made my life easier. River city high school was a private school and it's were kids from elite families go to. Although the clan split up, they still had a foothold in the upper class society. My grandfather had a huge influence in the business world.

Due to jealousy, I was always bullied and I couldn't make friends since all of the people who talked to me was either about asking grandpa to invest in their family products or because they head from payton that I'm rich.

After talking to my grandfather, I decided to talk to a phycologist about the bullying since I noticed that I had always turned to food to deal with it and that was why my chubby appearance was slowly increasing to being fat.

I started eating healthy and grandpa hired a trainer to teach me self defense and that ended up with me taking martial arts and judo class. My trainer was a grandson of grandpa's late friend and was 10 years older than me. He is currently a Captain in the army.

He told me that I was a fast learner and kept sending trainers specializing in different fields to teach me and Mackenzie plus Mason and Finn joined us when they were free. Mac and I found out that they were starting a company secretly but they were lacking funds so we promised to help them by becoming silent partners. Mac invested 2 million that she had earned secretly from a hacking website and I invested 4 million from the competitions I entered, They both invested 10 million each and since it was a starting company the money was enough.

They each had 35% shares while I had 20% and Mac 10%. We decided to call it FOUR LUCK GROUP. Mason registered it since mac and I were still underage. Mason also skipped a class and went to college at the age of 17 so he is currently in sophomore year in Maple University in Country D majoring in Business studies away from his toxic family.

He always stays with either at grandpa's or uncle sam's house with Mackenzie. Finn stays with me because his father got his mistress outside pregnant and brought her to their house, it was a mess at uncle Finn's home as well as the divorce craze they have going on. It was finalized a week ago and Finn's mother got 70% of the property and money since she had physical proof of his infidelity.

Finn now has two crying step sisters that look nothing like his father or him and it was confirmed when they had to have a paternity test in order to enter the Educational Trust fund that they were not uncle Finn's children.

It was so funny, she admitted that she was sleeping with him and his best friend at the time of conception but the man also took a DNA test with the twins saying that she was too loose and they came back negative.

We were currently in a diner near Finn's home watching as uncle Finn kick them out. Finn couldn't care less about his parents, they were always money oriented and never really cared about him, he was just a means to get some of the trust fund money and status in the "Mom's group".

We were all talking and laughing when Maria entered with her new boyfriend. He was twice her age but she didn't care since he was rich and had a status in the Lee family. This man has a certain reputation in our class for going after teenagers and he generously pays them a break up fee after he gets tired of them. With my grandpa cutting off their financial help, it is now clear how maria managed to support herself.

" Well well well, what do we have here, the four unwanted losers of the family." said maria

" Well if it isn't the trashy elder sister, I guess that's your new walking bank account" replied Mac.

" None of your business" she said annoyed.

" True but do you think Daniel will also say the same thing?" asked Mac.

" You!! If you tell him about this then don't blame for forgetting that we were blood related" said Maria as she walked away.

" Who's Daniel?" asked Mason.

" A self entitled second rich generation brat my sister is in love with. He's only interested in the money she'll receive when she turns 18 next year. He's attending art academy along with my stupid sister. He always looks at me like watching a live strip show which is creepy but she's obsessed with him. My parents are currently broke so she needs money so she resorts to being a mistress thanks to my mom. I wonder what will happen if great grandpa's company goes bankrupt since everyone wants to go there." Mac said.

" Oh it will, My dad is handing it over to Jason so you know how it will turn out which is why I'm laying low so that b****** doesn't target our business until we are strong enough" Mason said.

" True, so have you two decided on which field you want to take on? " Finn asked me and Mac.

" I love mathematics so I'm going to take up finance. Uncle Sam is an accountant and has been teaching me plus I'll be joining Lira at River City high school next year." mac said.

" Really!! I thought you weren't interested in skipping grades?" I asked her.

" True but your former brother is targeting me this time and he's getting worse. Yesterday he forcefully kissed Jessica just because she sat next to me in art class. Apparently he likes Sarah and "only she sits on that chair " . He seriously needs help. Now everyone avoids me at school." said Mac.

" True but uncle Eric and aunt Quinn are encouraging his behaviors so there's nothing we can do." I said.

" So Lira, stop with all the suspense. Which major will you be choosing? " Asked Mason.

I laughed and said " I've already accepted an offer from University of Cambridge to do a triple major in chemical and mechanical engineering plus medicine. I've been working with some of their professors on research papers. I could've gone there but grandpa wants me to experience high school at least this year and I'll be graduating early next year. Technically, I've already finished the whole high school program so there's nothing they can teach me there." I said.

They were all looking at me like I grew two heads.

" what is it?" I asked

" You do realize that you are only 13 right? " Mason said to me in amazement.

" Yeah and three majors? " Said Finn.

" I thought you were going to MIT " said Mac.

" Yes I did but I could do all the courses I wanted in Cambridge. Plus I can also attend business and economics class if I want to." I said

They were looking at me with wide eyes .

" I see why grand uncle wants you to attend school first, knowing how lazy are, you've already started reading some of their course to skip a few grades aren't you?" finn said.

" How did you know?" I asked him. I was seriously surprised.

" Lucky guess" he said blandly.

" I'll be going to YALE next year and the investment we did in the movie last year paid off. We made 785 million in commission since it was a huge hit and I'm ready to start recruiting for the entertainment company. I saw that your real estate company is growing rapidly and since Mac and Lira already chose thier fields, we should do research and see if we could expand there. Maybe an accounting firm or a research company. Anything is possible." said Finn.

