“Alora?!.” Alora’s mother called out!. “Baby?!.” She called out and pushed Alora’s room door open.
Both her and Helios Alora’s father was stunned by the sight. Alora laid on the pile of what used to be her room, it was a mess, with her under her blanket.
Helios pulled the duvet off her.
“Are you okay?!.” Helios asked Alora.
Alora looked up at him with sharp gold eyes. Her father pulled into his arms and cradled her like a newborn.
“Baby?!.” He called her. “What’s wrong?.”
Alora buried her face in her fathers arms.
“What’s wrong with her?!.” Winfred asked.

Alora’s POV
I got a heartbreaking news from school, I couldn’t believe it! My best friend is dead!!. Shot by a hunter!. I couldn’t concentrate during my last four lessons.
I was like a shell of myself, I wasn’t able to move, hear or speak.
Teachers kept calling me out but I was too far away to hear them, I could still see their lips moving but I didn’t hear them, I assumed they were still blabbing about the topics of the day. I stared up at the clock and then at the teacher.
Mira, my friend, gave me a little push, I looked at her and then I turned to the teacher who stood in front of me.
“Princess Alora Helios!!.” I heard the watch said.
I blinked and cleaned the tears that fell on my cheek.
“Are you okay?.” The teacher asked.
I nodded vigorously with a smile, I looked at the door when I heard the bell.
“Class dismissed!!.” She announced.
I got up, gathered my books, wore my backpack and ran out of the class. Even when I heard her calling I ignored it and ran down the hallways.
Mira followed me from behind.
“Princess?!.” Mira yelled.
“That’s a freaking title!!.” I told her, I stood and stared at her.
“You’re a Princess?!.” She asked.
“No!!, just call me Alora!!.”
“Alora what’s wrong?!.” She asked me.
I couldn’t understand! I couldn’t explain or say a word. My heart was burning, my head was spinning, saliva dried up.
“My best friend died!.” I told her.
“I am not dead!!.”she joked.
“Not the time!!.”
——
Alora walked home, and stared up to her room.
BACK TO THE PRESENT.
“Alora?!” Helios called.
“He is dead!!.” Alora murmured.
Her sharp gold eyes looked up at her father.
“Baby?!.” Helios said. “Who died?!.” He asked.
“Jones!!.” She said,
“Your boyfriend?!.” Her stepdad asked.
Alora’s mother stepped on his toes harshly to try to keep him quiet. Helios growled, he turned to Winfred and her husband, he snarled and growled.
Alora got on her feet as fast as she could, she pulled her father back trying to restrain him.
“He is not my boyfriend!!.” Alora yelled at them. “He was and still is my best friend!!.” Alora said, she paused and tears ran down her cheeks. “He was my only friend!.” She concluded and fell on the ground.
“He is a Rogue!!.” Helios thought out loud.
Alora looked up at him with confusion.
“What could have killed him?!.” He went on.
“I was told he was killed hunters!!.” Alora replied and cried harder.
“I doubt that!!.” Helios said with veins popping out his neck and the side of his head.
“Your face is turning red again!!, why are you so angry?!.” Alora murmured between her sobs.
Helios pulled her into his arms, he pet her head gently with rage in his eyes, he got Alora to bed, he pulled the duvet over her shivering body. Helios ran down the stairs with an angry face.
“What’s wrong?!.” Winfred whispered to Helios.
Helios stopped on his tracks, he gave Winfred a hard stare that melted her bones, Her husband stood in front of her in a defensive stance, Helios smiled, his sweet smile slowly turned into a grin, his half shifted claw flung Thomson down the stairs.
“What is wrong with you!!!.” Winfred yelled at him.
Helios took a step forward, his brown eyes turned gold.
“When were you going to tell me about the relationship between my daughter and a rogue?!!.” Helios asked even in his angry state he was able to control his anger around Winfred.
“You weren’t always around and he is just her friend!!.”
“She could be in danger!!, a rogue!!.” Helios tried to explain.
“He won’t hurt me!!.” Alora yelled from the top of the stares.
“Exactly what I am trying to tell you!!.” Thomson said. He got up holding his left shoulder.
