Chapter 15: Love..

A few hours later…

For some reason, I woke up to only Aiden in the bed. I got up to the bathroom and then I put on a robe to figure out where he was. I walked over to their old room and he wasn’t in there. I went down to the kitchen and he wasn’t there either. I made myself a quick sandwich and drunk down a Gatorade then I went back to the mission at hand. Then it hit me, he is in the library. I quickly made my way there with my Gatorade in hand. The door was open with light shining in the hallway. I poked my head around the corner and there he was…sitting at a desk while looking over some documents. I walked in and then shut the door, but he still didn’t look up at me. I walked over to his desk and set my Gatorade down while I walked over to where he was sitting. I touched his shoulder, but he still didn’t look at me. I sighed. I then grabbed his face to look at me.

“What is going on? Why are you not in bed? Why did you just act as if I didn’t exist a minute ago? What the hell is going on?” I demanded of him. He sighed a deep sigh filled with sadness. That’s it. I pushed him back and then crawled into his lap. I straddled him while I took his face in my hands. “Talk. To. Me.” I begged of him.

“Do you know what was going through my head while you were gone? Do you know the type of fear I felt that he was laying his hands on you and I had no idea that you were even gone? Do you know that Aiden had to hold me back from ripping my mother’s office apart? When my mother told me that you had gone to Mia, I let out the loudest growl that shook the pack house. I almost destroyed the pack house if it wasn’t for Aiden. I was terrified that you were with him and I was not there to protect you. I didn’t even know where the f**k you were?! I felt the tears stream down my face from hearing him speak…I didn’t mean to make him worry and honestly, I wasn’t really thinking about my mates when Moon and I came up with the plan. “I am so sorry, Elijah. Please forgive me. I didn’t mean to make you worry or have you go through that turmoil while I was going through with my plan…” I broke out in a sob before I could continue. I pulled my head up and looked at him while having tears streaming down my face. “Please….please forgive me. I love you so much, Elijah. You mean the world to me along with Aiden…I couldn’t not live with myself if I did anything to cause either of you pain or suffering and knowing I did just that has broken my heart. Please, forgive me.” I buried my face in his chest as I clutched onto his shirt while I full on sobbed. He sighed before I felt his arms go around me and he started to rub my back up and down.

“I forgive you. I am sorry, my love. I never wanted to cause you pain either. I was just so scared.” He said with a shaky voice.

I pulled my head up and kissed him slow on the lips as I felt him kiss me back. I could taste his tears while we kissed as I am sure he tasted mine. I then wrapped my arms around his neck while his hands went to my hips.