" That could be possible, you could use some of the inventions I made and mass produce it. Grandpa already produced some that can be used easily plus I'm working on medical equipment with Dr Simp. Mac and I were working on a security software that i think will be beneficial to big companies so we should make a patent and sell it to some of the big companies like great grandpa's company that have a tacky IT department." I said and I noticed they were staring at me.

" Exactly how much money have you made?" Mackenzie asked me.

" Not sure, grandpa placed it all in my bank account that he managed to open for me " I replied.

" Congratulations, you are the newly appointed Chairman of the board" Mason said smiling making choke on the orange juice I was drinking.

" Uhhm NO! " I said , it sounds like more work. I already have a lot on my plate and I would rather be a silent partner.

" Then its decided, congratulations" said Finn.

" Yes congrats Lira, you can do it" Said Mac

" Mason can be the Chairman and we can all be CEO ' s of our companies." I said.

" We are a group. Sweetie , you'll be The Chairman, I'll be the vice chairman, Finn the president and Mac will be the the vice president. Because we aren't powerful enough, we'll hire managers to manage our companies. I know grand uncle taught you a lot of stuff about business and you currently have a lot of time since you'll be going to the UK next year. You know more than we do on how to run a business. And it's not like you'll be doing it alone. We are all responsible. Finn and I were thinking of making you guys equal partners so we transferred so of our shares so we all have 25% shares." Mason said.

" You guys didn't have to do that, it is your company you both started so no need for that. We are happy being on the sidelines" said Mackenzie.

" Yeah and who would entrust a company to a child?" I asked them.

" A child who bit more than they can chew. Look sweetie, I'm studying business but you have way more insight than I do. You won't have to attend meetings if you want but your job will be to give us directions and as you've already realized, we are all focusing on different fields while you are versatile. We'll all focus on different things. I'll be focusing on the administration part, Finn will focus on the marketing and Mac will handle all the finance and you will focus on the overall group and make it a group instead of individual subsidized companies. Great grandpa has been grooming us since we were born and I believe we've got what it takes and who would believe that kids are behind the Four Luck Group. " Mason said.

" Fine but I work remotely. I'm currently working on a billion dollars project for the health ministry so I'll find time to look at what you guys have done so far. We should all meet next month and organize a formal meeting so we could discuss the way forward and what our goals are for group." I said.

" Spoken like a true leader" said Finn.

" You do realize that I'm 13 right? I haven't even started puberty yet. " I said.

" Yes we know. Although I am curious why you still wear those clothes , you have lost a lot of weight since you started working out with that hellish commander. You still have a bit of baby fat on your face but overall you look great. Your was always chubby but not too extreme so what's the deal. I also noticed that you are a genius and extremely capable of handling yourself so why are you letting matthew and that lunatic walk all over you? " Finn asked me.

Finn was studying at Riverside Academy of arts and since it's part of the River City high school, he must have heard of the stupid pranks those people did. I used to get depressed because of it and once thought of punishing them but after talking to my grandfather four years ago, I realized that It would be too easy for them.

" I can stand up for myself. If I fight them now, do you think it will stop them from doing something else? At first I thought that maybe it was just because payton and Tommy were jealous because of the inheritance but have guys realized that something doesn't add up?" I asked them.

" What do you mean?" Mac asked.

" When Tommy pushed me down the stairs years ago, although grandpa had physical proof of the fall and the fact that uncle denied that he pushed me. He couldn't do anything because he didn't have proof and could only get my custody since Dr Simp proved that they were physical abusing me because of the marks I deliberately didn't heal so I could get out of that hell h***. I realized that uncle and aunt didn't know about my biological inheritance otherwise they would've fought for custody at that time. Uncle could work at uncle Lincoln's company since they both have more shares and he chose to work as an intern in grandpa's company. All the mess and destruction payton and Tommy make always disappear into thin air, like when tommy tried to mo**** Lindy two years ago and she ended up dead two weeks after. Aunt Quinn isn't that smart and uncle Eric is mediocre but he still managed to pay for his huge debt and can pull clients to him compared to before great grandpa passed away. Tommy and Payton are getting increasingly arrogant as if they are above the law. Mason , you got your share dividends money but Jason isn't on your back like he always does and appears to be successful these days without doing anything? There are a lot of things happening like how the white lotus maria let go of the prim and proper pretense to play house with a man twice her age in daylight whilst her controlling father doesn't do anything about it? Payton and Tommy look nothing like aunt Quinn and I'm not sure but I once heard that she's born infertile while I stayed there. This all points to one thing." I said.

" What does it point to?" mac asked confused.

" That someone is manipulating some of the family members. I think we should investigate grandpa's death" Mason said.

" Right. Whoever it is must be powerful." finn said.

" Which is why, whatever you do, don't draw unnecessary attention towards yourself. We might be in danger which is why grandpa insist that I stay a year more because he can't control what happens overseas." I said.

" But that doesn't mean we can't defend ourselves if those stupid people attack us. You and Mac need to do something about payton , Tommy and maria. Finn and I are busy with the company and school but we are one call away if you need us." Mason said .

"We know. I'll warm Sarah about Tommy's behavior" mac said.

" Yeah, and I feel like the primary target is me" I said.

Maria came back with her date and we went back to talking about school. She snorted and called us nerds and left. I saw hickeys on her neck and all the pity I had for her was gone. That man could be her father for all I care.