Winfred pushed Helios who basically just took a step back, Winfred ran to Thomson, she tried to comfort him.
“Sorry!.” Alora said to her stepdad.
“I am okay!.” He said and gront. “You didn’t need to do that! Jones will never hurt me!!, he loved me!!.”Alora told her father.
“You have a mate!!.” Helios reminded her.
“That I don’t know!.” Alora replied with a frown.
“You don’t remember your favorite person?!.”
Alora looked down the stairs to find a man on a black regalia, black pants and a pair of sunshades in his hand.
“Uncle Aiden!!.” Alora yelled and ran downstairs.
She jumped on him, pulling his neck down, she wrapped her legs around his leg like she was a child. Her mother coughed and gave her a hard stare, Alora let go of Aiden, she recomposed herself and then bowed.
“Scrap the Uncle!.” Aiden said with a smile. “Your mother refused to let me attend your birthday but..”
“You didn’t let him come?!!.” Alora asked her mother. She frowned in anger, her fangs slowly began to spring out taking the place of her teeth.
Her hands shifted into claws, she was half shifted when she saw the look on her mother’s face, Alora took a step back, she ran up the stairs in fear of what she might do.
“Aiden!!.” Helios called.
Aiden turned and smiled knowing what his brother was going to ask of him.
“This is why!!?, I didn’t want her to be a Lycan!!.” Winfred yelled at Helios.
“...” Helios was tounge tied, he took a deep breath and walked out.
Before he walked out of the house he stoped to say. “Thomson!!, take care of Winfred!! And Aiden!!, you know what to do!!.”
He stepped out of the house.
“Don’t you dare go anywhere close to my daughter!!.” Winfred instructed Aiden.
“You’re married to your mate!!, and you’re trying to keep me away from mine?!.” Aiden asked.
“She is your god damn niece !!.”
Aiden ignored her and walked up the stairs, he walked into Alora’s room, he locked the door and turned to Alora who was hidden underneath her duvet. She was shivering in fear.
Aiden walked towards her bed, he sat down beside Alora, he pulled the duvet over her head and placed it on her chest.
“Her baby girl!.” Aiden said.
“I can’t believe he just left me!!.” Alora cried.
“Hey angel!, can you look at me?!.” Aiden asked her.
Alora cleaned her eyes and turned to Aiden, she pulled the duvet over her.
“Why?!.” Alora asked. “Is it because you’re my mate?!.” Alora asked him with tears.
Aiden took a deep breath, his eye didn’t show any emotion, he pulled her closer and placed her head on his leg.
“I can’t see you in this state!!.” Aiden said with a calm tone.
Alora wrapped her hand around his waist, crying her heart out.
——
“Is there no option?!.” Helios asked.
“There is no option!.” She replied.
“Come on!!, my daughter all ready knows her mate!!.” Helios said.
“It will affect all of you!!, that’s if you want to protect her!!. She would die!!, one way or the other!.” The priestess said.
“You said you could save her!!, you can make this better for us!!.” Helios repeated her words to her.
“Yes I did say I could do such!!.” The priestess said.
“Fine!!, get ready!!, we would commence with the ritual!!.” Helios said with unsure words.
He thought for a while, trying to understand if his discussion was worth it. Helios sat for a while thinking about what to do.
“Think of it!!.” The priestess whispered. “Do you want to lose your child?!.” She asked.
“Enough with your manipulations!!, I already accepted!!.” Helios barked at her.
“Okay enough!!.” The pristessed said with her hands up.
Helios walked out of the priestess coven, he got into his car and drove back to Winfred’s house,he knocked on the door for a few minutes then he immediately let himself in.
“Can’t you be patient?!.”Winfred yelled at him.
“I can’t be darling!!.” He said and pecked Winfred.
He heard a growl, he looked up to see Thomson and Alora.
“Come down baby!!, we have something important to do!!.” Helios told her.
Alora was about to run down the stairs when Thomson held her back. Alora struggled out of his arms.
“Leave me a lone!!.” Alora yelled at him.
Aiden growled at him, his eyes flickered between red and blue. Thomson took a step back and let go of Alora’s arm, she immediately walked towards Aiden.
