Chapter 16: I'm sorry, WHAAT

-Skylar P.O.V.- 

The next morning, I woke up bright and early because I wanted to go see Mia. To my surprise she was eating breakfast at the bar in the kitchen. I walked over and hugged her from behind making her laugh. I pulled away and headed to the fridge.

“So, how are you feeling? And where is everyone?” I ask her as I am pulling a water out of the fridge.

“Mom went to the office earlier to deal with some matters while Dad went to work with Gavin. Then Elijah and Aiden are still sleeping, I am guessing.” She says the last part laughing. I chuckle along with her.

“Yeah, they are. Are you okay? You didn’t answer that question.” I ask her as I am standing across from her. She looks up at me and smiles.

“I am fine, honestly. I can handle anything, and I knew my family would come and save me. I mean be weak in some areas, but I am not to be underestimated. I have trained for the day that I would be kidnapped for this very reason. So, I know what to do and how to handle myself.” She said with a shrug.

“I never meant for him to attack you… I feel guilty for that.” I tell her in almost a whisper with my head hung low.

“YOU DIDN’T DO ANYTHING WRONG.” She yells at me making me snap my head up to look at her. “He is one to blame and now he is dead. Do not ever blame yourself.” She said to me with a stern voice. I just nodded my head to her.

I know I shouldn’t feel that way, but a piece of me does. All of sudden the front door slammed open to reveal a worried looking Annie.

“THANK GOD YOU BOTH ARE OKAY!” She said as she came rushing over to hug Mia and then me while her little baby boy was in her arms. I held out my arms once she pulled away from the side hug, she gave me, and she handed him over to me.

I cradled him to my chest as Mia told Annie what happened and everything. Annie just listened while I walked around the kitchen with little Liam in my arms. (Liam is Annie's son) As I was lost in my own little world holding Liam, Elijah and Aiden came down to the kitchen. Annie hugged them while they both tacked Mia to her chair.

“Get off of me, guys.” Mia huffed out as they both crushed her.

“Hell no!” Elijah yelled.

They finally pulled away from the hug and you could see that Mia secretly loved it. She loved that her family cared for her. Elijah and Aiden then turned their attention to me. Aiden smiled and came over to kiss my cheek. He walked off to make me something to eat while Elijah walked over and kissed Liam on the forehead then he kissed me on my cheek. Elijah just picked up a fruit bowl that was in the fridge and then got another one. He handed the other one to Annie who smiled at him. Then the back door flung open with a worried looking Lucy for the cause of it. She ran over to me and hugged me while I had Liam in my arms and then she ran over to Mia.

“Thank goddess you both are okay. Plus, I heard dad did a number on him.” Lucy said the last part laughing her butt off.

“Hell yeah he did!” I yelled out while laughing.

Mia threw her head back and laughed while the whole kitchen erupted with laughter. Little Liam just slept through the whole thing. Aiden then came over to talk Liam from me and told me to go eat. I went and sat next to Elijah while I ate the meal Aiden made for me. I looked around and smiled to myself. I finally have a family of my own and I couldn’t be happier.

Later during the day…

Mia, Annie, Liam, Lucy and I were sitting in the living room with Liam on my chest while we were all sprawled out watching a movie. We have been this way since Elijah and Aiden left to handle some pack business. They handled some of the money along with training the top warriors. Lucy was supposed to be at work with Gavin, but Gavin let her have the day off knowing that she needed to be here with us. Soon Asmodeus came through the front door and laughed once he saw all of us on the living room floor with pillows and blankets everywhere.

“Well, I didn’t know today was going to be a girl day.” He said while laughing.

“Oh shut it.” Mia yelled while Annie agreed.

“I heard what you did to that P.O.S. and it sounded bada**!” Lucy yelled which made all of us laugh. Asmodeus came through to the living room and chuckled.

“I would do it for any of my children and he got lucky. I could have done worse, but I couldn’t stand his face any longer. You know how I am about family, especially Lilith.”

“Lilith is worse?” I questioned while everyone snapped their heads to me.

“Are you kidding????” Lucy practically yelled at me.

“She is ruthless!” Annie said next.

“My mom is very protective over her pack and family. There isn’t anything she wouldn’t do for us all. My dad here may be worse in some areas, but in others my mom is the worst.” Mia said while chuckling.

“Yeah that’s my Queen.” Asmodeus beamed with love in his voice. Just then Lilith walked through the front door.

“What is going on in my living room??” She questioned us as Asmodeus wrapped an arm around her waist. I smiled from his form of affection. He was always by her side while touching her waist or arm in any way he could. They were really made for each other.

“We are hanging out while Skylar is the miracle woman who is holding my baby.” Annie spoke with a smile on her face. I looked over at her and raised an eyebrow at her.

“What does that mean?” I ask her.

“Are you kidding??? This is the most he has been chill since I had him! For some reason he is drawn to you, and I am not complaining at all.” She said while smiling.

What she said made me smile while I just cradled Liam closer to me. I loved holding him and I couldn’t wait to have children with Elijah and Aiden. They would be the perfect daddies to our children. Elijah would be the tough one who is always watching over them while keeping them in check while Aiden would be the gentler one. Aiden would be the one that would make sure they were mentally okay while also emotionally. I would then balance them out too. I never saw my life this way. I have two men who love me with everything in them and I couldn’t be happier. I also love them so much. I was broken out of my thoughts when Lilith spoke. 

"Liam is probably drawn to her because the baby that is inside her is calming him." Everyone snapped their heads in my direction while I looked at Lilith with wide eyes. 

"I'm sorry, WHAAT?!" I yelled out.
