Aiden POV.
I and Marshal walked into the company building, all the staff stood from their desks, the ones already standing stopped what they were doing to greet me and Marshal, I was in too much of a hurry to answer their greetings.
Myself and Marshal walked staring to my private elevator which led straight to my office which was on the eighth floor so was the conference room.
Once I stepped out of the elevator I could hear the voices of the shareholders. They seemed to be having a crisis there, so I moved swiftly to the door. Marshal opened it for me and I walked in.
The moment I stepped in the chatter stopped, my Aura was enough to short them up without me saying a thing.
I sat at my usual seat, while Marshal sat beside me.
“Shall we begin??.” I asked with a cold tone.
“Yes indeed,” Mr Alfred said.
“Mr Alfred I need the report on the ongoing project in India.” I demanded with my eyes on him.
He seemed shaky, he flipped through the pages of his portfolio, from the first page till the very last.
“What’s wrong?.” I asked
“Nothing sir!. It seems all the documentation has gone missing.” Mr Alfred replied with an unusual amount of sweat that covered his face, even in the air conditioned room he was sweating like he was sitting on fire.
“That’s not a problem.” I smiled at him.
I could tell they were all shocked including Marshal who hid his shock well.
I knew quite alright that Mr Alfred was trying to rob my company, steal the contract for himself and cook up a lie to tell me, but from the looks of it I seem to be multiple steps ahead of him.
“You called a meeting, demanded to see me and have nothing to show me?!.” I asked.
“Ah… yes.. I mean no, no I had the documents but it was stolen!.”
“How interesting!. Wrap this meeting up. I have something important to get back to!.” I said and immediately stood up.
{Aiden are you heading back to the hotel?.} Marshal Mind-linked me.
{Yes} I replied plainly and walked out.
{Take care and I need alone time with my mate. I can deal with Alfred later!}
“Mr Ashar?.” I called.
“Yes sir!!.” He jumped when he heard his name.
“Submit the Year-end performance review!.”
Mr Ashar was one of the men in charge of my company outside the country, he was in his late forties, very hard working and relabel, though I have my doubts on his loyalty since he got married to our rival's last daughter who was the heiress of the company.
My green eyes gave him a cold stare. He was shocked.
“It’s already on your table.” He replied.
I gave Marshal a knowing look and walked out.
{ Alpha!. There is a problem with the white moon pack} I heard from the mind-link.
‘Seriously just an alone time, that’s all I am asking for!.’ I scolded in my head.
{ Book a flight for next weekend.}
{ Next weekend??}
{Yes Liam!.} I replied to my stubborn Gamma.
After our conversation I short out every other mind from mine.
I got into my car and instructed the driver to take me back to the hotel. Luckily the road was free and I had a smooth drive back to the hotel.
I rushed back to room 7008 where my Mate was. I didn’t even know her name yet. I made a mental note to ask her that. I knock on the door before opening it.
“Hi..” she said in shock.
“Sit!.” I said, as soon as it left my lips I regretted it. It sounded more like an instruction.
She sat immediately, I could see her fear, tears stood in her eyes, I saw the courage she used to hold them back, I instantly felt bad for my actions.
“What’s your name?”
“I am Alora.” She replied.
Before I could say another thing she ran off, out of the room.
“Do I have to be so authoritative!.” I scolded myself
